A sculpture of the monument honoring engineer Evaristo Txurruka. Txurruka was the one who built the port of Bilbo and channeled its river, two facts that made possible the industrialisation and huge economic bloom of the city during the 19th century.

The sculpture is an allegory: a man (on the right) is fighting the sea, personified in Poseidon (left) who's already fallen and lost his crown; so although the man is still struggling, he will likely win the battle. The artist behind it was Miguel García de Salazar (1939).
