Jules: I’ll invite my dad and his family over, and you’re free to have your father and Curtis visit. But I’m not ready for them.

Violet: Dude, you can’t just ignore this forever. It’s not even their fault!! They didn’t know their daughters were dating each other while they were out eloping!

Jules: Well, my mom could have at least told me she was getting married...

Violet: That’s sort of the point of eloping, Jules!

Jules: Ugh, no, I’m reading this self-help book that everyone at the Chronicle has been barking about called “Stay On Track: A You Calendar And Journal”--

Violet: Mmhmmm...

Jules: --and just this totally vapid read-before organization porn trying yet again to coddle people into thinking the mundane drugery and spiritual emptiness of society is a personal and empowering choice--

Violet: Totally.

Jules: --and it just feels so reductive that every two years it seems like one of these pseudo-intellectual heaps of shit climbs the bestselling charts and makes braindead housewives and their sexually impotent husbands think they might have a stab at the Simerican dream...

Jules: ...and you haven’t been listening to me because you’re thinking about plowing me, huh?

Violet: God you’re so smart and sexy.

Gvaudoin shows up and immediately starts a fight, which Jules happily obliges in. they both have the “evil” trait. they gotta flex what they got when they’re around each other, i guess.
