🧴Dumping De̲va ⚰ I previously recommended and personally used DevaCurl for styling and as a clenditioning alternative to shampoo. As you can see on wikipedia's page, they are currently under investigation for possibly causing hair loss. Link in the footnotes to the law firm investigating if you would like to be a part of that. 👩🏻‍⚖️ . I don't believe I personally suffered any hair loss but then I have been using New Wash for 9 months, so I only used Deva for styling rather than anything on my scalp. And my hair is very dense, so I always lose alot when I wash it because, also, I only wash it every 2 weeks. 🧼 . Unfortunately this means there is a backlash against the no-shampoo movement. That's not the problem here... 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝘅𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲. For example, this same principle is why several hairdressers I know who were raving about an awesome new color line, Pulp Riot, stopped using them when they were bought out by L'oreal.🤦🏻‍♀️ . So, I've removed all Deva from my salon and am now trying to return HUNDREDS of dollars of Deva products. But I have to send it directly to them because our distributor is still denying that this thing is real, calling it a "rumor" 🙄 I'll eat the cost if I have to but I definitely can't use it on your hair knowing that there will probably be a class action lawsuit against this company in the near future.💸 . This has inspired me to further lean in to the #toxicfree #cleanbeauty movement.
