How to prevent your phone screen from breaking
oday's modern Smartphones are being made more and more fragile everyday. With that said, cell phone screens are more prone to breaking than ever before. There are a few ways you can help prevent your phone from breaking if dropped.
One way is to invest in a good case. A case will help protect your phone if you drop it and can potentially save your screen from shattering. Another way to help prevent your phone from breaking is to avoid dropping it in the first place. Be careful with your phone and try to keep it safe.
Next you will want to make sure you install a screen protector onto your new phone. This protection adds a layer of glass to your device which will ideally prevent the phone from breaking when dropped. The Cell Clinic stocked tempered glass and protection pro screen protectors in both of our store locations. For more information on the types of screen protection please see our page on Cell Phone Screen Protection.
You can also try to keep your phone in a safe place where it is less likely to fall and break. For example, don't leave your phone on the edge of a table or counter where it could easily be knocked off.
Lastly, if you do drop your phone and the screen does break, don't panic. Take it to a professional like the Cell Clinic right away so they can fix it and prevent any further damage.
By following these tips, you can help avoid breaking your cell phone screen.

Crashed, Dropped, or Drowned in Sydney? We Can Repair Your DJI Drone With Ease
Tumblr media
DJI drones are a fantastic tool for photographers and videographers. But as every owner knows, they are notoriously prone to damage.
Fortunately, it’s easy for a DJI drone repairs centre or licensed repair shop to get your drone back in working order, even in this faraway corner of the world.
How easy? Let’s walk through the professional DJI drone repairs process to find out.
1. Assessing and quote
If you’re after DJI drone repairs in Sydney, there is a good chance you’ve already run into the many hazards of drone ownership here. From water and sand damage incurred from shooting at the beach to extreme heat waves to unpredictable weather, your drone can get damaged by any number of things.
So, the first thing we do is assess the damage to see what’s wrong and give you a quote depending on what we find. External damage is easy to spot, but if your drone took a dip or a hard crash, there may be internal damage as well.
2. Repairs and replacements
The next step is repairs. Doing drone repairs in Sydney is significantly easier than film camera repairs. While most easily damaged drone parts like propellers, arms, and chassis will likely have to be outright replaced, replacement parts aren’t difficult to come by as there are plenty of authorised suppliers to choose from. So if need be, we can easily order them in.
More complex parts like the mainboard and gimbal, meanwhile, can usually be repaired by experienced hands. So whether these parts require smouldering, a thorough clean, or replacement, we’ll discuss the options with you.
3. Workmanship warranty
Finally, the warranty. All our repair work is under a 90-day workmanship warranty, regardless of whether your drone had a manufacturing defect or suffered damage from piloting or hostile weather. So if you find your drone is still acting up after leaving our shop, you can bring it in up to 3 months down the line for free re-repairs.
So, if you’re looking for professional drone repairs or DJI drone servicing in Sydney, you don’t need to look up “DJI drone repairs near me.”
Bring your drone to CameraFIX, and we’ll get you sorted.

All of the essential gear fit for your next vacation
As you head out on your summer vacation —or any vacation —make sure you are prepared. Here is the actual gear that we pack up and take with us whenever we hit the road (or air).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vacation planning
We all bring tech on vacation. Having just returned from a spring trip, this is the gear that I brought with me —and recommend —that got me through a near week-long trip without hiccup.
Zendure SuperTank
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Zendure SuperTank
The first we needed when heading out on our vacation was a reliable battery pack. This was going to be essential when we were in the car, in the air, or wherever we end up. We couldn’t guarantee we’d find power so a battery —and a big one at that —was crucial.
youtube
After our initial review of the Zendure SuperTank we knew this was the one we were going to bring along. It is massive —the largest allowed on planes —and had four ports including multiple USB-C. That was enough for us and our travel partners do ensure power for our phones, watches, cameras, tablets, and computers.
It is also quite small and portable compared to most other battery packs of this size. It slipped easily into the side of our bag and we were off.
After a wildly successful crowdfunding campaign, the SuperTank is now available to order for $99.
Nikon Z 7
Our iPhones are exceptional cameras. They get better each year with each new phone and each iterative iOS update. There are still times though when we want to get just the best images possible. Whether it is low light or a distant subject, we have to turn to our dedicated shooter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nikon Z7 Mirrorless camera
For us, that camera is the Nikon Z 7. We reviewed this camera when it launched and what makes it so perfect for our vacations is the fact it is so compact. We need a camera that is far better than our iPhone but without bogging us down. Z 7 is a mirrorless full-frame camera that is small enough for us to bring with us while not being overly burdened.
It has a massive 47MP, a growing lineup of new Z lenses, in-body three-axis stabilization, 4K video, and much more. It pairs to your iPhone via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi which make it great to either transfer images after you shoot them for quick sharing or controlling from your iPhone to get the great selfie.
The Nikon Z7 is available from Nikon authorized reseller Adorama with no tax collected on orders shipped outside New York and New Jersey*.
B&H Photo and Amazon are also Nikon authorized resellers who sell the Z7.
Zendure SuperPort
With a giant battery like that you need a great charger. Luckily Zendure thought the same thing. The SuperPort is a four-part multi-charger capable of up to 100W of power output. The SuperTank allows for 100W in so they go great together and is the fastest possible way to power up your battery.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Zendure SuperPort 4 ports
Unlike other multi-chargers from Anker, Satechi, RAVPower, or Aukey, Zendure took a different design approach. Rather than stacking all the ports on top of one another vertically then expect users to lay it on its side, Zendure started with a horizontal charger. It is flat and wide similar to an old MacBook Air external SuperDrive with all ports side by side. It is exceptionally convenient and easy to access.
When we travel, it seems we have more gear than ever that needs to constantly be charged. Our cameras, phones, smart watches, battery packs, tablets etc. Even if you go with the minimum for an Apple fan with just an iPhone and Apple Watch, if there are two of you (or more) you will need a few ports to utilize.
The four provided by SuperPort are great, two of which are super fast USB-C. That means we can leave our MacBook Pro charger at home and just rely on this for almost everything.
SuperPort 4 is also available to grab for $69. Don’t forget the 100W cable if you plan to charge your SuperTank at full speed though.
Insta360 OneX
If you are looking for more stylized photos and videos, we recommend the Insta360 One X.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This 360-degree camera shoots both photos and video and has a huge array of different effects. Create Matrix-inspired Bullet Time videos that appear as though time has frozen. Or sped up videos that slow down and rotate the camera’s perspective after the fact.
The intelligent software also is able to remove the selfie stick so it appears you are just standing there in front of the camera with nothing in your hand. This is a super fun device that we even took SCUBA diving with the added housing. Stay tuned for a more in-depth review soon.
It is available to purchase from Amazon for $399.
LaCie Copilot
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Whenever you are traveling and taking pictures, you need a backup. The LaCie Copilot was co-developed in partnership with DJI. It allows you to easily clone and backup any SD card or USB enclosure to the internal drive. We always worry about losing our camera or our footage so being able to back it up with the Copilot is really reassuring.
It is ultra-rugged with the silicone enclosure so it is fitting for any adventure you take it on.
Grab a 2TB version on Amazon for $349.
Moment Lenses and Nomad case
If you don’t want to take a whole camera with you but still want to elevate your images, try pairing your phone with a lens. We travel using the Nomad Rugged Case on our iPhone XS Max and use several different Moment lenses in conjunction. They have a wide angle lens, a fisheye lens, a 2X tele lens, an anamorphic lens, and a macro lens.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nomad Rugged Case with a Moment lens
Each lens can be mounted to either the wide-angle or tele lens of the iPhone which can produce some great images. For example, if you put the tele lens on your wide angle lens you get 2X zoom with a wider aperture which results in less grainy pictures.
The Superfish fisheye lens is also quite stylized and is great in tight spaces or expansive landscapes and nothing captures pictures quite like the ultra-wide anamorphic lens.
The Rugged Case from Nomad is available for $49.95 and Moment has a variety of lenses available from its site.
Tile Pro
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tile Pro
Tile launched new trackers in the fall of 2018 including the new Tile Pro. Tile Pro is a great accessory to take on vacations to make sure you always have your gear with you. If you accidentally leave a bag behind, or your camera somewhere, Tile can help you find them.
The updated Tile Pro will work from over 300 feet away and is louder than ever. The battery is also replaceable so that you don’t have to worry about it dying on you.
Pick them up from Amazon.
HomeKit accessories
Smart home accessories aren’t always what you think of when you think vacation but they really do add a certain peace of mind. Leaving your home unattended can be worrysome if someone would break in or another emergency occurs and you aren’t aware.
There are three accessories for our home that best relieve that uncertainty.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
August Smart Lock
First, the August third generation smart door lock. This HomeKit enabled lock not only gives you all the conveniences of a smart lock such as auto unlock as you approach, but you can be notified any time the lock is used.
If someone opens the front door, you will see that lock open regardless if its an intruder that picked the lock, a neighbor watering your plants, or a maintenance person coming to do a repair. Regardless, it is always nice to know when your door is locked or unlocked —and that you can unlock it if someone needs to get in. It is available on Amazon for less than $200.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We dig the HomeKit-enabled Circle 2 from Logitech. It comes in at around $170 and is a great value for the features. It is water resistant so you can place it outside your home or you can place it inside and always know what is going on.
The last home-monitoring accessory we have is a HomeKit smoke detector such as that from First Alert. The OneLink Smart Smoke Detector will alert you wherever you are if smoke or CO should be dected in your home. That that point you can jump on your security camera to see what’s happening or unlock the door for a neighbor or friend to get inside —assuming whatever is happening is minor enough you don’t need to immediately call emergency services.
Peak Design Travel Bag 45L
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If there is one accessory we’d be hardpressed to go without it is the Peak Design travel bag. There are several bags they put out such as the Everyday Backpack or Everyday Messenger but for a vacation we pack up our 45L Travel Bag.
This giant backpack has several optional packing cubes that you can store your camera, clothes, shoes, tech accessories, and toiletries in which fit right into the bag. There are countless handles and hooks to clip on additional gear, straps that can be tucked away and hidden, expanding pockets for water bottles or small tripods, and much more.
it is a brilliantly designed bag that can fit everything we need and still fit under an airplane seat.
Grab it, or any of the packing cubes, on Amazon.

We recently took a week-long trip up to Oregon to visit family scattered about the state that I grew up in, and I decided to pack only ONE camera and the various accessories to see if I could manage to satisfy the call for adventure through action cam imagery. Here’s my experience… and the results.
Mt Hood, OR captured with the HERO6 Black on a Karma Drone
The Gear
Camera: GoPro HERO6 Black
Accessories: Karma Drone & Grip Kit w/Extra LiPo Battery Shorty (Mini Extension w Tripod) Spare H6 Batts & Charger GoPro Portable Power Pack Suction Cup Mount Spare Mounts, extensions, cables, etc.
MacBook Pro w/1TB External HD
All the gear packed for the trip…
Setting out for the trip with just my Karma Drone backpack and my other backpack with the GoPro HERO6, Black, accessories, MacBook Pro, etc., I was intentionally NOT going to worry about making this trip about capturing every little detail of our journey, but to let it happen organically after we landed in Portland.
The Journey
Of course, the first few days were raining and I had little opportunity to really do much, so we spent time with family, mostly. Time well-spent. And a few GoPro handheld shots off the balcony of our hotel showed the fall colors of the city on the waterfront quite nicely.
Portland, OR – Pano from GoPro HERO6 Black handheld video frames
I did manage to get a few shots of the amazing fall foliage and the Willamette River that runs through the middle of the city from our balcony view in between showers. My only regret was not getting a good time-lapse of the drawbridge but there was very little ship traffic over the weekend.
The weather cleared up and we headed over the mountain pass by Mt Hood and on our way to Bend. I decided to pull off a few times both going out and coming back to slap the GoPro Suction Cup mount on the windshield to capture some video through the tree-lined mountain passes (you’ll see some time-ramped passes in the video down below).
GoPro HERO6 Black on Suction Cup mount through the mountain pass
I’ve used these Suction Cup mounts a lot over the years and have never had any issue with them vibrating or coming loose even at high speeds/long distances, so I’m always confident I can trust them even while traveling.
And let me tell you how amazing the built-in stabilization is on the HERO6 Black! The results are so smooth it’s as if it was on a gimbal. The improvement is overwhelming for those of you on the fence about upgrading from your HERO5 Black as noted in this comparison video I posted https://youtu.be/IOiEW7Hrd-8 from my hands-on review. Even the vibrations from the car are nearly completely eliminated.
Karma Drone in flight with the HERO6 Black
Karma Drone
I only had two batteries with me this trip so for my day experiences, I had to judiciously plan out what two 20-minute flights I wanted to capture imagery along the way. Since the weather was absolutely amazing for late October in Oregon, I really wanted to try to capture some of Mt Hood covered with a fresh blanket of snow, since the previous year when we came up here, it was almost completely bare!
We stopped along the way near the base of the mountain along the highway where a small ski run was closed for repairs before the new season and launched from there. You’ll see in the video we got a couple decent shots from that launch, as well as a lovely 300º+ pano!
Flying the Karma Drone off the highway near the closed ski runs at the base of Mt Hood.
This pano was stitched together from still frames of the video capture using Kolor’s AutoPana Giga (APG) and then finished off in Adobe Photoshop. I will be printing this out with my other collection of aerial panos…
Karma Drone & HERO6 aerial panorama stitched from video frames.
Further along the journey is one of my favorite canyons in the stretch of Hwy 26 through Warm Springs. The landscape goes from flat high-desert and drops down into a carved canyon. The video shows a few clips but it’s really hard to capture the majesty of this route even with a road-cam attached. Check out the video below to see the aerial shots I took rising out of this canyon.
Once we got to our resort destination in Bend (it was late evening and dark out so we could only hear the roar of the Deschutes River below our condo) we got up to an amazing panorama the next day!
I promptly sent the Karma up and out over the river canyon below* and was able to capture this amazing panorama from just below the top tree line where I could legally fly.
Horizon line at tree level above the Deschutes River in Bend, OR
*Note that I checked all the charts and was allowed to fly in this location as long as I remained below 200ft AGL and below the top tree line of this canyon where I launched as there is a small landing strip within 5 miles of this location.
It was a bit windy in this canyon, so I didn’t fly too low or near trees in the video, and I was being respectful of the distance to not annoy any other visitors of the area that filled with resort condos, hiking trails and the like.
Okay – HERE is the video I keep mentioning. It has a montage of handheld shots with camera stabilization on, Karma Grip, Karma Drone and Suction Cup mounted auto time lapses. Enjoy!
Still Photography
As I said, the GoPro HERO6 Black was the ONLY production camera we brought on this trip (besides iPhone 6s, that is), so using either the Shorty handheld extension or the Karma Grip, we took images, panos and “selfies” with the HERO6!
Deschutes River Pano from 7 still images shot on the HERO6 Black
The HERO6 Black performed much better than I expected, despite such a wide-angle lens. I also would have like to have some ND filters with me or at least a Polarizer (look for my upcoming product review from PolarPro featuring these filters that I got after we returned from this trip). But for the most part, I let the camera run in full-auto whenever possible to replicate the average consumer user’s experience, and overall, I’ve been really impressed with results from the HERO6 Black.
Also, I’ve noticed a strange purple casting that appears in the white edges of highlights and cast on items of white clothing at times. After reading in some of the forums online, I’ve seen that a lot of people are noticing this as well.
Here’s a closeup at 100% in Photoshop ACR:
Purple edged highlights
But using Photoshop’s Adobe Camera Raw adjustments (or Lumetri Color in Adobe Premiere Pro for your videos), you can easily knock out the purple highlights from any of your images:
Using ACR to knock out the purple highlights
Of course my wife and I had to get a couple typical tourist shots along the hiking trail!
So while we were in Bend, we had a small family gathering with my parents and my brother & sister in-law at our resort condo and managed to get everyone to smile for the GoPro on the coffee table, taking sequenced shots from the Shorty extension handle tripod. In hind-sight, I should have raised the camera, but food, wine and laughter prevailed!
Say “cheese”!
Our final trip back to Portland we were blessed with more blue skies, white snow-capped mountains and contrasting fall colors looking up the windy Columbia River at a spectacular lookout a friend hipped us to that’s off the beaten path. I would have loved to launch the Karma Drone from here but it was too windy and now real launch/landing site I’d trust to take off from. So we settled for a single awesome photo!
Fall colors through the valley of the Columbia River Valley and Mt Hood in the background
What Worked – What Didn’t
For the most part, it was freeing to just have the GoPro HERO6 Black to keep in my pocket attached to the Shorty extension for whatever occasion we found ourselves. We took tons of family shots and goofy videos having fun that aren’t shown here but were a lot easier than relying on crappy iPhone videos. But mostly we captured some amazing scenics along the way. It did make make me wish, however, that I had a DSLR with a zoom lens at times, but I also have thousands of those shots filling up hard drives at home already and I simply didn’t have to futz with much bringing the HERO6 along. I found that I just used it more and didn’t feel like I had to dig out a big gear bag everywhere we went.
One tough lesson I had to learn the hard way was not having a fast enough *Micro SD card with me. I was using Lexar 633x and SanDisk Ultra which have worked just fine in the HERO5 Black previously, but I was getting Card Error messages often when shooting 2,7k/60 or 4k/30. That’s really tough when you’re mid-flight and you have to bring the bird back home and land it to reboot the camera. I did learn if you don’t try to shoot anything over your last card error shot, the HERO6 will repair the end file writing and save your last video upon reboot, so that’s a big plus!
Note: SanDisk Extreme or Pro Micro SD cards are necessary for shooting high frame rate or UHD on the HERO6 Black.
Sadly, the Karma was pretty restricted in where we could fly it. If you’re out in the middle of nowhere (no buildings, bridges, reinforced concrete, etc.) then it seemed to work okay.
Karma drone was often grounded
Otherwise we’d get compass errors and couldn’t take off (not that you’d ever want to take off with a compass error or in an unsafe location, so in this case, the failsafe does work!). It’s just that relying on the Karma for my only aerial shots, limited me to only a few locations that I would normally be able to fly a DJI Phantom or Mavic Pro with ease.
But what I could do with the Karma was remove the gimbal and attach it to the Karma Grip for smooth handheld shots with the HERO6, so not all was lost.
Overall, the HERO6 Black and Karma gave us flexibility and accessibility to make some fun and creative memories of our short trip!

Drone Travel Tips: 7 Tips for Better and Easier Travel with Your Drone
Chappie is not the prettiest drone around. He has spent some time traveling the world and he has the scratches and dents to prove it.
The advice below is what I've found to true while on the road for more than ten months. The tips aren't infallible; they don't apply to commercial drones, and please, if you've got great drone travel advice of your own, share it with us in the comments section!
1. Play it Low Key to Prevent Theft
Your drone is expensive and it just so happens, thieves love to steal valuable items.   There isn’t much you can do to stay low-key once you’ve launched a flying robot into the air, but for transportation beforehand, consider a subtle bag.  Mine was $60 on ebay.  I deliberately bought something without drone logos, DJI branding, etc.
The bag is boring personified- designed with such creative apathy, it's a wonder it was ever manufactured at all. It's the milksteak of drone bags. The best case scenario is that the average passerby might assume I stole a backpack from a homeless guy. No one wants to touch it, let alone steal it.
What it lacks in looks it makes up for in utility.  There is plenty of storage inside of the bag in foam cut outs.  The foam is also plentiful offering a wide area of protection around the drone itself so that it is well protected from bumps and bruises during transport.  While the bag looks like a 5-year old's drawing of a backpack, the bag overall is as sleek and low-key looking as possible while offering a reasonable amount of protection to your drone.
Update 4/28/2016:  This bag has now been to 20 countries and spent 10 months on the road. Two of those months were spent bouncing around on the back of a rebar luggage rack during our Vietnam motorcycle trip.  The bag has had to be sewn twice while we've been in south east Asia.  While this might sound like a huge problem, its nothing that $1.50 USD couldn't fix.
I recently found Bag for $45 on Amazon with free shipping.
2. Use Your Drone Bag as Your Carry-on Bag
If you just dropped $1,000 on a drone, you probably don't want to cheap out on the carrying case. You decided you are definitely buying a hard plastic case. Aside from being a higher profile carrying solution to the bag I mentioned above, let me raise an issue you may have not considered: Your drone will be your carry-on luggage for the duration of your trip.
If you keep the case size small you can simply take your drone onto the plane as your carry on. Your drone will be cozy and safe in the overhead compartment that way.
Despite what you may have heard, there are no current laws about taking a drone as carry-on luggage onto the plane.  Your drone is much less likely to get damaged from negligent handling or have something go lost on the its way to the baggage pick up area.
DJI Phantom 3 batteries should not travel as checked baggage either for safety reasons. As someone pointed out in the comments section, you may want to even go the extra mile and get a Lipo battery travel bag for flights. I don't use them and they aren't an airline requirement for traveling with your drone but the extra precaution can't hurt.
Now that you’re using your drone bag as carry on, let's make this even easier with the next tip…
3. Keep All Your Valuables in One Place While in Transit
This might be counter-intuitive, but since you already have essentially $1k sitting in your carry on bag, you might as well throw your portable hard drive, laptop, and anything else expensive in the bag as well.  The reason for this is two fold:
Nothing expensive should be in your checked bag anyway.  (Either your entire bag or some of the items in it WILL disappear during your trip).
You will be paying attention to where your drone bag is and that it's being treated delicately. Don’t your other expensive electronics deserve the same love?
I completely get that some people would argue to split up your valuables but the reality of travel is that you will only have enough room in some seats to keep eyes on one bag (or keep that one bag on your lap). Whether in a small van, a overnight bus, or in a taxi, my drone bag travels next to my person.
*I fly or take buses in this packing style.  When we arrive somewhere, I repack so that I only have drone equipment in the bag and leave everything else of value locked up at the hotel.
4. Fly Conservatively While Abroad
Maverick may have lived his life in the danger zone, but there is no denying that his flying resulted in a dead Goose and a widowed Meg Ryan.  Flying drones in foreign countries is not a good place for you to prove what a renegade you can be. Research and follow the drone laws of whatever country you are visiting-you don't want to end up in some bamboo cage for violating military airspace somewhere.
Confused about local laws?  When it doubt, there are a few common sense rules when flying your recreational use, non commercial drone:
Stay more than 2 km away from airports.
Stay within 300 M horizontally of yourself.
Keep line of sight on the drone.
Don’t fly near military areas.
Don’t fly in high winds.
Don’t fly over people or crowds.
Don’t fly over roads.
5. Protect the Gimbal at All Cost
Think of your drone as two pieces of a really pricey pie.  You have the flying robot part, and you have the mini 4k steadicam strapped to its tummy.   The gimbal is the magic glue that holds them both together and makes your footage smooth and buttery.
Since the gimbal is essential in making everything work,  you need to protect it!
Keep the plastic guard and foam block in place whenever transporting the drone.  You can buy aftermarket pieces for this, but the free parts that came in the box when you bought your drone work just as well (providing you didn’t throw them out already).  I'm still using the plastic camera stabilizer as well as the original foam piece that came in the retail box.
Don’t transport the drone with the battery installed.  If by some crazy stroke of bad luck the battery is activated, the gimbal is going to get burnt out as it tries to go through its start up calibration but is blocked by the guards holding it in place. As unlikely as this sounds, it can happen.
6. Double Check that Your Propellers are Tight
One of the most cited reasons for crashes according to DJI is that props sometimes spin off.  This makes no sense at all sense they're self tightening. However, it only takes an extra 5 seconds to slow down and make sure that the props are thoroughly tightened before you fly.
While this shouldn’t happen with self tightening propellers, it can be avoided. When you spin the blades on they will stop by themselves when they are close to tight- at that point, give them an extra 1/8 turn to make them hand tight. Be careful not to over-tighten the propellers- you don't want to strip the threads.
If you live your life without watching your $1,000 flying camera robot tumble from the sky after it spits off a propeller, your life is that much richer. Instead, watch mine:
7. Prepare for the Worst by Carrying a Small Repair Kit
The last thing you want when traveling with your drone is to suffer an accident and not be able to fly anymore.  Something as simple as knocking the drone off a table or catastrophic as a fall from the sky can happen easier than you think. Be like a boy scout and make sure you’re prepared by carrying a few small parts and tools with you.
After repairing my drone with a new shell after a crash, I now have sets of replacement screws, T6/T8 Torx (to take shell apart) , assorted small flathead and Phillips screwdrivers, 2mm hex driver (for motor mounts) and a few other random parts such as rubber gimbal mounts.  The Torx drivers I mentioned are appropriate for the Phantom 3.  If you have a different model of Phantom you may need different sized drivers.
Once every few weeks I also make sure that all of the ‘important’ screws on the drone are hand tight and not working themselves loose.  This included screw on the body and the motor mounts. I also inspect the props and motor arms for any damage or cracks.
If you haven’t already, you may want to review this DJI forum article as well as there are a lot of great points on how to avoid catastrophe in the first place.

When is it time to replace your smartphone battery?
As smartphone users, we are all familiar with the dreaded battery low notification. For some of us, it seems like our battery dies faster than ever these days. So when is it actually time to replace your smartphone battery?
There are a few key indicators that it may be time for a new battery. If your phone isn’t holding a charge as long as it used to, if it’s taking longer to charge than usual, or if it feels hotter than normal when in use, these could all be signs that your battery needs to be replaced.
If you’re not sure whether or not your battery needs to be replaced, you can always take it to a professional for an inspection. They will be able to tell you for sure whether or not you need a new battery and can help you find the right one for your phone.
Replacing your battery may seem like a hassle, but it’s definitely worth it in the long run. After all, we rely on our smartphones for just about everything these days. So if your battery isn’t up to par, it’s time to make the switch!
If you are using an Apple iPhone you have the ability to check the battery health in the settings of the phone. For Android phones, there are a variety of battery health checker apps available on the Google Play Store. These can give you a good idea of the condition of your battery and whether it needs to be replaced.
No matter what kind of smartphone you have, it’s important to keep an eye on your battery life. By doing so, you can ensure that your phone is always in tip-top shape and ready to go when you need it.
