Gomamon Beanie Plush Comparisons - Japanese Vs Western versions!

A bit late for Digi-Merch Monday but oh well :b Dedicated to the cool blog @veedramon-beanie, check them out if you like digimon and other cute franchise plushies :3

The main differences between the two versions are the Japanese version [on the left] having “painted” markings on the face,

back spots,

and front paws!

As you can see, the painted version doesn’t age as well, and can crack or peel off.

The only other differences are the tags:

The front of the Japanese tush tag reads “KutaKyara 4 Gomamon” and is located on the back left foot. Right beside the tag is a small string loop where the paper hang tag would’ve been attached, but mine does not have one.

The western plush has the hang tag popped through the top of the head with a plastic fastener; the set is called “Digi-Pals”. I am unsure if this is a Canadian version or if the English/French captions were on US versions as well?

The tush tags are in the same location as the Japanese plush, but there are two of them:

As mentioned in my previous post, if you bought one of these off of Aliexpress or some similar type of site, the one you received was actually worse quality; on this one, it looks like they ran out of purple thread to embroider the spots, so they just put black like no big deal. Also the yellow eyes instead of green, and embroidered face stripes instead of fabric. Annoyingly I only got a partial refund for this :/

Just in time for Digi-Merch Monday! This digital monster artbook arrived today~ There are a lot of digimon in it, but no Gomamon :( There’s Pichimon and Bukamon at least ^^;

Digi-Merch Monday - ZagToys’ Mini PLUSH Update!

New news has been posted by ZagToys about their upcoming set of Digimon mini plush! They will be blind boxed unfortunately, and will be available in North America starting in Late May! Suggested retail price is $7.99 each.

Keep an eye on any local store that might sell them though, I found my DOMEZ at a Toys ‘R Us here in Canada; they were in store only and weren’t listed on their website. ZagToys also made a post about their plush release HERE.

NEW WESTERN OFFICIAL DIGIMON MERCHANDISE!

Hey all, sorry this is a little late for #DigiMerchMonday, but hopefully you don’t mind knowing about these brand new official Digimon items before next Monday right? ;3 The info out there is scarce, but this is what I found so far:

The Digimon "Domez” blind bag figures are by Original Minis. Set of 9, I’m pretty sure Greymon was supposed to be the mystery ‘mon, not Gomamon :b No retail price posted anywhere, seems they were released this month!

The Digimon “Plush Minis” blind box set is supposed to be released sometime in April! It’s a set of 9, just like the figures. No known price for these either.

The distributor company is UCC Distributing. What do they do? I don’t know, digimon don’t deal with these complicated things ;>ᆺ>

UCC mentions some stores you can buy the plushies from [maybe the figures are sold in these places too?]

I gotta say, the plushies look really, um, bad. Like they didn’t even Tri. Except the Gomamon one of course ;3 Fandra says it’s weird that these got licensed when they look so much like the fake plushies being sold on ebay and aliexpress :< I hope these sell well enough that we’ll see more official Digimon-related merchandise in the future!

Fandramon: I found these Zag Toys Digimon Domez blind bag figures at a local Toys R Us store. I was hoping to find a Greymon but alas, I ended up with Patamon, Gomamon, Gatomon, Biyomon, and 2 Palmons! I’m glad I at least got a Gomamon and Patamon. Can’t wait to go searching all over again for the blind box plush when they’re released |D

It’s Digi-Merch Monday again! :3 I helped Fan unbox all this stuff that came from the new Digimon Tri events! Sadly if you want to buy some yourselves you missed out; the person doing pick-ups left Japan already ^^; The only ones we don’t have are the Digimon prize plush Kororin friends. Hopefully we can find them, can’t have too many digimon right? ;3

Digi-Merch Monday - ZagToys’ DOMEZ Update!
