i'm not sure how i should rate this. please tell me if you have opinions.

this may include, but isn't limited to:

the owner serving as a caretaker for the pet when they pet regress/have pet thoughts/have kin shifts

the pet getting atypical euphoria from the idea of being a pet

the owner giving the pet training to do tricks, whatever that may mean for the people involved

the pet being an introject/kin/etc of an animal character, and the owner being an introject/kin/etc of that character's ower from their source

the owner being dissopet/another dissodic label, or the pet being dissoconnopet, envicaninsti, envidog or any similar labels

the pet being a recovering r*dqueer and the owner helping them express their want to be "owned" in a risk-aware and safer way

this may include, but isn't limited to:

the dog being loving, affectionate, and protective towards the owner

the owner serving as a caretaker for the dog when they pet regress/have pet thoughts/have kin shifts

the dog getting atypical euphoria from the idea of being a dog

the owner giving the dog "training" to do tricks, whatever that may mean for the people involved, possibly "training" to help the dog treat themself better

Tamer+Stray: a 16+ nichelink relationship/relationship dynamic where one person is the "stray" and the other is the "tamer."

this is a subset of Pet+Owner, and this label is in reference to how stray animals (usually cats) may be cared for from a distance by a caring human who wants them to be safe, and the stray will slowly begin to trust them, possibly allowing themself to be pet, or even be brought inside the human's home. i had a bit of trouble putting this into words, but basically: if having this dynamic in your relationship sounds appealing, this is the term for you.

"stray" can be substituted for "stray cat" "stray dog" "cat" or any other applicable term, or "tamer" can be substituted with "caretaker." this nichelink may include, but is not limited to:

enviren labels like envicaninsti etc

the stray being an introject/kin/alterhuman of a character who lived on their own/in the wild, perhaps after trauma, or constel labels like straydogstelic

presentation terms like feral queer

the stray being a person who is distant and flighty, perhaps due to trauma, and the tamer wanting to help them and being closer to them; entering the nichelink with the agreement that you'll build trust and encourage the stray to improve their mental health

wanting a dynamic like Pet+Owner, but more relaxed, letting the stray be largely independent but still able to come to the tamer for other needs

roleplaying that the tamer is leaving food out for the stray, or playing this out in video games, or in whatever real life ways are possible

the tamer being dissopet/etc, or the pet being dissoconnopet, desirdog etc

the stray being a recovering r*dqueer and the tamer helping them heal and learn trust again

this is a subset of Pet+Owner. this relationship may include but is not limited to:

the class pet wanting to be owned like a pet or being kin/introject/alterhuman/etc of a pet/animal

the people in the relationship wanting a dynamic like Pet+Owner, but maybe with slightly less obligation than that, involving less intense obligations and care, similar to how a class pet is only cared for by the students when they are at school

the people in the relationship wanting a dynamic like Pet+Owner, but specifically wanting this to be a polyamourous relationship where only one person is the pet and the rest have the ownership role

while "class pets" is a concept that i think is only seen in younger grade school classes, i decided to keep this 16+ rated because that's been what i've rated other Pet+Owner terms as. thank you for understanding.
