For A request can I request the Makoto Kenzaki with A older precure reader
So for the context the reader was A precure/knight from the trump kingdom with Makoto who was A bit older (highschool/college age) and during the attack of the kingdom the reader found their own way out but it led to them being lost from everyone else so they traveled a lot untill one day during A fight when Makoto was about to be defeated reader comes in to save her and they have their reunion.
(On A side note the kingdom of “trump kingdom” sounds bad considering irl context lmao$
A/N ~ Sure! Hope you enjoy!

As you cleaned your house, you let the TV play in the background. You weren’t paying too much attention to it. You just needed the extra noise. But the second a girl’s beautiful singing voice hit your ears, you stopped in your tracks. You knew that voice.
The broom clattered to the ground, having been dropped by you as you dashed to the TV. You thought there was no possible way it was who you thought it was. But when you saw the familiar purple haired girl singing on the screen, your doubts vanished.
You thought you’d lost Makoto forever. That you’d never see her again. But there she was. And all this time, she’d been a famous idol. How had you not found out sooner?
“(name), what’s wrong? I heard a crash.” Your fairy, (fairy’s name), asked. They had the same reaction you did once they also saw who was on TV. “No way! Makoto?!”
You didn’t respond. You were simply too shocked. Additionally, Makoto’s voice was so beautiful, it stole all of your attention. You really thought you’d never hear it again.
~~~~
You and (fairy’s name), now in their human form, exited the train. You had reached the city that Makoto lived in. Even though it’s such a large place, you figured that it wouldn’t hurt to look.
Originally, you had only planned to send her an email explaining things. But you figured that she gets thousands of emails a day, so she probably wouldn’t notice it. So you switched to looking for her in person instead.
Hours went by, and even with two of you looking, you were having no luck. Every stage, recording studio, photo studio, everywhere was checked. But to no avail.
You and (fairy’s name) sat on a bench, defeated. “I can’t take on this form any longer. I’m so tired.” They sighed, slumping.
After looking around to make sure that no one was there, you held out your hands. “The coast is clear. So it’s okay.”
With a poof, (fairy’s name) reverted to their much smaller, original form, right into your hands. They lied down, letting out an even bigger sigh than before.
“Thanks for helping, even though we didn’t get anywhere.” You said, stroking their head with a single finger. They just smiled, too tired to speak.
After a few moments, their eyes shot open in panic. “I hear a dark heartbeat!”
You quickly stood up, still holding them. “Sorry (fairy’s name). Looks like we still have work to do!”
Without complaining, (fairy’s name) transformed into a Lovely Commune.
“Pretty Cure, Love Link!”
~~~~
When reaching the scene of the Jikochuu’s havoc reeking, you noticed a figure zipping around. It was still too far away to tell, so you jumped closer.
A loud bang was heard, and something was thrusted away from the Jikochuu with great force. It crashed to the ground very harshly, creating a cloud of dust, which further prevented you from seeing what it was.
Just in case it was someone in need of saving, you sprinted over. “Hey!” You called, preventing yourself from asking if they were okay, because you knew they most definitely were not.
The cloud cleared, and what lied on the ground made you gasp.
“Makoto! Dabyi!”
Both were very scratched up. Makoto was so hurt that she had de-transformed. You could tell that she was just barely conscious. You picked her up, putting one arm under her knees, and the other under her neck. Realizing you almost forgot Dabyi, you knelt down, letting go of Makoto’s neck for just a moment, and carefully placed Dabyi on her chest.
“Hang in there guys!” You tried talking to them to keep them awake.
A groan came from Makoto, and her eyes squinted open just a bit. “….(name)?”
“Oh, good.” You sighed. You placed her on a bench a fair distance away from the battle. “Stay there. I’ll finish the job.”
A sinister laugh could be heard once you entered the scene once again. “Nice job, Jikochuu! I think you finally defeated one of the Pretty Cu- wait, where did she go?!” Marmo yelled in confusion.
“Hey!” You called out to her.
Marmo quickly turned to you. “Another one?! You’ve gotta be kidding me!” She whined. “Get them, Jikochuu!”
Getting into a fighting stance, the battle finally commenced.
~~~~
“Makoto!” A voice called out.
Makoto groaned, her eyes opening just a bit. Once they were able to focus, she saw Dabyi just inches away her face.
“Good, you’re awake. Do you remember what happened?” She asked.
“Ugh..” Makoto rubbed her head, both from her massive headache, and from her trying to remember. “No.”
Suddenly, a massive flash of light erupted from a distance away. That was all it took for everything to come flooding back.
“Wait! I could’ve sworn…” She thought harder.
“What?” Dabyi questioned.
“I remember us fighting a Jikochuu, but it wasn’t going well. I thought we’d be defeated, but we were saved.” She looked back towards the direction of the flash. It was calm now. “I think I remember seeing (name).”
“(name)? But we haven’t seen them since Trump Kingdom was invaded.”
“I know. But I swear I saw them. And who would’ve caused that light just now?” She said.
“Your teammates?” Dabyi tried debunking her theory.
“I don’t think it was…”
“Makoto!” A voice called from a distance away. Both she and Dabyi looked in its direction, and were bewildered to see you running towards them.
“Oh my… you were right.” Dabyi gasped.
Makoto remained frozen and silent. She knew it was you who she saw before fully blacking out. But actually reuniting with you was something she wasn’t prepared for.
When you reached her, your smile changed to a look of concern. “Makoto?”
Her eyes welled with tears. “(name)…”
Feeling sad for her, you pulled her into a hug. She began sobbing, and you rubbed her back to comfort her. When you reunite with one of the only remaining people from your kingdom, anyone would be emotional. So you just allowed her to let it all out.
Meanwhile, Dabyi and (fairy’s name) were having their own little reunion. They zipped through the air, expressing how happy they were to see each other.
Once she had stopped crying, Makoto pulled away from the hug. “How did you find me?” She asked.
“I heard you singing on TV. I had no idea you were a famous idol! So I found the city you lived in, and (fairy’s name) and I have been searching all day.” You explained.
Makoto’s eyes widened in surprise. “You heard my music?”
“Yeah! I recognized your voice immediately.” You chuckled.
Makoto smiled gently. “My songs reached you…”
You gave a puzzled look, confused by what she meant.
“The whole reason I became an idol was so my songs could hopefully reach Princess Mary Ange. But they also reached you. I’m so glad…” She began to tear up again.
“Makoto,” You smiled, placing a hand on her shoulder. “your songs reach everybody. So I know they’ll be able to reach the Princess one day.”
The two of you shared a hug again. Then, Dabyi and (fairy’s name) flew up to you, and transformed into their human forms.
“So, besides the whole idol thing, what’ve you guys been up to?” (fairy’s name) asked.
Makoto and Dabyi shared a knowing look.
“A lot.” Makoto said. “So much has happened lately. And I’ve met so many nice people.”
“Speaking of which,” Dabyi cut in. “don’t we have people to introduce them to, Makoto?”
“Oh, yes.” She said. “You need to meet the others.”
“Others?” You and (fairy’s name) asked in unison.
They both nodded. They couldn’t wait to introduce you to their friends. Especially Makoto. You needed to see the people who changed her, and made her feel less lonely while away from Trump Kingdom.
She was so happy to finally reunite with someone from her home. So now, she needed to have you meet people from her current home.
The majority of your life is a just huge chunk of blank space and memory. You don’t remember a thing from before about a year ago. All you know is what you’ve experienced since gaining consciousness. You’ve only had one job since then; protect the Princess. So you followed the task King Jikochuu had given you.
Though you try your best to act professional, Regina seems to treat you more like a friend than a protector. No matter how many times you remind her of your actual job, she still sees you following her around as ‘hanging out’. But you guess it’s fine, just as long as she’s happy.
As your duty states, you must take care of Regina, and keep her safe. But what should you do when you start to consider that the one who gave you the order could be the danger?
~~~~
You made a promise to yourself that no matter what path Regina chose, you’d stick by her side no matter what. So when she started to become closer to the Pretty Cure, you prepared yourself to follow her to the good side. It was a change you were fine with making, just as long as the princess was happy. Additionally, the Pretty Cure were very nice girls who truly brought out the best in her.
When she ultimately decided to talk to her father about turning good, you encouraged her; cheering her on.
Nothing could’ve prepared you for the outcome.
She was different. So horribly different. The sweet, silly child you once knew was gone. In its place was a cruel, sinister girl. You hated what her father did to her, but you couldn’t do anything besides stand and watch.
Regina treated you differently as well. Instead of just a friend, you were her partner in crime. She expected you to join in on her horrid shenanigans. And she also expected you to enjoy them. You were all for a little mischief, but this new version of Regina was hard for you to watch.
But even with the terrible change, there was still a faint light in her heart. You could tell. From the way she interacted with the girls, you knew she felt it, deep down. A quiet, almost silent wish for a friendship with them. A wish to join them.
The only thing that stood in the way of her achieving her dream was her father. Each time she nearly had the ability and courage to switch to the good side in her grasp, King Jikochuu dragged her back down into the pit of selfishness. And frankly, you hated it. It was your duty to keep Regina safe and happy; a duty given to you by your boss. But it was your boss himself that was the barricade between his own daughter and her true happiness.
But you couldn’t do anything. You could only give your support. Or… was that still something?
~~~~
Regina laid on her stomach, on her cushy sofa. Her feet kicked in the air out of frustration, and her head rested on her arms, which were crossed in front of her. She wore a dramatic pout on her face, which was half concealed by her arms. But you could clearly see her furrowed brows.
“What’s the matter, Regina?” You inquired. But you knew the answer. She had just gotten back from spending time with the Pretty Cure. It seemed that her genuine enjoyment caused her confusion and frustration.
“Nothin’.” She huffed out, her voice muffled from her mouth being covered by her arms.
You hummed, and let her be. But you couldn’t help but smirk, as you knew what was coming. Every time she used that response, she would tell you exactly what was wrong just a moment later.
You counted down the seconds in your head. Three… two… one.
“I just don’t get Mana! Why is she so nice to me?” And there it was, right on time, as always.
“Because she sees you as her friend.” You answered her question, hiding the satisfaction you felt from your accurate prediction.
“But why?” She whined, sitting up and crossing her legs. “I’m King Jikochuu’s daughter! She should hate me, just like Rikka and Makoto!” She pouted once again, crossing her arms to match with her legs.
“That’s just how Mana is, I guess.” You chuckled. “She sees the good in people.”
“But I don’t have any good in me!” Regina declared, as if it was common knowledge.
“That’s not true.” You replied. “You have a lot of good things about you.”
Her head snapped in your direction. She looked at you as if you were mad. “What?”
“Well,” You began to specify. “You may be naughty, but you really do care about others. You’re exciting and fun to be around. And you’re affectionate to those you love.”
Regina’s lips curled into a smile, and she burst out laughing. “Ha! I think spending all that time with the Pretty Cure might be going to your head, (name)! I mean, I am fun. But I don’t care about anyone!”
“So you don’t care about me? Or your father?”
She went silent. “W-well, that’s different! Daddy’s my, well, Dad!” She stuttered. “And you’re my best friend!”
“And what about Mana? You don’t care about her?” You pried further.
It looked like you had just offended her. “No! I-“ She began defending herself, but she went silent once again. You watched her eyes. You could almost see all the thoughts rushing in her mind through them. It reminded you of a saying you’ve heard somewhere: ‘Eyes are the windows to the soul’. You thought that was ridiculous before, but now, you thought of it as genius.
“Regina”. You interrupted her thinking. “I want you to know this.” Stepping over to her, you took a seat next to her on the sofa. “It’s my job to look after you, and to keep you safe and happy.” You placed a comforting hand on her head, just on top of her big red bow. “So no matter what you choose to be, I’ll be right here with you.”
Regina choked up a bit. “B-but what about Dad?” She looked genuinely scared, as if that one decision could lead to terrible things if she chose wrong. And you weren’t sure if that belief was entirely false. Seeing what her father had done to her in the past, you knew there was an array of other options on the table. He simply brainwashed her last time. He could do it again. Or maybe something way worse. Something that gave no chance of the old Regina ever coming back. But for her, you’d do anything to make her wish come true. Even fight her father.
“I can’t say what’ll happen. But I can say that I’ll be by your side the whole time. No matter what happens, I’ll be there. I’ll protect you the very best I can. Even if it means going against the King.”
Tears welled up in Regina’s eyes. She head butted your chest, and just cried softly. You placed a hand on her back, rubbing it slowly to comfort her.
You knew the journey ahead was not going to be easy. But what kind of knight’s job was? If it’s all for the sake of protecting Regina, then you’d face it head on. Even if the danger’s head was fifty times bigger than your own body.
