Être embauché comme ouvrier, porter un uniforme de haute visibilité, des bottes en caoutchouc, un casque de securité, obéir aux ordres d'un chef, apprendre la discipline et le respect des règles, se salir les mains, être au contact permanent de la poussière et de la boue, bien transpirer, commencer tôt le matin, finir tard le soir, bosser même la nuit, weekends et jours fériés s'il le faut, subir le mépris de la société pour la classe ouvrière mais apprendre la solidarité et la générosité entre collègues. Tout un programme pour gagner en virilité, en masculinité, en utilité pour la société et finalement vouloir rester définitivement à cette place d'ouvrier et en être fier !
