No. 277: Father of the Bride (1991) Father of the Bride is such a a classic dramedy from Steve Martin's filmography that just so happens to be part of a (technically) quasi-trilogy and yet so timeless that it could have been released in any time. 1950s, 1970s, 1991, even now. I only hope that it does not get remade and rehashed in this "what's old is new again" and "new is always better" age of filmmaking we are currently in. I'm directing that at DisneyCo right now.
