Welcome wagon incoming! Victor needs to cool it, he was fawning over both Rose and Hannah. Julien himself was especially interested in Rose for an entirely different reason. Knowing that plantsims are basically master gardeners, he wanted to get some tips from her. He’s thinking of incorporating some of his own fresh produce into his recipes.

Introducing Kiss the Cooke, Julien’s small restaurant. It’ll be open on the days whenever he has the day off from work.

Just some set up prep work before the grand opening actually happens. First step: hiring some employees. Julien’s going to be the cook obviously but he needed a host and at least one server because I sincerely doubt you can run a restaurant in this game with just one sim. At Kiss the Cooke, we’ve got Regina Boyle as the hostess and Sadie Kosmokos as the server.

Also, I had the crappiest of crap outs yet with Community Time Mod during this round. To the point where the method to fix the ‘sims will be returning in 60 hours’ issue wasn't working so I sat my ass there on speed 3 for 2.5 sim days waiting for everything to fix itself. Truly awful experience, 0/10.

Winter in the Aspir household - Part 2 Where It All Happened

It was time for Matthew's birthday.

A lot of people showed up to his b-day party.

Including Salomea Curious...

She doesn't look very healthy (I mean, apart from Nervous' astonishing face features.)

I'm sure it's not the infamous Strangetown plague that has already claimed a few innocent souls. Everything will be fine. (nope)

On a side note, Victor was having a midlife crisis, so he changed his style drastically. I tried to make Victor less boring by turning him into some kind of hippie.

Another day started as any other. Elizabeth was at work, Victor was in the backyard, planting some marijuana in the middle of the winter, as one does. Then he suddenly stopped doing what he was doing and started crying. Something was wrong. A dog howl was heard from Pauline's room.

Yeah, somehow I missed the notification about her illness, and poor Pauline died without treatment, all alone.

Her step-brother doesn't care that much. Seems like he wants her room all to himself.

RIP little Pauline Aspir

Is this…a plate for Pauline? This is so sad.

Elizabeth hasn't been well lately. Noticing her expanding waistline, she realized that the birth control had failed and she is pregnant.

In memory of the deceased Pauline, she decided to keep the pregnancy, even though she didn't plan on having more children.

Day x arrived and Elizabeth went into labor.

Baby girl named Hope was born! But something went wrong...

A stressful and difficult pregnancy ended for Elizabeth in death during childbirth. But this time Victor was right there to fight for the life of his loved one.

He won!

(Matthew, as usual, didn't care)

So just like that, Elizabeth was brought back from the dead, and life went on as usual. Until one day when Elizabeth was cleaning the shed after her father-in-law Luis moved out of there to live with his fiancée Lucy Mole. In the attic, Elizabeth found a very dusty antique lamp.

She forgot about it for some time, but eventually decided that the lamp would make a good decoration for the house. So she cleaned it…

I think you can guess what she wished for.

The tales that old Luis loved to tell turned out to be true. The genie who grants wishes really does exist! Pauline returned as if she had never left!

Elizabeth set to work on a novel about all the miracles that happened to the Aspir family. The novel will be a bestseller for sure.

Still working on my savefile here and there and I have had some real CAS inspiration lately, so here are the sims from my version of the Skyward Palms neighborhood in Oasis Springs! Head-canon lore and mini-rant about the Calientes below lol:

At Sulty Springside, we have the Caliente household. On the latest Behind the Sims summit, the Sims team tried to retcon the existence of Katrina as Nina's and Dina's mother instead of/besides Nighat as Katrina being a clone they made bc they wanted a mom that was like them? So many question marks about that and so many other pieces of lore that don't really make sense if that is the case, but ok... My headcanon mostly places Sims 4 after Sims 2 in the timeline, even though I know that it is just an alternate timeline. In my mind, things got too messy in Pleasantview for the twins and for Don so they both moved away. Being the slow-aging alien-blooded gurlies that they are they partied and romanced around for a while before creating Katrina as the family matriarch to make the family seem more normal in their new environment of Oasis Springs, Cullen family style if you will. Two Calientes to romance and have drama is bad enough so I imagine Katrina moved out for a while bc it got messy, started dating Don, moved back in and brought him with her to mixed reactions from Dina and Nina, and that is where the save starts. In my mind Dina is more focused on romance as a way to get wealth whereas Nina finds enjoyment in all kinds of intrigue and drama, even with her clone-mothers boy-toy lol. This reflects in Katrina's new jealous trait and Don, well he is just Don lol.

In the middle we have the resident of Rio Verde, Gino Delicioso. Gino is in a similar way to the BFF household and DJ Candy inspired by a MySims character of the same name. I actually plan on including quite a lot of MySims characters in the savefile! He does not have a lot of lore of his own, so I made some up for him! Gino Delicioso is a world-famous pizza chef who has started pizzerias all over Simnation. He has the wealth and the fame, but has yet to be as successful in the romance department. Settling down in Oasis Springs and with a clear focus on his local Gino's Pizza and Pitstop restaurant, will Gino find a true love to eat pizza with forever or get stuck in the web of the ladies across the street?

Last but not least, living at Granada Place is the Aspir family. The Aspir's are a family from Desiderata Valley in Sims 2 Freetime I used to interact with a lot when I played Sims 2 as a child! I added some extra lore, did a little time-jump and wanted some extra toddlers in town so I added the little brother Darius, named after one of his great-grandfathers just like Pauline seems to be named after a relative. The Aspir family seems like the perfect multi-generational family from the outside, but in reality, they are falling apart. Crumbled under the pressure of her husband and stepfather Elizabeth had another child with Victor just like he wanted, but Elizabeth still secretly dreams of leaving it all behind to pursue her dream of becoming a famous actress. Victor still wants a bigger family and can not for the life of him understand why his wife keeps drifting further away from him. In the mids of this the couple's oldest daughter Pauline feels lonely and eager to grow, good thing she now has a brother to keep her company, as well as Victor's eccentric gadget-making father, Luis.

One of Xander's big wishes is to see a ghost, so he takes a trip to the Strangetown cemetery at the start of the semester. Ghosts have appeared there before, so it seems like a good place to start. Besides, Oresha-Hoh-Var's deceased brother, Orest Zole, lies there. Xander visits his grave first thing.

The night's a flop, though. The cemetery is packed - just not with ghosts. On top of that, Xander loses his wallet.

Also, I made Jessica and Sophia sisters. It's not just because of their faces, but I find it interesting that Jessica has family ties in desiderata valley . But in my story, they are estranged sisters and found each other a few years later.

At night, she accepted Sharon invitation to go to Downtown, just so she could practice her charisma, the skill she needs to get the next promotion

Pauline’s getting into the habit of smothering animals with her affection, first with Gouda and now with Mochi. She must be stopped.

My attempt at making them have their first family meal back together failed since Victor and Elizabeth were in the bedroom next to them woohooing. So uh, family dinner consisting of grandparents and granddaughter only.

Despite being retired, I like to think that Luis still gets contracted for some freelance work. Some extra money to bring into the household in addition to his retirement pension y’know.

After putting Pauline down for the night and getting ready to settle down themselves, Victor brought up a topic of discussion that’s become common: extending their family. Victor backed up point of view by saying things like ‘Just think of Pauline. Don’t you think she would love to have a younger sibling to play with?’

Elizabeth promptly shut him down and the air was tense as they went to bed, neither one of them satisfied with how that conversation went.

Winter in the Aspir household - Part 1 Where Nothing Happened

These are very old screenshots, I played in this household a while ago so I don't remember it very well

Someone from the family wanted to adopt a pet. In my head Victor is a dog person who would adopt a dog of the most popular and child-friendly breed and give it the most generic name. So the golden retriever Teddy joined the family. (no offence to anyone who owns a retriever named Teddy)

Teddy immediately made friends with Matthew, the adopted son of Victor and Elizabeth. (I guess I never posted anything about Matthew? That's how uninvested in this family I am, lol)

Pauline's grades went up! literally no one cares

Victor is the perfect husband and father. Sure, he loves to lie on the couch for half a day, but who doesn't?

Still, he does grocery shopping

He cooks delicious meals for the whole family

He takes good care of Matthew

Overall, Victor is a good sim. So why do I dislike him so much? He's like John Burb 2.0, only much lazier. I'm probably being unfair to him. And I call half of the Desiderata residents too boring, so it's probably a me problem.
