And in today's video, you escape from where you're being held captive and now you must try to get through the forest. Just remember: Don't Hide (Get it? Because that's the title? Ayyy *hides from being booed*)

This wasn't an ask or anything but I had saw the original video on tiktok and then saw people people writing fanfics or prompts to it. The video in question being where the man is under anesthesia and his wife his touching his chest in a comforting manner and the guy says "My wife will get mad if she see's you touching my chest like that." I thought it was cute and got hit with inspiration. Excited to write for the new Mine cast as well :3 For this we're just gonna say they broke their leg somehow and needed surgery.

Scenario- You anxiously waited outside of your lover's hospital room, hoping that the surgery would go well. Even if it was just surgery for a broken leg you couldn't stop your mind from thinking of what-if's. What if my partner is never able to walk again? What if I can't afford the hospital bill and we get put into debt? What if-! "The surgery went well, you can head inside the room and see them now." The doctor had said to you gently before continuing her work and tending to other patients. You had anxiously walked into the room and moved a chair next to your passed out lover, blissfully unaware of how badly they managed to worry you. You had grabbed their hand that was resting on their chest, feeling how it rose and fell, forgetting your silly what-if's for the time being, waiting for them to wake up.

Minato: Minato had slowly opened his eyes, his head feeling foggy from the anesthesia. You smiled as soon as you saw his eyes open, happily calling his name and grabbing his attention. "I'm so glad you're okay." You had played with his second ring, the one on his ring finger, the one that meant you belonged to each other. Minato on the other hand did not react how you thought he would, instead he pouted at you when he saw you playing with his ring and holding his hand. "Only my significant other can hold my hand and play with my ring, let go please." He slurred as he gently pulled his hand out of yours. You were surprised at first but then started chuckling. "I am your significant other, Minato~" You smirked at him with amusement and watched as a blushed started to form on his face as he took in your appearance. He smiled and placed his hand back in yours, the heartbeat on the monitor increasing. "Yeah...you are my significant other"

Haruto: When Haruto opened his eyes he instantly noticed you, and noticed your hand holding his. He looked at you offended and almost disgusted. "Don't touch me. Only the most amazing person in the world, my significant other, who you're not, can touch me." You had started to laugh uncontrollably as he glared at you, you took out your phone and started recording the ordeal, something you two talked about doing whenever either one of you was under the influence of anesthesia. "Why are you recording me?" Then he gasped "I know! You're going to make it seem like I'm cheating! You're gonna sabotage my relationship with my lover! You're evil..." His eyes had started watering as his words got more slurred. "What! No, Haruto I AM your lover!" He continued to glare as he started to take in your appearance more, his glare softening as his heartbeat started to pick up. He reached out to grab your arm and pull you closer, burying his face in your wrist, trying to hide his flushed face. "Mmmmine...I love you, y/n~"

Jun: When Jun woke up she had sat up and then noticed you. Your smile had reminded her of her significant other, her cutie, but you weren't her cutie...and that made her sad. She had pulled her hand away from yours without ever noticing that you were holding it in the first place. "Where's my cutie..." Jun frowned and pouted at you, why were you here and not his beloved?? "Who are you? What did you do to my significant other?" Jun asked in an accusatory way and you fought back your laughter. "Jun, honey, I am your significant other." You explained holding up your hand to show your matching ring. Jun's eyes widened and a smile quickly replaced her frown, a blush forming on her face in no time. "Cutie~ You DID come to see me!" She plopped her head down on your chest and nuzzled into it before pulling away with a horrified expression. "Do I look appealing enough for you? Where's my makeup? I need to hide my imperfections, I need to be perfect for you!" She had gone into full-blown panic. You kissed her moles and smiled at her. "Jun, you're already perfect for me." Her smile and blush were back on her face instantly, the one thing that didn't change was her rapidly beating heart rate.

Hoshi: Hoshi groaned when he opened his eyes, trying to take in his surroundings as much as his foggy brain would allow him to. His brows furrowed as soon as he saw you, swatting your hand away as quickly as his muddled body could process. "Don't touch me, I don't belong to you, freak." You sighed, somewhat used to this gruff, awful personality Hoshi. Still hurts when you worried so much about him just for him to reject you. "I'll punch your face in if you think you can replace my lover, you have NOTHING on them. I belong to them and them only." Despite the threats you began to understand that the anesthesia made him not recognize you and he was actually being quite cute. You leaned closer to him, going in for a kiss, "I am your significant other, Hoshi~" You cooed before placing your lips on his, noticing his brain finally picking up on what was happening. His face flushed and he ended up choking into the kiss, his heart beat monitor showing the rapid thumping of his heart, though you were so close that you were able to actually hear it. You could've sworn his face was releasing steam, he hid his face in the crook of your neck and held you tight. "I...love you..."

Habiki: Habiki sat up slowly when he woke up, barely sparring you a glance as he removed his hand from your grasp, you could see a disgusted scowl on his face however. He went to remove his leg from being propped up. "H-Habiki! Put your leg back there, you need to let it heal!" You went to go put his leg back but he swatted your hand away. "Stop touching me. Only my lover gets to touch me." He pushes you to the side and out of his way with as much strength as he can manage right now, which isn't a lot. He places his feet on the ground and go to stand up, almost falling, but you help support him, earning another glare. "I need to get home to my lover, they're probably worried. I need to do this on my own, they won't like seeing you touch me. I also don't like you touching me." He tried pushing you hand off of him for what he hoped would be the final time. "Damn right I was worried! Now listen to me, your lover, and sit back down and prop your leg up again Kikuchi Habiki!" You gently pushed him back on the bed. "Seriously! You think I didn't know already, you think I wouldn't come to you. No offense, you don't have any friends, you aren't exactly the most likable person. Now sit back and heal and stop worrying your lover who you claim to love so much." You glare at him before pausing, seeing his face flush and the heart beat monitor showing his fast heartbeat. He gives you a soft smile before hugging you tightly.

Kage: Kage notices you instantly and starts panicking. "W-who-! Uhm.... gosh where is my lover when I need them!" It's then he notices you holding his hand. He instantly starts pulling his hand away and starts freaking out, flailing his arms, and kicking his feet. "Kage! Calm down don't move your leg, it's broken!" You exclaim trying to stop him from moving his leg anymore. "Oh gosh, I broke it!? I can't even run away from you and back to my lover?! This is the worst day ever!" His eyes start watering and the tears fall just as quickly. "I am your lover???" You exclaim confused by his sudden outburst. Still, he freezes instantly as he processes this new information. "Oh..." His tears stop, but his face is still flushed and his heart beat is still rapid, though you're aware it's for something different now. You sigh in relief as a smile graces your lips. "You done freaking out, baby~" You coo. He covers his face with his hands and falls into your chest, he wraps his arms around you in no time, wanting to be held.

Kei: When Kei wakes up he instantly notices you, and your hand holding his, and he wastes no time in pulling his hand away from yours. He stares at you intensely, in an observatory manner, gazing over all of your features. He just stares, his brain not picking up on your appearance easily. His gaze lowers down to your hands and notices a familiar ring. "Are you...real?" he looks at you confused, he feels like he should recognize you, but he doesn't, and that makes him feel stupid. He remains emotionless when you start laughing, he doesn't want to laugh with anyone who isn't his lover, even though his heart feels like he should be laughing. "K-Kei, sweetie, I am your lover. I even have the same ring." You hold up your hand and show him your ring, still he doesn't seem convinced entirely. "Did you steal my significant other's ring? ...And appearance?" This causes you to burst out laughing again. "This is a serious matter, I need to know if you're actually my lover. If not, I'll have to chop off the hand you were holding, my body is reserved only for my love." You stop laughing instantly and look up at him with panic and concern. "Gosh, Kei...what?? You don't need to chop off any limbs just because someone other then me touches you." You smile nervously, and for the first time he relaxes as he falls into your arms. You can feel his face heating up through your shirt, it seems he's embarrassed about his previous actions. "I-...In that case, please touch me to purify me." Oh...his heart is racing.

Yani: Anesthesia doesn't really have an effect on Yani, but he knows it should, so when it wakes up, it makes sure to pretend that he's under the influence of the drug. What a better time to prove how loyal they are. They could use some humor to distract from the broken leg anyways. Yani slowly opens her eyes and looks around, her heart fluttering upon seeing your smile now that she's awake. She almost starts panicking thinking the heart rate monitor would give away her little prank, but oh you're so focused on Yani you don't even notice the monitor, your eyes are glued onto Yani, giving her all of your attention. Yani wants to continue this prank, but she can't bring herself to swat off her beloveds hand. No, she doesn't even want to tell you to leave her alone, she wants you, always. She wants your gaze to stay on her, she wants your hands to stay on her, she wants all of your time. Instead Yani feeds into her wants and starts crying. "I-it hurts..." It really doesn't, not that much, not as much as the thought of losing you hurts. He blushes when you cradle his face, the teas still flowing, not bothering to turn them off. He smirks when you hold him in your arms and he buries his face in the crook of your neck. This is what he truly wanted. If it needs to show you it's loyalty, it will simply bring you the heads of every disgusting human.

Aki: You smile instantly when Aki opens her eyes, wrapping your arms around her. "U-uhm! My lover! You need to get off of me now, only my lover and my younger sister get my hugs." She tries pushing you off with the little strength she has left. "Get off, I don't want my lover to walk in and think I'm cheating on them." She starts panicking, worrying about the worst. Maybe you'd understand and take the time to listen to her, but also she doesn't know who this person is and wants them off of her as well. When you pull away and give her a worried look, thinking she lost her memories somehow, then she recognizes you. "Oh! My beloved~! It was you. I'm sorry, I couldn't tell who you were, I couldn't see your face in the hug." She starts laughing softly as she brings her hand up to cradle your face, smiling when she see's you relax. "Thank goodness, I started to get worried that maybe you had hit your head hard on the fall and forgot about me!" You exclaimed, giving a relieved smile and leaning into her warm touch. "I could never forget you, not because of some anesthesia, not even memory loss would make me forget you. We're soulmates, if we're ever reborn I'll still find you and remember our previous lives." She leans up and presses a kiss to your lips. "Sorry for worrying you, over my leg, and my 'memory loss.'" She chuckles and pulls you down into the hospital bed, holding you close to her as you two cuddle. You didn't need to see the heart monitor to tell her heart was racing, you could feel and hear it, just like how you can whenever you two cuddle.

The origins of the game

If you are new here, or relatively new, you might not know how The Chosen One came to be.

It was 2020 and, as many other, to escape reality I started playing VNs and then IFs. Within some months, a game of my own started to take shape in my mind and then I started writing. At the time, I had absolutely zero knowledge about Twine so learning it was a slow and painful process - but worth it.

In spring 2021 I created the Tumblr blog dedicated to it, what is now my personal blog @kal-down and what was then @/the-upperworld.

The first version of TCO was full of bugs, had a colour palette that was all over the place, and, most importantly, was only written in italian. At the time, I couldn't fantom writing a full story in english, I only did small prompts about MC and Rascia on the blog or translated previews.

Then, mainly thanks to the IF authors I came to befriend on here, I decided to translate the whole demo and publish the inglish version, which became public in September 2021.

During that year's summer, I also started planning and designing what would become my most popular and loved game: The King's Hound. As I made more and more progress on it, with so much difficulty and writing fully in english for the first time in my life, TCO started to feel off.

I guess lack of popularity and interaction, perhaps due to a story featuring a single RO or perhaps due to the unpolished nature of the writing. Still, I deleted almost everything from the blog and made it my personal one, hiding the game from Itchio.

In 2022 I decided to polish the UI a bit, thanks to it you have a now playable and hopefully more aesthetically pleasing game. I also added the Interlude 1 to the game (introducing Rascia for the first time).

And now, here we are. There isn't new content available to play, progress is still very slow, but I think this game deserves a proper blog. It deserves a place to be discussed, especially since I have a published demo and even if it won't ever be popular, I hope the game resonates at least with someone. For this reason, I decided I will leave the game up and visible on Itch from now on, and that I will keep working on it even if I remain the only one interested in the project.

It was my very first IF and I don't want to be ashamed of it. Or hide it. Despite its flaws and hiccups in developement, I am proud of it.

I just want to say, I love The Wedding so far. I’m a huge fan of enemies to lovers so the bully route with Micah already sounds so promising but I have a couple of questions I hope you don’t mind answering:

Has Micah always been into MC but didn’t know how to express themselves so they chose to bully them as a result or do their feelings get deeper as the story progresses? I love the kind of tension that brings to a possible romance route with a difficult background like that with a character.

Certain people express their love in many different forms; how does Micah express care or affection for someone she deeply cares for? Do they have any preferences as to how MC displays their care for them?

Final question: do you plan on doing RO POVs with The Wedding just like you did with WLGYL and The Midnight Saga(I absolutely love their perspectives and what I love about both of your projects by the way) Anyway, have a great day and great job with all your work!

As you know, I don't really do toxic, so you are totally correct about Micah. I envisioned the bully route with Micah as the type that the one who can't really express their love and just decide to be a dick about thinking that's the way to go. And I think they love MC for who MC is, someone that never really bent to their whim, someone who is not afraid to call them out.

I'm planning to do some character development to show how everything plays out, but one main thing about this story is all the characters are flawed.

You have Danny who has anger issues and the scars they hide under their tattoos. Micah is spoiled, but deeper in the story MC will get to see another side of them. And Hayden who is a complete manipulator, and then Tar, and now Cass. I really hope I can manage to write them as in this game the characters are supposed to be complex and not lovey-dovey as the ones in Lemons.

As for the POVs. I don't know if I can get away with that in a VN. but I do plan on doing some more scenes like the one I made for Hayden. So will see. But if you're referring to like side stories in Choicescript for The Wedding, the answer is no as I'm trying to keep it away from CS as possible.

I can't wait to share the new Renpy updates.

BLVN Review: Psychic Eclipse (C-Garden NEXT-B)

I finally decided to play this VN after seeing a lot of information about it in Cool-B magazine! It was released in 2021, by a BL visual novel company called C-Garden NEXT-B. It's their first visual novel, but the scenario writer and artist have both worked on some BLVN related projects in the past. I played the PC version, but it also has a Nintendo Switch port now.

The game takes place in the near future, in a world in which humans developed psychic abilities. It was believed that these new psychic abilities would lead humanity to a brighter future, however, one incident changed everything. "On that fateful day, the sky was stolen from us".

The protagonist of this story is Kei, a young man who lives together with his childhood friend Subaru. In this game, a person's psychic ability is ranked on a scale from 1 to 6, and Kei has a level 2 ability which is considered quite weak. His ability allows him to sometimes predict an event in the near future, but since he never knows if his visions will really come true, it sometimes causes more bad than good. After a certain incident, all humans started living in domes, controlled by an AI called Polaris. Six years ago, people suddenly started transforming into creatures called "eclipses", who are known for their aggressive nature. Once a person turns into an eclipse, it seems like they completely lose their humanity and it is unknown how the disease is transferred. Some theorize that it is contageous.

This game has three main routes and a fourth extra route, I recommend playing Subaru's route first because I think it doesn't go too deep into some of the plot elements yet. I played Licht's route first which kind of spoiled the other two routes, so I think it's better to pick Subaru or Sirius first. After playing all three of them, you unlock a fourth route, which focuses on some of the side characters (unfortunately no Mikage route but they pair him up with a side character who appears later).

Subaru is Kei's childhood friend, both of them lost their parents when they were younger and they currently live together because they don't really know anyone else. Subaru has this ability to control blue flames, though he rarely uses it because those living within the domes are told to not use their psychic abilities. He seems to know a lot about technology and Kei gets a bit suspicious why Subaru seems to be hiding certain things from him...

The second character who has his own route is Sirius, an AI who Subaru created. He has a cheerful personality, a male idol who enjoys singing. He talks to Kei through Kei's phone, but he often also shows up as a hologram. This made me wonder how the romance in Sirius's route would even develop since Kei can't touch him, but I kinda liked having a non-human love interest. I've played a lot of visual novels but the only AI/robot character I can remember right now is Clear (from DRAMAtical Murder), so I would love to see more of that.

Kei's first encounter with the other two characters, Licht and Mikage, happens one day after Kei finds a dead body of an eclipse at work. Licht immediately uses his psychic ability to stop him from moving (he's the only person alive who has a level psychic 6 ability, who can use psychokinesis) and later Mikage also threatens him, so Kei doesn't have the best first impression of these two. In his route, Licht actually turns out to be pretty nice, he just has no idea how to interact with people normally because he only talks to Mikage and his own father... One thing I should mention is that psychic abilities do come with certain side effects, they take a huge toll on the body of the user and if they use it too often, it can lead to permanent injury and eventually death, which is also a big theme in this route.

Each character has three kinds of endings: good, normal and dark. The normal ending is the one you'll most likely get first, though don't be fooled by the name because some dark stuff usually happens to the characters in these endings too...! The dark end is basically a mad end, but it's a bit more difficult to get. Luckily each route only has 3 different choices, so I figured it out with a bit of trial and error.

This game is technically "all-ages" but they do occasionally mention explicit topics and some...stuff happens during the human experiments, so I guess "all-ages" just means they won't show any explicit CGs. I think a 17/18+ rating would be better, as some of the endings also get really dark and some CGs can be a bit gorey (limb amputation, decapitation, etc.) I think it doesn't look too bad in this artstyle but it's probably good to be aware of it before playing!

This is the company's first game, so there's a couple of things that could be improved. For example, all side character models are silhouettes, which makes it hard getting attached to some of them, this includes the enemy robots/eclipses. The side characters & extra scenarios you unlock later also aren't voiced. I don't know if I misunderstood some of the endings, but I sometimes felt like all of the problems get solved a bit too easily and suddenly everyone's happy again (well except the characters who died...) but they might explain more of this in the fandisc, which they are currently working on. There's a lot of things about this game I did like though, the game was much darker than I expected and I really enjoyed seeing what would happen in the "normal" and dark endings. I also quite like the artstyle, and the game's OST is really good! Apparently the guy who composed the music used to work for Capcom and has created music for the Monster Hunter games in the past.

They recently tweeted that they would postpone the release date of the fandisc to 2024 because of the large number of scenarios they were adding to it. It seems like they're going to focus a bit more on two side characters I didn't mention before, who only appear in the final route: Licht's brother Kanade and Mikage's acquaintance Kousaka. I might check out the fandisc when they release it!

Realistically speaking Eddie wouldn't get along with any yandere! Not even the yans he does interact with (Ren, Krow, Ezra, Fone, etc.) ^^ He's disgusted in his own violent and possessive tendencies so he sees other yans just as disgusting (if not more since most have accepted their lil 'quirk'.) He only puts up with Diva's tendencies because he feels like its his fault she's like that and wants to hold accountability for it.

The only way they can be friends (and for Reddie to be real) is in a au where he is ok with associating with yanderes (or if the yans just... hide their true colors LOL)

DIVA on the other hand, would love to get along with everyone. She's the friendliest person you'll ever meet, and if she meets other people who views love the same way she does, she's off the walls ecstatic!

I'm still in pain for missing out the chance to draw Adam and Diva interacting from the hunger games thing. I uhhh.. don't play a lot of yan vns so you should recommend some before I have a proper answer.

Eddie (au wise) might get along with..... uh....... any yan that is as quiet as himself or is as bright as Diva and Pierre.

Diva would get along with.... anyone tbh. She likes friends.

Umineko EP2. Replay Part 2

Huh, thought Jessica was the one initiating the relationship and not Shannon, guess I had details mixed up.

Though I guess Jessica had unknowingly made the first move....

Didn't even give Jessica room to back down either! I had the impression Jessica kind of forced this relationship into existence but I guess Yasu had at least some feelings for Jessica.

I think the outfits a little goofy but I think it fits Kanon anyways

Yasu can probably relate a lot to compartmentalizing your identity like this and I imagine this is probably when he started having more of an interest in Jessica as someone with a lot of sides to her personality

Oh Jessica you have no idea who you are talking to. Also, I think while this scene shows that Jessica cares about Kanon and wants him to live a better life, she also isn't making a real effort to understand him and just assumes all her prior assumptions are correct, until she finally gets told off halfway through the conversation.

They reveal more than they meant to here, I think, it's honestly heartbreaking to read a bit... it might be leftover bias from me being a Jessica Kanon shipper when I first read the vn but I feel if this conversation went slightly different maybe Yasu could get some of the help they needed from Jessica.

Woah forgot about the Battler Yasu mention... combined with the mention about Battler saying the horse line to Shannon later on these are some pretty strong hints, though I guess narration is leading you to believe they are talking about Kinzo Beatrice

Funny how the narration pretty obviously from Rosa's perspective, initially gives this story about Rosa just pampering her daughter too hard because Rosa's oh-so-nice she went overboard, and then by the end it's talking about how Rosa hits Maria "impulsively".... how is Maria not supposed to develop unhealthy coping mechanisms of compartmentalizing her mother when her mother does the same to herself!

Nice one Rosa.... that's such a cruel thing to say, Rosa and Maria sections have always been some of the hardest scenes in the game to read for me.

The way her child is both her punching bag and her emotional support is both so extremely fucked up and incredibly realistic to how children of abusers are treated.

Krauss and Eva having a meeting about whether they are able to hide Krauss's death again (no)

It is kind of interesting to me that Rudolf seems more aware of his flaws than most of the cast... but doesn't seem to care too much about changing his behavior anyway.

This episode seems to immediately try to get to see you Maria in a different way to EP1 - her condescending magical genius persona didn't start until after the killings, here it's shown in a much more benign way, just a kid rambling about Halloween.

Imagine if Rosa instead of feeling ashamed Maria can remember so much trivia and tried to foster it into having her pick up history or something, like serriously it's impressive she can know so much about a certain subject! It's certainly more interesting and useful than my childhood hyperfixation being random Mario facts lol.

Kyrie's actually a pretty good mother to Ange all things considered, at least up to the point of what Ange saw, which maybe does tip me off a little to the "She said that stuff to Eva so that Eva would take care of Ange" theory.... I don't think she would manage to fake that so consistently otherwise.

To Yasu, who never really had parental figures, and probably idolized parents at some point I imagine their best friend having such a bad parent must hurt them really hard in a lot of ways.

And then Beatricce, coincidentally, does the same thing Kanon wanted to do but couldn't.

That's a really roundabout way to say you want to hang out, Maria.

Ouch, tough a couple lines later the illusion of a nice Kyrie gets blown away from me, though sympathetically I can interpret that line as Kyrie trying to get Risa to be nicer by speaking her language.

This scene's pretty easy to figure out, the one who knew about the crushed candy was Kanon and the fact Rosa can see Beatrice means she's an accomplice, and of course, Beatrice just made Maria close her eyes and switched the candy, and Rosa seeing it means she's going along with the story

She reveals she chooses her accomplices by convenience during this scene too.

it's pretty hard to not read Genji and Kinzo's relationship as romantic from Genji's side, though, I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't even admit that to himself.

I wonder if we should take this scene Kyrie happening to wander into Shkannon dressed as Beatrice, that would explain why she massacred all the siblings but Rosa in this episode, but also I don't think Yasu has any need to physically dress up as Beatrice at this moment... though I could see them doing it for funsies anyways.

Or alternatively, Kyrie could have been recruited as an accomplice earlier, and the reason she goads Rosa outside the parlor earlier was to set up the Rosa Beatrice meeting, and it would explain why Rosa's so on edge since she saw another accomplice getting slaughtered, but there's no real proof of that, I just think her getting Rosa to go outside is a little weird... It's not like she was a big issue at the conference, though I guess maybe Kyrie just saw her as the weak link in the anti-Krauss faction and felt like removing her from the beginning negotiations.

Haruto: Haruto would start to regret his actions, but you need to understand mc, he's doing all of this because he loves you and is protecting you from all those other terrible people! He can protect you from your stalker if you just stay here. He'll try to be "rational" about the entire situation and persuade you to be fine with the circumstances. I mean out of everyone else who would kidnap you, Haruto is probably the person you'd want to, you're close with him and you know he'll take care of you extremely well, of course he doesn't realize that you obviously don't want to be kidnapped at all. He would make sure to constantly supervise you to make sure you can't hurt yourself and honestly, he doesn't really care if you hurt him, he's confused on why you're hurting him when he's just trying to protect you, but he doesn't mind. Haruto is very patient with you and despite feeling guilty, he's not letting you go now that he has you.

Kage: Kage would be lost on what to do, the second you start screaming and breaking things, trying to hurt them and yourself, Kage panics, he doesn't know what to do in this situation, he didn't expect you to react like this. He starts to question himself, if he really thought this through, if they let you go now, would you still be friends with them? He'd probably make you cup noodles at first to try and calm you down and then gets sad when you don't, he'll end up just leaving you alone to give you some time to calm down. But you don't, not even as night rolls around, Kage can't sleep due to your screaming and the stress he's under from your reaction. Kage is the easiest to convince to let you go, He'll just make you promise that you'll still be friends with him, of course you could break that promise.

Kei: Kei expected your reaction, you were just kidnapped after all, who wouldn't breakdown and panic? He lets you scream and yell at him, truthfully the way you're yelling and throwing things at him has his heart pounding, he thinks you look cute when you're angry. He loves all of your expressions. He holds back his smile though since that would just make you more angry. After you're done throwing and yelling at him he leaves and gives you some time to think, he continues to have his camera's watch you so he can constantly check up on you(and stop you from hurting yourself)while he does his work. He has a very annoying pink haired client that's threatening him. Of course now that he has you, he doesn't see any use for that client and can simply get rid of it. Much like Haruto, he'll try to rationalize his actions, Kei has done even more then Haruto to help you with your stalker, and now he just seriously got rid of your problem, what more could you possibly want from Kei? He's been so nice and patient with you, why won't you just love him? Does he need to-! You're the one that keeps coming back for more, is this not what you wanted? For Kei to be your perfect boyfriend and save you from all the disgusting monsters in this world? Nonetheless, Kei will remain patient, Kei will rationalize his wrongdoings, Kei will continue to be you sweet, perfect boyfriend. I wonder how much more Kei can handle

Yani: Yani won! Yes you're panicking and freaking out and throwing and yelling and hurting yourself, but Yani won! You'll help Yani get her happy ending, won't you? C'mon just stay with her, just accept her. She'll take such good care of you, just love her and you can stop panicking, you'll see how good this was. Yani never leaves your side, not even as you yell hurtful things at them or hurt her, she continues to be by your side and comfort you as best she can(which isn't anything considering how the few weeks or week has been your worst all due to Yani) Yani makes sure you aren't hurting yourself and that you're well fed. He continues to tell you more about himself so you two can get acquainted, of course you don't care about whatever nonsense he's spewing. Yani isn't sympathetic at all towards your situation, they feel no guilt or remorse, you can learn to be happy with Yani you can learn to love Yani, you can learn all about Yani and how great they are. They really were made for you💕

The others!: If you manage to get out of captivity then all of them are aware of what happened to you. Even if you change after what happened, no one would blame you. Minato and Aki would be the ones to help you the most, both physically protecting you and being there for you physically and mentally. Aki and Jun would cut connections with Haruto and Kage and make sure that you're as far away from them as possible. You wouldn't really be allowed to be alone with how dangerous Kei and Yani are so you always have someone by your side.

I was also thinking alongside the lines of an Umineko AU, where magic is actually real. The era of sorcerers and witches and alchemy and beasts are still generally assigned to being myths. It's still in regards to everything Ushiromiya and Rokkenjima and Beatrice.

I was thinking that magic would still be prevalent in ways similar to the anime Iroduku: A World In Color, or maybe something like Encanto where it runs in family lines and individuals have gifts. Or maybe Kinzo did something, who knows.

But Witches and Sorcerers magic, alchemy, is something long-forgotten and even rumored to have not actually existed - not like they do in stories. Which would further obscure Beatrice's heart in the Meta from Battler - because magic does exist, even if there's no one left that knows if Beatrice's magic is the real deal and killed everyone-

(Speaking of which, I wonder where exactly Meta-Battler's memory cuts off? At the airplane, in the cousins' room in the guesthouse? We never see him question in the vn where they are, I don't think. Does he assume Beatrice just ripped him through space and time to torment him with her games? Not to mention we know Rosa appears and is getting forcefed her family at the end of one of the episodes? Where does she go, after? Where does everyone else go? Are they just lurking in corners, out of sight?)

At the same time though, so much of Umineko is trying to pierce through the veil of magic - not to tear out the guts of the story, but to see the heart hiding underneath. In utilizing literal magic in the plot, even if things like occult black magic and sorcerers and witches and demons are deemed myth or legend, if writing with canon-context, wouldn't it clog the narrative?

Also, it's a rule in mysteries, isn't it? To not actually use supernatural creatures/abilities - including magic? At least, not to hand wave how the crime occurred and pull a solution out of thin air. Though, in a world where traces of magic exist, regardless, Sayo probably wouldn't use it? She wants someone to stop her, Battler to solve the mystery. Her murders - though not anyone else's, arguably - following the rules of a who-dunnit, how-dunnit, why-dunnit mystery.

Putting this on anon, because I'm slightly afraid of offending anyone.

Honestly I think it all would really depend on the specifics of the AU and how magic would interact with the existing story to enhance or change it. If it ended up not really changing much, that wouldn't be interesting, but maybe it could. For example, maybe different types of magic are gendered, so 'witches' are generally supposed to have 'feminine' magic (healing, connecting with nature, emotions) and witches that have 'masculine' magic (controlling the elements, summoning powerful demons, etc.) is considered to be heretical or evil. Maybe Rosa encouraged or tolerated Maria's interest in magic at first, but as the abuse continued and Maria grew to be interested in 'unsuitable' magic that intensified the abuse and lead to a cycle. Just an example I'm throwing out - I'm not the best with magic worldbuilding.

Magic being 'real' would probably impact a lot of the metaphors about magic as love, understanding, illusion, etc. though. You'd have to work with that a lot to try to figure out what to do to replace it with in such an AU. In Umineko proper, magic is sort of real but also sort of not, existing in a gray area where you can interpret it either way.

As for using magic in a mystery, Knox doesn't explicitly forbid it. The rules relating to the supernatural are "It is forbidden for supernatural agencies to be employed as a detective technique." and "It is forbidden for unknown drugs or hard to understand scientific devices to be used."

The first relates to the detective, so as long as Battler himself (or Erika) doesn't use magic to suddenly just know things, all is well. As for the second, it doesn't explicitly mention magic, but it mentions similar deus ex machinas. So long as the magic is explained, it should be able to be used as part of a mystery. Van Dine, however, does explicitly forbid supernatural methods of murder/crime. So take that as you will. (Van Dine's rules are very strict compared to Knox.)

It's really about, if you want to make an AU and you think you'll have fun with it, go ahead. I feel like people feel the need to put so much thought into AUs but people can just have AUs, whether they're really meaningful and significant or just fun, which is meaningful and significant in its own way. I have tons of AUs that are just... fun. And that's nice.

Zecharias can be very loving and sweet if he wants to be, I’d imagine he’ll give good aftercare and will make sure his partner is okay. He will stay with them for as long as they need, and soothe any bruises and aches they get.

Anything that isn’t his right arm, which he hides for a reason. I think his favorite body parts would be his teeth and tongue, he probably bites and licks quite a bit during sex.

Considering he’s been trapped and alone most of his life, he probably masturbates quite a bit, since he has no one to do it with.

Hmm, well, Zech does have a kink that might make a lot of people uncomfortable. He has a bit of a hypnokink. He also likes bondage and other kinks that makes him feel like he’s in control. But if you tell him to stop he will catch himself before he does that.

Zech has no toys. He’s never seen them before, much less used them. But I think he’ll be fascinated if you showed one to him.

Zecharias teases anyone he gets obsessed with as it is. He likes seeing flustered reactions. He’s going to be a menace with teasing during sex.

V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)

He’d probably mummer a lot, saying sweet things and praises to his partner. He won’t be very loud, but would moan and whine, maybe even growl if he gets way into it.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot: I don’t think Zech will have a human member. The thing is, I don’t know what it would look like. I asked around and got ideas of him being able to shift it into different shapes, including a tentacle shape or make it ribbed. Someone even suggested it having a corkscrew-shape because Zech has a bit of bird-like traits to him.

So the conclusion is that Zech can shapeshift his dick if he wanted to. ;w; Though it doesn’t make much sense in terms of his powers.

X = X-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)

He’s well-toned, having an almost Greek god-like body. He’s clean shaven and removed a lot of his chest hair. To him it’s just easier for him to maintain.

As for his member, which I’m sure some people are curious about, I mentioned it in “W”, he can change its shape. I don’t think it would be comically big though, but it would have some girth to it.

Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?)

Like I mentioned in the “J” part, he has quite a high sex drive, due to what he is. I can’t really reveal what species he is at the moment, aside from hint at it. :>

My thoughts on American Born Chinese (TV series)

My sister and I recently finished American Born Chinese, the TV series. Now I share my thoughts. I'll try to keep them in chronological order.

SPOILERS AHEAD!!

So...

After watching the first 2 episodes, my dad believed that the writers were racist towards Caucasians because the principal character mispronounced the 2 Chinese characters' names.

Note: My family is Asian. Both of my parents are born and raised in Vietnam.

I think the principal character was just clueless.

We accidentally watched Episode 2 and 3 out of order.

His character, Jamie Yao, is very meta. I can tell the writers wrote him as someone who took on cardboard POC characters of the past. The writers and actors are using Jamie as that outlet to tell us what they always want to tell everybody from the beginning.

Tiggy is a character from Sharkbait, a visual novel! Check it out if you like VNs, it's pretty good so far!

He has stim objects that he chews on but like a large, overexposed dog, he absolutely demolishes them every single time. They end up in shreds and it's not even intentional most of the time.

🎃Spooky Month Games Recommendations Part 2💀

As before, the recommendations go under the cut because the post is long.

Don't Hide is still a demo, but it is a delightful yandere visual novel that has a lot of potential!

It starts off where you've just escaped from the house you're being held captive in and now must try to get out of the surrounding forest. The only problem is... it's cold and you have no idea where you are. You can run, but you don't know the forest well. You can hide (although the title says not to... perhaps with good reason.) So what do you do? Well, you can face ??? head on and see where it gets you! ??? seems calm and fairly gentle at first, but if you make the wrong move things can definitely get horrific. (By the by, did you notice that conveniently placed stick behind him? Now you did. Whatever move you make is your decision, but I will say "good luck")

Obviously I recommend reading the content warnings because when things take a turn for the worse, it can be a little shocking. (Content warnings include: kidnapping, stalking, obsessive behavior, mild body horror and awkward situations. Discretion is advised.)

While Purple is still a demo, the full release is fast approaching.

It a RPG Maker horror game about a young man named Randall Purpura who returns home to his apartment in a dangerous part of Los Angeles after an extended stay in the hospital (due to unknown reasons) and finds that his aunt and uncle seem to be missing.

After returning, Randall ends up meeting his new neighbor, Mya, and quickly becomes friends with her. He also gets a chance to meet his other neighbor further down the hall who is rarely home.

As the game goes on, you must solve puzzles and unlock the mysteries of Randall's past while trying to not get killed.

The game has quite a few content warnings, so I do recommend checking them out. But it is one that I have been eagerly awaiting the full release of for a while and its spooky atmosphere makes it a great game to play during October.

Rot With Me is more of a WIP than a demo, but it's another horror visual novel that features an obsessive (possibly yandere) antagonist.

It starts off where you take a hike in the woods and end up coming across a strange manor. In an effort to get out of the rain, you decide to take refuge in there and meet the charming-yet-unsettling owner.

Depending on your choices, you can get one of six endings. But, be warned, the beautiful man Fyodor does not want you to leave and he will try to make you stay... one way or another. (And, depending on your choices, you may even meet another character. But I won't spoil it if you want to play the VN for yourself.)

Obviously, due to the disturbing content within the game (Blood, gore, possessive tendencies, implied cannibalism, and allusions to stockholme syndrome) it is intended for an 18+ audience.

The Count Lucanor is a horror-survival RPG based loosely on The Tales of Count Lucanor. and it follows a young boy named Hans who leaves home in search of fortune and adventure.

He comes across a little blue Kobold (Patronio) who lures him to Tenebre castle where he must solve puzzles and get through the Count's test in order to walk away with the Count's fortune. You may even uncover the mystery of Tenebre Castle.

There are 5 different endings and man subplots. It is a delightfully fun horror game by the same studio that made Yuppie Psycho (which I have not finished yet, but wholly recommend as well as long as you are 18+ and have a stomach for disturbing imagery)

The Count Lucanor does contain blood, death, gore and disturbing imagery. But it's a really fun little spooky game, and if you like scary fairy tale-like stories then I wholly recommend it!

I only very recently played Reouija Sleepover but it is quite good.

The game itself is about a trans man named Aiden who has a crush on his friend, Dan, and invites him over one night for a movie night. But when he finds a ouija board in the trash... things take a turn for the worse.

The real horror starts out when their surroundings change to a place that looks like Aiden's apartment building, but covered in walls of gore and flesh instead. It's pretty gross, and things get even worse from there. There are 5 endings, three of which where Dan can die. For the entire game, there does seem to both be a sense of bleakness and urgency, and it becomes more apparent when the antagonist is revealed.

It's a 16+ game that does feature blood, gore, and themes of cannibalism (and some transphobia). It's all very well done, and this game certainly resonated with me (whether it's because I'm trans or because I just really liked the characters and setting... I'm not entirely sure, but it did definitely have an emotional impact on me.)

This game is perfect for the Spooky Season!

Mmmm I think the humans were wiped out by other races, we don't have much information but we know almost everyone is at war and since no one seems to understand how things like a gun works it seems like humans haven't been around for quite a while.

I wouldn't bet on the humans being spies, that more felines and wolves territory.
