Filming today the press preview of the moat exciting show this spring: "Artistes & Robots" at Grand Palais, brilliantly curated by Laurence Bertrand Dorleac and Jerôme Neutres. My absolute personal darlings of this groyp show were rhe drawing robots of @patricktresset, the robotic painting ballet by @leonelmoura, the installation of @raquelkogan, the absolutely amazin masterpiece by @eliascrespin, the "selfiebox" by @christasommerer and @laurentmignonneau and the absolutely amazing interactive virtual garden by @miguelchevalier and, last but not least the outstanding ORLANOIDE the android by @orlanofficiel. MAGIK INK – HACKING THE PRINTER

Le graphiste, de par sa nature, est lié au monde du support papier et de l’impression. Celle-ci est aujourd’hui devenue largement démocratique car présente dans toutes nos maison sous forme d’imprimante à jet d’encre.

Ce workshop avait pour objectif le hacking d’imprimantes et la création d’encres artisanales. A la fois magiciens et alchimistes, les étudiant-e-s ont expérimenté toutes sortes de solutions chromatiques, de l’extraction de pigments de plantes à l’utilisation de peinture professionnelle remixée, en passant par l’encre provenant de bactéries. Pendant ce workshop, Vanessa Lorenzo a présenté ses travaux de recherche sur les encres provenant de bactéries vivantes.

Le but de la semaine était d’apprendre le hacking des cartouches d’imprimantes, de savoir détourner ces machines et les processus standardisés afin de pouvoir imaginer de nouvelle solutions graphiques innovantes. Avec une approche scientifique, les étudiant-e-s ont mis en scène les résultats comme dans un test de laboratoire.
