A Fake Dentist at the Entrapment Operation was arrested in Bacolod

BACOLOD, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL -- A 41-year-old male who pretended to be a dentist was arrested in Bacolod, Negros Occidental. It was just last year in 2021 when a complaint against the suspect who’s pretending to be a dentist was now filed. One resident from Bago in this same province as identified and obtained from FMR Bacolod named Karen Onyas D. Villaluna.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-Bacolod conducted an entrapment operation and they determined the Modus Operandi of the suspect who was allegedly caught wearing Dental Braces last Wednesday (March 16, 2022) at the Brgy. 4. According to Atty. Renoir O. Baldovino, head of NBI-Bacolod said the suspect's online transaction has been going on for years without a professional license and is also not part of any dentist association.

Overall, 6 of the customers as victims were fraud as Atty. Baldovino urges the public to be careful and check especially if the service is cheap, so that there will be no regrets later. The incident is a clear example of being vigilant and critical, especially in dealing with strangers offering their services at cheaper prices since there are services that may result in crucial effects.

The suspect (Villaluna) had recovered a Dental Paraphernalia. He was now charged with a violation under the Republic Act #9484 or The Philippine Dental Act of 2007.
