I did a thing today! Torian's voice actor Johnny Yong Bosch was at FanX today and I had to go see him. I thought long and before choosing this picture, one of the first @dingoat ever did of my favorite couple. He seemed excited I brought him something from Swtor, nothing on his table reflected that he was involved with Star Wars at all.

He asked me if this meant I let him live. I told him that of course I do, Vette dies every time. And after he signed the picture he thanked me for playing the game and when I tell you that made me cry in a jam packed room full of nersy strangers, belive me. I couldn't get the tears to stop for several minutes. This was a wonderful interaction and I'm so glad I got to see him today.

Hiding. <_<

2. what activities have they participated in?

HACKING, to include some questionably legal manipulation of the Intel mainframes for the purposes of playing a competitive game.

Swoop racing (actually just a dream, he hasn’t raced anything YET, but he’s working on building a racer)

Model building, he has a complete set of working model ships and vehicles

Built his own mouse bot

3. what abilities do they have that they’ve worked for?

All of his skills he’s worked very hard to develop and become proficient at.  He started out at a disadvantage, not being able to concentrate in class and having difficulty remembering things.  He worked very hard to overcome this.

4. what things are they bad at?

Anything involving emotions. :’D

5. what is their most impressive talent?

Knife fighting.  Also dancing, he’s capable of some very impressive dance moves.

B: Basics1. what is their hair color?

Black

Dark blue

5 ft, 4 in / 162.5 cm

Depends, but he starts SWTOR at 17 years old.

Somewhat under an ideal healthy weight for his height and age.

C: Comfort1. how do they sit in a chair?

Properly.  Although, left to himself on something comfy, he likes to pull up his legs and snuggle under a blanket.

2. in what position do they sleep?

Usually curled up on one side.

3. what is their ideal comfort day?

Before meeting certain people, it’s holed up in his room either working on his models or studying tech manuals.  After meeting certain people, it’s snuggled on a sofa with something sweet and hot to drink, wearing thick sweater and socks, and either watching the fireplace or a movie (with a fire in the fireplace).

4. what is their major comfort food? why?

Some kind of hot, creamy soup.  Certain people made something like this for him on cold days or to help him feel better.

5. who is the best at comforting them when down?

A feeeew people: Seran-vin ( @askcarminelegacy​), Ziminder ( @kaosstar​), Ahuska ( @dingoat​), possibly a couple others. ♥

D: Decoration1. how would they decorate a house if they had one under their name?

Blakk’s DK stronghold is typically done in cool colors with sleek, industrial lines and clean, minimalistic styles, although he does favor green, so that’s probably here and there.  Left to his own devices though (and maybe some interior decoration hints), his ideal house would probably be decorated warmly, with a more natural, welcoming style of furniture.

2. how would they decorate their child’s room?

Blakk would not have a child. XD

3. how do they decorate their own room?

Same as above, except littered with pieces of tech and various flying vehicle models.

4. what type of clothes and accessories do they wear?

The best in Imperial fashion - clean, sharp lines, asymmetrical styling, appropriate use of contrasting colors and accents, usually a darker color spectrum (unless white or silver).  No flowers.

Accessories include knives everywhere, a stealth unit, comms, Intel-tech grappling hook.  Less practical accessories include possible hat, white or black gloves (or dark green if he’s wearing green), earring (just one, asymmetry FTW), or choker. 

5. do they like makeup/nail/beauty trends?

No.  Except when disguised as a woman, then of course whatever is tasteful and stylish and matching his clothes.  Possibly sparkles and/or tattoos in interesting places if left up to Watcher Two. ;)

E: External Personality1. does the way they do things portray their internal personality?

Yes, very much.

2. do they do things that conform to the norm?

To the classic “Imperial norm,” yes.

3. do they follow trends or do their own thing?

Tasteful trends in fashion.  Other trends, generally not; Blakk is something of a lone wolf and finds it hard to group along with others.

Not in the least.

5. do they portray their personality intentionally or let people figure it out on their own?

Blakk unintentionally does not portray his full personality.

Not having one.

His eyes.

Probably his shy kindness or awkwardness.

Generally, he’s very loyal to his friends and honestly thinks the world of them.

Blakk likes his appearance; he’s not shy at all about being seen and being fashionable.  He hates the rest of himself. XD

The ability of people to make friends or speak or hang out or have fun so easily.

Hot!  The hotter the better.

Oh yes. Or half-truths, or not confessing his feelings before it’s too late.

No, but certain people have discovered truths Blakk would rather have been left alone. <_<

Yes, even beat up a few times at Intelligence.

No.

Blakk has never told anyone.  He thinks “allowing” himself to be beat up is a severe weakness, and he’s pretty demoralized that no one noticed or stepped in.

When it comes to fighting, probably yes.  He’s extremely agile, tenacious, and downright vicious.

No?  This is a very bizarre set of questions.  Clearly someone had no ideas when it comes to ‘V’.

Possibly, when eating too much unfamiliar food.

Not very good, but Blakk will sit with them and provide company.

Warmth and physical contact.

Generally something smooth and instrumental, like Classical.

Blakk can actually sing reasonably well, he’s a tenor.

Y: You1. how old were you when you created them?

Uhhh I do a terrible job of tracking what I did when.  Just about the time I started SWTOR, I created Blakk.

2. what inspired you to create them?

Blakk is the what-if Imperial universe version of my Jedi Knight Zakku’an.  The “what-if” brainstorming determined how his personality changed, and his appearance is the result of what I liked when changing Zak’s appearance with the character creator. XD

3. were they different when they were first created?

As Zak, he was very different.  More optimistic, friendly, and light-hearted.

4. do you enjoy writing them more than other characters?

Yes!

5. what’s your favorite thing about them?

Everything, especially how he has a chronic, “dig himself into deeper and deeper holes” problem. XD

Z: Zebra1. what’s their favorite animal?

He hates animals. Wolves. <_<

2. do they like animals?

Not generally.  Although one day he will end up with a varactyl named Featherhead, an akk dog he will be Force-bonded to, and a pack of miniature blurrgs named after his friends. 8)

Neither? Both?

Since he’s never wanted a pet, he doesn’t have one.

Quarantine Q & A

I was tagged by @dingoat, thanks for asking! I haven’t been on tumblr much lately so it’s good to hear how you are doing. 

I am gunna go ahead and tag anyone who wants to share because its both late and some of these might be more personal/real world than some people wanna say? Either way, if you wanna share go for it!

Are you staying home from work/school?

So I was working, but now I am not... exactly? It’s weird. I got a job (lead teacher in a preschool class for four year olds) literally the same friggin week they cancelled school and the never-ending escalation of stricter rules fell into place. First job in... 4 years and two days in things went crazy. Then we had a freaking earthquake! It wasn’t bad, no one was hurt, but it was scary and did not do my anxiety any favors. For two weeks I was working, with the like... 2-4 kids still coming to class but this week our center became an Emergency Child Care Center to provide free childcare for the kids of doctors, nurses, all those essential professions (our center is even right next to the biggest hospital in the state) and after talking to my husband we decided it was best if I worked from home on training and planning future curriculum because if I got something from one of the kids or parents I can’t exactly distance myself from him in our apartment.

If you’re staying home, who’s there with you?

My husband and evil cat, he is working remotely from home and she is... sleeping whenever she isn’t making it hard for me to write or stitch shit.

What movies have you watched recently?

I haven’t really watched any movies recently, unless you count kid movies during quiet time while I was working (even saw some of Tarzan, the Disney cartoon version I have never watched before).

What shows are you watching?

Funny enough, I just finished Parks and Rec with the hubby. He chose Community for our next show but we have also been watching Jeopardy episodes and playing “spot the serial killer”. 

Are you a homebody?

Yeah kinda, I like being at home and as long as I can get out every so often I am okay. What I really miss is being able to go see my family. I miss my nieces so much and I have a baby nephew who is growing crazy fast while I am not getting to see or love on him.

An event you were looking forward to that got cancelled?

So far no, though like @cinlat I am getting concerned about the trip we have planned this summer. Hopefully the world gets it’s shit together cause I wanna meet her and explore the insanity that is her side of the country (cause it sounds like a whole different world over there).

What music are you listening to?  

Kid friendly pop and Disney music? Other than that I haven’t been listening to a ton of music lately. When playing video games I am listening to training videos or youtube clips about how the world is doing. 

What are you reading?

Well.... I’ve read like 4 books in the last two days? Cause I had to read all four entries in the Guardian Security series and then found The Kings of the Guardians series that is actually the previous series for it so now I can find out how all the other dudes lives went down. Oh and Paladin just came out and I dragged that out a few days.... Obviously I read a lot, my Goodreads goal this year is 200 books and I am at 143 according to my Kindle app.

What are you doing for self-care?

Reading lots of fun, “happy ever after” guaranteed romance books, watching the Great British Bake Off for the soft vibes, playing Diablo, tinkering with fanfic ideas (Torian is adopting a baby Rishii for him and Noara to raise now apparently and I love it) and making a new tissue box cover for my class with dinosaurs on it :D

I am 5'7" or taller I wear glasses I have at least one tattoo I have at least one piercing I have blonde hair I have brown eyes I have short hair My abs are at least somewhat defined (somewhat? How dare you. I’m glorious.) I have or have had braces

PERSONALITY

I love meeting new people. People tell me that I’m funny. Helping others with their problems is a big priority for me. (If their problems are dead, they’re solved!) I enjoy physical challenges. I enjoy mental challenges. I’m playfully rude with people I know well. I started saying something ironically and now I can’t stop saying it. There is something I would change about my personality. (See above about being glorious)

ABILITY

I can sing well. I can play an instrument. I can do over 30 push-ups without stopping I’m a fast runner. (Using the Force is perfectly fair.) I can draw well. I have a good memory. I’m good at doing math in my head. I can hold my breath underwater for over a minute. I have beaten at least 2 people in arm wrestling. I know how to cook at least 3 meals from scratch. (it does help that I like my meals raw) I know how to throw a proper punch.

HOBBIES

I enjoy playing sports I’m on a sports team at my school or somewhere else I’m in an orchestra or choir at my school or somewhere else I have learned a new song in the past week I work out at least once a week I’ve gone for runs at least once a week in the warmer months I have drawn something in the past month I enjoy writing I do or have done martial arts

Sigh. I'd forgotten just exactly how ham-fisted and annoying swtor's efforts to return the status quo after Kotfe/Kotet was. Such a fun ride and now the story doesn't feel remotely real any more.
