In Tibetan Buddhism, Simhamukhã (Tib. Senge Dongma) or Simhavaktra, also known as the Lion Face Dakini or Lion-headed Dakini, is a wisdom dakini of the Dzogchen tradition.'" She is represented as a fierce dakini with the head of a snow lion. Her mouth is depicted with a roar, symbolizing untamed fury and jubilant laughter. Her roar disperses discursive thoughts. She is naked, symbolizing that she herself is completely free of discursive thought.
She is considered to be an emanation or manifestation of Guhyajnana Dakini (the principal Dakini teacher of Padmasambhava in Uddiyana), or of Mandarava (one of his consorts), or of Sangwa Yeshe. She represents the accomplished female practitioner." As a meditation deity, her main function is averting magical attacks.

Account of the Eastern Barbarians (LS54)
[百濟: Middle Chinese: *Paek-tsej, Standard Chinese: Bǎijì, Korean: Baekje, had quite extensive contact with Jiankang through seaborn travel.
[新羅: Middle Chinese: *Sin-la, Standard Chinese: Xīnluó, Korean: Silla, was probably the least known Korean kingdom to Six Dynasties China.
[倭: Middle Chinese: *'Wa, Standard Chinese: Wō, Japanese: Wa in more recent centuries has been used as a rather derogatory name for Japan. However this might not have been the case during the Six Dynasties when Japan was after all a remote and little known land in China.
A lot of this material derive from the Sanguozhi, and so was not exactly new when the Liangshu was written.
Also, please don't eat people even if their flesh is delicious.]
Among the states of the Eastern Yi, Chaoxian is the larger part. They obtained Jizi's conversions, and their receptacles and things still have rites and music. In the time of Wei, that of Chaoxian which belonged to the Dongma Han and the Chen Han for generations communicated with the Central States. Since Jin went beyond the Jiang, there floated envoys from east of the sea, and there was Gaogouli and Baiji, and in the timespan of Song and Qi they regularly exchanged appointments and tribute. When Liang flourished, they also made additions to them. The state of Fusang was in the past unknown. Middle of Putong [520 – 527], there was person of the Way that claimed he ad arrived from there. His words on the primary origins were particularly thorough, and for that reason [I] have also copied them.
Baiji, their ancestors among the Eastern Yi were the states of the Three Han. The first was called Mahan, the second Chenhan, and the third Bianhan. The Bianhan and Chenhan each had twelve states, Mahan had 54 states. The great states had more than ten thousand families, the small states had several thousand families, altogether there were more than a hundred thousand households. Baiji was precisely one of them. Later they gradually become strong and large, and combined the various small states. Their state was originally together with Gouli located east of Liaodong. During the Jin period when Gouli was roughly possessing Liaodong, Baiji likewise occupied land of Liaoxi and Jinping commandeiers, and from them set up Baiji commandery.
Middle of Jin's Taiyuan [376 – 396] there was King Xu, middle of Yixi [405 – 418] King Yuying, middle of Song's Yuanjia [424 – 453], King Yupi. All of them dispatched to present living mouths. Yupi died, they installed his son Qing. Qing died, his son Moudu was installed. Du died, they installed his son Moutai. Middle of Qi's Yongming [483 – 493], he was appointed Great Chief Controller for the Various Army Affairs of Baiji, Great General who Quells the East, and King of Baiji.
Xinluo, their ancestors were originally of the Chenhan kind. The Chenhan were also called the Qin Han, the distance between them was ten ten thousand li. Tradition say that in the age of Qin, fugitives fled conscription and came consequently to the Mahan. The Mahan likewise cut off their eastern area to settle them. Since they were people of Qin, they for that reason were called Qin Han. How they call things in their language resembles people from the Central States. They call a state a country, a bow an arc, a thief a bandit, and drinking wine as drinking toasts. They all call each other convicts, which is not the same as the Mahan. Also for the kings of the Chenhan they regularly employed people of the Mahan to make them. For generations they were bound together, the Chenhan did not mange to install themselves as kings, and they made clear them being drifting and shifting people was the reason.
The Chenhan at first had six states, little by little they divided to become twelve, Xinluo is precisely one of them. Their state is located more than 5 000 li south-east of Baiji. East of their land they adjoin the great sea, and north and south they have borders with Gouli and Baiji. In the time of Wei they were called Xinlu, in the time of Song Xinluo and sometimes Siluo. Their state was small and they were unable to communicate through envoys and missions.
The Wo refer to themselves as descendants of Taibo, by custom they all decorate their bodies. The distance from Daifang is more than 12 000 li. For the most part they are located east of Kuaiji, the distance between them is exceedingly long. From Daifang to Wo, [you] follow the sea and travelling by water, go past the Han states, east then south, and after more than 7 000 li, first cross one sea. The sea is more than 1 000 li broad and is named the Han Sea. [You] arrive at the state of Yizhi. Again cross one sea for more than 1000 li, named the state of Weilu. Again travel south-east by land 500 li to arrive at the state of Yidu. Again travel south-east 100 li to arrive at the state of Nu. Again travel east 100 li to arrive at the state of Bumi. Again travel south 20 days by water to arrive at the state of Touma. Again travel 10 days south by water, and travel by land a month and a day to arrive at the state of Qimatai, which is precisely where the King of Wo resides.
Their officials are the Yizhima, next the Mimahuozhi, next the Nuwangdi. The people grow millet, rice, ramie, and hemp, silkworms and mulberry, they weave and spin. They have ginger, cinnamon, tangerine, (fagara) pepper and perilla. They produce black pheasant, true pearls, and blue-green jade. There is an animal which is like an ox, named the shanshu [lit. “mountain mouse]. There is also a great snake that swallows this animal. The snake's skin is hard and not possible to cut, On it there is a hole which opens and closes, sometimes it is glowing. Shoot and hit it, and the snake then dies.
The things and products are roughly similar to Dan'er and Zhuya. The land is warm and temperal, the manners and customs are not licentious. Men and women all expose their hair-knots [?]. The rich and noble use brocade embroidered with a mix of colours for their headgear, resembling the Central States' Hu-style wear. For food and drink they use bamboo bowls and platters. When they die, they have an inner-coffin but no outer-coffin, they raise a mound to make a tomb. The people all by nature have a thirst for alcohol. In their customs they do not know the correct year, but many live to old age. Many become eighty or ninety, some become a hundred years old. In their customs, women are many and men are few. The noble have four or five wives, the humble still have two or three wives. A wife is not licentious or jealous. They have no banditry or theft and few arguments and disputes. If [someone] transgress the law, if it is light they take his wife and children. If serious, they wipe out his clan.
Middle of Emperor Ling of Han's Guanghe era [178 – 184], the state of Wo was in chaos. They attacked and invaded each other over successive years, and then installed a woman, Beimihu as King [Middle Chinese: Pjie-mjie-xu]. Mihu had no husband and held close the Way of ghosts. She was able to deceive the multitudes, and for that reason the people of the state installed her. She had a younger brother who aided her in governing the sate. After becoming king, few saw her. She used a thousand servant girls to attend herself, and only made a single man set out and enter to pass on her teachings and orders. The location of her palace houses, regularly had troops and defending guards. Reaching Wei's 3rd Year of Jingchu [239 AD], after Gongsun Yuan was executed, Beimihu first dispatched envoys to court with tribute. Wei used her as King Friendly to Wei, making use of golden seal and purple ribbon.
Middle of Zhengshi [240 – 249], Beimihu died, and they once more installed a man as King. Within the state [people] did not submit, and once more executed and killed each other. Then they installed a clanswoman of Beimihu, Taiyu, as King. After her they then installed a man as King. All accepted the Central States' feudal titles and instructions. In the time of Emperor An of Jin [r. 396 – 419], there was King Zan of Wo. Zan died, they installed his younger brother Mi. Mi died, they installed his son Ji. Ji died, they installed his son Xing. Xing died, they installed his younger brother Wu. Middle of Qi's Jianyuan [479 – 482], they appointed Wu Holding the Tally, Controlling the Various Army Affairs of the Six States of Wo, Xinluo, Renna, Qieluo, Qinhan, and Muhan, and Great General who Quells the East.
South of them is the state of Zhuru [lit. “Midgets”], where people are three or four chi tall. Again south are the states of Heichi [“Black Teeth”] and Luo [“Nude”], the distance from Wo is more than 4 000 li, travel by boat is perhaps a year before arriving. Again south-west for more 10 000 li are the sea people. Their bodies are black and their eyeballs are white, they are nude and repulsive. Their flesh is delicious and travellers sometimes shoot and eat them.
The state of Wenshen [“Patterned Bodies”] is more than 7 000 li north-east of the state of Wo. People's limbs have patterns like animals, and on their heads are three patterns. Those whose patterns are straight are noble, those whose patterns are thin are humble. Their native custom is to be happy and pleased. Things are plentiful but worthless. Travelling guests do not offer provisions. They have roofs and eaves but no walled cities. The place where their king resides is decorated with gold, silver, and precious and magnificent [things]. They surround their houses with a moat, 1 zhang wide, and fill it with mercury. Rain then flows on top of the mercury. At the market they use precious treasure. Those who commit a light crime they whip and cane. Those who commit a capital crime, they set up a violent animal to eat them. If it is unjust, the violent animal will turn away and not eat them. If they pass through the night, they will pardon them.
The state of Dahan [“Great Han”] is more than 5 000 li east of the state of Wenshen. They have no troops or weapons, and they do not attack or battle. Their manners and customs are both similar to the state of Wenshen, but their language are different.

In 1927, during the Japanese colonial era, Prince Yeong, who learned golf in Japan, was the first wife of Emperor Sunjong and Empress Min, who passed away when she was the crown prince. Yugangwon (裕康園) was where Yugangwon was buried[2]. In 1930, the Gyeongseong Golf Club[3] Gunjari course was completed with 20,000 yen donated for free and a gift of 20,000 yen to be used for construction costs.[4] 영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료

President Park Chung-hee frequently used the Gunjari Seoul Country Club, but as Seoul expanded and developed, there was a problem that the appearance of entering and exiting the Gunjari golf course was too visible to the general public, so the golf course was changed to Wondang-ri, Wondang-myeon, Goyang-gun,영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료 Gyeonggi-do (now Wondang-dong, Deokyang-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do). ), an 18-hole golf course was newly built and relocated to Hanyang Country Club in ),[5] the golf course site was acquired by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, and a children's amusement park was created. Ltd.) was in charge of consignment operation of the amusement park.영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료
As mentioned above, it is the place where Yugangwon (裕康園) was where Empress Sunmyeonghyo, who died when she was the first wife of Emperor Sunjong and was the crown prince, was buried, so stone figures from that time remain inside the park. The name Neungdong (陵洞) also originated here. One of the traces of the Seoul Country Club is the park visitor center, 'Kkummaru'. Originally, this was the clubhouse building of the golf course. When the Children's Grand Park was built, it was used under the name of 'Culture Hall', but during the Grand Park remodeling, it was demolished and a new building was tried to be built. .영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료
When President Park Chung-hee accepted the advice of his wife Yuk Young-soo and made this place as a grand park, he also built a children's center next to it in 1975[6]. After conversion, it was 영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료handed over to the Seoul Metropolitan Facilities Management Corporation in 1986. On the other hand, since 1983, the Highland side has handed over the consignment management right to Dongma Enterprises [7], but since 2002, it was handed over to the newly established Children's Grand Park I-Land (now Robot Park) [8].영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료
Since it opened at a time when there were not many theme parks like today, it is remembered as a place of unforgettable memories for generations who spent their childhood together with Changgyeongwon (now Changgyeonggung Palace). Until Lotte World Adventure was created, it was the largest theme park in Seoul.
Until then, it was regarded as one of the representative amusement parks of Seoul along with Changgyeongwon. It is equipped with a zoo and botanical garden, a children's playground, a fountain, an 영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료outdoor swimming pool, an outdoor music hall, and a restaurant by making use of the natural environment. Since 1988, the gilt-bronze bust of Kim Dong-in and literary monuments in Sajik Park were relocated to this place.
In 1983, it was decided to restore Changgyeongwon to Changgyeonggung Palace, and in the following year, in 1984, Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do (then Gwacheon-myeon, Siheung-gun), opened the same municipal grand park, Seoul Grand Park, and it became a representative amusement park of Seoul along with Seoul Grand Park. However, Yongin Nature Farm (now Everland) in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do (then Yongin-gun) in 1976, Dream Land in Gangbuk-영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료gu (then Dobong-gu) in 1987, Gwacheon Seoul Land in Seoul Grand Park in 1988, and Jamsil-dong, Songpa-gu in 1989 As Lotte World Adventure and others opened one after another, the demand for visitors decreased at one time. In the early 2000s, amid the movement to liquidate past history, issues such as the Institute of National Studies continued to raise issues, claiming that the words and calligraphy praising President Park Chung-hee and the literary monument of Kim Dong-in in the Children's Grand Park guide were remnants of dictatorship/pro-Japanese. However, the Seoul Metropolitan 영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료Facilities Management Corporation, the operating organization, said in a response to a reporter from Ohmynews in 2004, "The evaluation of former President Park Chung-hee differs depending on the point of view." replied. On the other hand, the Kim Dong-in literary monument erected a QR code-type information board that mentioned his pro-Japanese activities in February 2021, and on September 20, the corporation said that the relocation of the monument was under review.영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료
Until September 2006, except for the elderly, people of national merit, and the disabled, the park was only accessible for a fee, but from October 2006, the entire park (including the zoo) was opened free of charge, excluding commercial facilities such as Dome Art Hall and Amusement Park. Along with the free use of the park, it has also been used as a neighborhood park for residents of Guui-dong, Neung-dong, and Junggok-dong.[10] If you go in the early morning hours, you can see ajumma and uncle dressed in 영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료sportswear very often.
However, as the deterioration of the facilities continued to be pointed out, the facility reinforcement and reconstruction work began sequentially, and was completed in 2009. The zoo's animal cages were also greatly renovated, such as changing them to a new style [11] and new decorations. As mentioned earlier, it is open for free, and the facilities are better than before, so it is quite crowded on weekends thanks to people who visit as a family unit.영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료
In the second half of 2012, the amusement park was closed for reopening, but reopened in August 2014. # Actually, it was supposed to reopen earlier than that, but it was delayed due to construction delays, so at one point, a few simple rides were put in and operated as a kind of temporary amusement park. Of course, this side was closed again after the reopening of this amusement park. For reference, the amusement park is also where the rare Popeyes store was located.영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료
As with Seoul Grand Park, a service event was held for visitors, but it gets quite crowded when the zookeeper feeds the animals in front of the visitors between 1:00 and 3:00 pm. It is mainly limited to gentle herbivores, but visitors can buy food from vending machines, and there is also a large cage where you can directly feed parrots (budgerigars, to be exact) by placing food on the palm of your hand, but it is currently closed. A pack of vending machine food was 1,000 won, and a capsule for parrots was 500 won.영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료
Facilities other than the zoo and amusement park include a botanical garden, musical fountain, Arisu Promotion Center, Kids Auto Park, a stage in the forest, and Seoul Sangsang World, an experiential education facility. The musical fountain operates in any season other than winter and when it is not raining, and the direction, intensity and lighting of the fountain are adjusted 영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료according to the music. It is a popular spot next to the zoo because you can see the wonders for free. Kids Auto Park operates only on weekdays. Seoul Sangsangnara is a paid viewing facility that requires reservations. It is not an affiliated facility of Children's Grand Park, but there is a Seoul Citizen Safety Experience Center within 5 minutes from the main gate.
Convenience facilities in the park, such as convenience stores and restaurants, were all directly managed in the past, as were other facilities, but since the 2000s, many outside companies have moved in. You can also see franchise chain restaurants such as Shake, Popeyes,[13] and Ageo. However, most convenience stores are operated on a scaled-down basis to the level of street food stores, and the number of products is limited.영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료
There are various types of visitors, but it is also crowded with visitors from outside and nearby residents, and since Sejong University is right across from Sejong University, it is also the main date/meeting place for Sejong University students. Maybe it's 영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료because it's not too far from Konkuk University [14], and students from Konkuk University often appear. Also, since there are quite a lot of elementary, middle, and high schools nearby, many students gather during certain events regardless of elementary, middle, and high schools.영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료
Concerts with Hallyu stars are often held at the Wapop Hall [15] located in the park, and there are a significant number of Chinese and Japanese visitors who come in groups to see them. Since the back gate is the way to Achasan Mountain, many hikers go to 영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료Achasan Mountain. In addition, since the Universal Art Center is right in front of the back gate, the number of visitors to the art center is considerable.
As for the approximate distribution, college students and visitors from out of town are in the center of the park, where experience facilities such as amusement parks, zoos, and botanical gardens are concentrated, and nearby residents are in the west, north, and east gates, which are close to residential areas. Foreigners flock to the Wapap Hall in the north of the park, while hikers and art center 영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료visitors flock to the back entrance. At night, the facilities close and it gets dark, leaving only local residents, passers-by, and some late visitors taking a walk around 8:00.
There are three parking lots: the front gate, back gate, and Guuimun, but on weekends, there are no seats, so you have to wait for a long time to park. There are no other places to park nearby [16], so it's a good way to just go by subway. Line 7 Children's 영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료Grand Park Station leads directly to the front gate, and Line 5 Achasan Station leads directly to the back gate. The back gate and front gate are located diagonally, so you can pass through Hwayang-dong and Guui-dong very quickly on foot after passing through Children's Grand Park.
It is secretly an academy concentration area, with Konkuk University and Sejong University nearby, and a high school, Seonhwa Arts High School, at the back gate. Gyeongbok Elementary School and Seonhwa Arts Middle School, which are private schools affiliated with Seonhwa Arts High School, and Sejong Elementary School, an elementary school affiliated with Sejong University, are also nearby.
In 2015, a live-action Tayo bus using Aerotown was exhibited, but it was withdrawn in 2017.영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료
In the main place [17] here, there is a trash can called Nephron, which was created by a venture company called Superbin to encourage recycling, and if you put a can in it, you get 15 points. If you put a plastic bottle in, 10 points are accumulated, and if you exceed 2,000 points, you can cash it out. As of June 22, 2021, it was demolished here, but one remains in Gwangjin Square.영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료
Even though the consignment operator Children's Grand Park and Amusement Park Co., Ltd. did not pay the usage fee to the Seoul Facilities Corporation for a while, the court extended the operating contract through compulsory adjustment. was closed (Seoul city clarification data), the contract was terminated, and the existing facility was demolished on December 18th. In response, the former consignment operator protested that it was closed unilaterally, but 영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료it was dismissed by the Seoul Administrative Court in August of the same year, and a lawsuit for unpaid usage fees and damages is currently in progress. On the other hand, from the beginning of 2021, the corporation selected Gumi Industrial Development, which operates Keumo Land, as a new consignment operator through open bidding, and began operating only 16 rides from April 1st.영화 스즈메의 문단속 다시보기 누누 (2023) 무료
On August 22, 2021, 'Seoul Children's Grand Park Metapark' opened on the metabus platform 'Zepetto'.

i just finished watching mr. sunshine, if you haven’t, please don’t read this. major spoilers
i am so angry and upset and i'm crying because i hate everyone. EVERY SINGLE ONE PERSON IN THE SHOW. THE ONLY QUEEN WHO MATTERED TO ME WAS HINA. SHE DESERVED THE WORLD. SHE DESERVED TO BE LOVED AND WE ALL WERE ROBBED OF IT.
Tumblr media
I WAITED FOR 700 YEARS FOR DONGMAE TO GET HIS SHIT TOGETHER. FOR THE WRITING TO GET BETTER FOR HIM BUT HE REMAINED THE MAN WITH NO DIGNITY (WHEN IT COMES TO LOVE) AND A MAN WITH NO SELF RESPECT. FROM THE START TILL THE END HE WASTED ALL HIS BREATH ON A WOMAN WHO NEVER WANTED HIM
Tumblr media
dongmae & hina had everything EVERYTHING trust, respect, love (if you may) but idk why the writing for their them was so bad. they deserved each other. she loved him so much and it showed. i always felt like he loved her too but then... he was so stuck up with the main lead. they never let him have love. MY MAN DESERVED EVERYTHING. IHATEIT
even by the end of the show, they show us just how much hina means to him and for him to be just die thinking of the 1st lead. like, CAN WRITERS STOP WITH THIS OBSESSION OF THE 1ST LEAD.

Lion-Faced Ḍākinī
The Tantric Sources
The Lion-Faced Ḍākinī (Tib: Senge Dongma, Skt: Siṃhamukhā) is a female deity considered to be especially effective for dispelling black magic, curses, obstacles and harm-doers. In the Nyingma terma tradition, she is considered as one of the many forms of Padmasambhava, specifically a secret form of Guru Rinpoche manifested to avert spiritual obstacles and negativity. In the Sarma traditions she arises out of the Chakrasamvara cycle of tantras and belongs to the Highest Yoga Tantra ‘wisdom’ classification.
According to Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, the original scriptural source for Simhamukha is the Drwa-ba’i sdom-pa’i rgyud. This Tantra, where Simhamukha is linked with the eight wrathful Gauris (ke’u-ri-ma brgyad) and the eight Tramenmas or animal-headed sorceresses (phra-men-ma brgyad), appears to be connected with the Guhyagarbha Mayajala cycle (sGyu-‘phrul drwa-ba). In the “Tibetan Book of the Dead” (Bar-do thos grol), these Gauri witches, representing the eight types of mundane consciousness, and these eight animal-headed sorceresses, representing the eight objects of consciousness, appear to the deceased consciousness on the twelfth and thirteenth days of the Bardo experience after death. However, it is mainly through the Termas or hidden treasure texts discovered since the 11th century that Simhamukha is practiced among the Nyingmapas.
According to some sources, it is said that ”at the time of Buddha Amitabha, many aeons even before Shakyamuni Buddha, there was a demon called Garab Wangchuk whose daughter was a lion-faced demoness called Tramen Sengdongma. She delighted in taking the lives of countless beings, and by harming practitioners she increased the negative forces in the world and undermined the Amitabha Buddha’s doctrine.
All the buddhas gathered together and concluded that to tame her they would need to manifest an identical-looking being. The enlightened beings’ collective wisdom arose in the form of a wisdom being – the Lion-faced Dakini, empowered by all the Buddhas of the ten directions with their power and compassion to tame the demoness. The Dakini became far more powerful than the demoness, who then began to lose her strength. While the Dakini was in a deep samadhi of taming the maras, countless dakinis emanated from her and subdued all the demons. Tramen Sengdongma, now pacified, took an oath to serve the dharma and became a protector.
In the time of the 100-year lifespans, Buddha Shakyamuni appeared in the world and turned the wheel of dharma in many places such as Varanasi, Bodhgaya, Vulture’s Peak, and the charnel ground of Lanka, teaching on many levels including Vajrayana. He said that at that time it was as if the sun was in the center of the sky, and there was no darkness anywhere, but when the sun went down then the darkness of ignorance would arise. But Lord Buddha continued that there would be a method to dispel this ignorance, and so Vajrapani requested that Lord Buddha teach this method. Shakyamuni Buddha rested in the samadhi of taming the maras, and then taught the whole cycle of the Lion-Faced Ḍākinī. He taught in many different ways, and these transmissions were concealed by Vajrapani as treasures after he received them.”
Lion-Faced Ḍākinī
The Lion-Faced Ḍākinī is a fully enlightened deity and not a protector spirit or dakini alone. As one source says:
It is important to understand that, despite her exceedingly wrathful appearance and animal head, she is not a guardian spirit (srung-ma), subdued by magic, converted to the Dharma, and bound by oaths of service by some powerful Mahasiddha in the past. Rather, she is a wrathful manifestation of Guhyajnana Dakini, who, according to the Nyingmapa tradition, was the principal Dakini teacher of Padmasambhava in the country of Uddiyana. Therefore, although Simhamukha is a Dakini in her aspect, she functions as a Yidam or meditation deity and her special functions are averting and repulsing (bzlog-pa) psychic attacks that may assault the practitioner and the subduing of negative female energy as personified by the Matrikas or Mamos. These latter are wild uncontrolled female spirits inhabiting the wilderness, both the mountains and the forests, beyond the confines of patriarchal civilization. These female spirits are generally hostile to the male gender. Simhamukha appears in a form wrathful, feminine, and demonic; indeed, her form is said to be actually that of a Matrikia or Mamo, not because her nature is evil or demonic, but because her wrathful aspect (khro gzugs) skillfully overcomes and subdues those violent negative energies. Simhamukha is a Jnana Dakini or wisdom goddess. According to Jigmed Lingpa (1726-1798), the famous Nyingmapa master and discoverer of hidden treasure texts or Termas, Simhamukha represents a Nirmanakaya manifestation, appearing in time and history, whereas her Sambhogakaya aspect is Vajravarahi and her Dharmakaya aspect is Samantabhadri, the Primordial Wisdom herself.

A rainy day
The sight of the Musin Society chief seated at the table, his legs wide open, in his full “I’m a scary Japanese man” attire was something. Tea was waiting for him in a beautiful British cup just in front of him. It looked like the man was not even considering the cup. Hui Seong was delighted by the sight. He arched an eyebrow while tilting his head and smiled.
“I enjoy seeing you there” he said, knowing well enough how annoyed that would made Dong Mae.
“I’ll enjoy seeing you with some swords through your body, sir” replied Dong Mae, smiling too.
How hurtful of him. Hui Seong made sure to exaggerate the gesture of him being hurt by his words while putting his hand on his heart and throwing his body back on the chair he was on. Dong Mae was not in the mood for Hui Seong’s games. But when was he ever?
With that thought on his mind, Hui Seong decided that he would make Dong Mae drink that damn cup of English tea.
“Let’s drink” he said, “to our life!” he continued while raising his cup in the direction of Dong Mae, a toast of sort.
“Yours won’t be long if you keep talking, sir.”
Hui Seong sighed.
“My dear friend” he begun while Dong Mae almost snorted, “How are we supposed to wait for our third guest if we can’t even entertain ourselves with small talks”
Dong Mae didn’t reply. He just crossed his arms and stared a bit more harshly at Hui Seong, with half a smile on his face.
“Look around us” Hui Seong tried, “Everyone’s chatting and talking about small things while drinking tea or playing cards”
Well, that was true, almost all the time in that main hall of the Glory Hotel. But now, not so strangely, everyone was a bit more quiet than usual. You could even hear the rain falling outside. All eyes and ears were focused on the man who wasn’t drinking his tea.
“I’m sorry sir, but I do not think it would be wise to talk about how loud the raindrops are with someone who will eventually have my sword planted in his chest” replied Dong Mae
That made Hui Seong’s smile widen. “Then what do you suggest?”
Dong Mae got up and said “I’m quite sure the man we’re waiting for is otherwise occupied with that fiancée of yours. Quite another way to go through your chest don’t you think sir?”
Well then, Hui Seong would drink all the tea that was left behind if this was how Dong Mae was behaving. Anyone would have ruled that answer as cheating. Quite a sad turn of events if he was honest with himself. What was he going to do with his long boring afternoon now? How rude of Eugene to not join their tea party. Now he wouldn’t even have the pleasure to see Dong Mae drink tea in an English cup.
Hui Seong got up and put a hand on Dong Mae’s shoulder when the man was at the door. The man turned his head slowly and looked at Hui Seong’s hand as if he could make the member burn with his sight. Hui Seong knew he was pushing his luck, but instead of removing his hand, he decided to add “My friend, you were not thinking of going out without paying your delicious tea”. Dong Mae’s sight finally moved from Hui Seong’s hand to Hui Seong’s head. It was murderous.
Hui Seong lifted both of his hand in a surrender move “or they can put in on my tab” he said smiling.
Dong Mae finally moved again, quite slowly, but the way he pushed the entrance door was a bit too strong. Hui Seong thought about what to do. Staying in his hotel room all afternoon, waiting for the rain to stop, and sigh every minute or so was one way of spending the remaining hours of the day. This didn’t sound really pleasant. But at least he wouldn’t get wet. Or he could follow Dong Mae. Get threaten to get killed multiple times. Enjoy the sight of the man being frustrated by the fact he couldn’t actually kill Hui Seong every time he opened his mouth. That seemed like a fun and entertaining afternoon. He still took an umbrella on his way out in the umbrella pot next to the door. Dong Mae voicing death threats was a thing quite amusing. Ruining his costume with rain was quite a less amusing thought.
“WAIT FOR ME GOOD FRIEND” he yelled to Dong Mae to be heard through the heavy rain falling on the ground.
Dong Mae didn’t even stop, but Hui Seong saw that his movements slowed down for a second. The man didn’t even bother taking anything to protect himself of the rain. He was already being drenched. Hui Seong wondered if he didn’t care about the rain, or if he wanted to make it seems like even rain couldn’t bother him. Probably the later, since Hui Seong could already see the tall man’s hair sticking to his nape. And no one this planet could be mad enough to enjoy that sensation.
Hui Seong walked in a fast pace to keep up with Dong Mae’s long legs and his will to get out of Hui Seong’s voice reach. It was a hard task because puddles were everywhere in his path. Hui Seong liked his shoes, very much so.
“Would you want to share my umbrella dear friend?” asked Hui Seong
“I wouldn’t want you to end up drowning yourself in the rain. Sir.” Answered Dong Mae, walking even faster.
They walked in silence for some minutes, Hui Seong too focused on walking a very bizarre way to avoid dirtying his shoes with mud or soaking them in rainwater while trying to follow Dong Mae at the right pace. They encountered few people on their way to wherever Dong Mae was going, running to arrive at their destination as fast as they could, protecting their head with clothes. They had arrived in the Japanese district of the town when Hui Seong finally asked, “Where are we going on this beautiful afternoon?”
That’s when Dong Mae had enough apparently, because before Hui Seong could realize what was happening, he took Hui Seong’s wrist and swing his poor body on some house that was on the side of the road they were currently on. Hui Seong’s umbrella was on the floor. In the mud. Hui Seong would have to clean that later. Or perhaps he could ask some maid at the hotel to do it for him. What an inconvenient day it was. Hui Seong finally focused on the man that was quite close to him now, when he spoke : “Sir, I’ll be sorry to find you dead tomorrow because you would see or hear something that you shouldn’t” He wasn’t looking very sorry. He continued “But if you keep on following me, I’ll guarantee you I’ll be the first one to bring flowers to your grave tomorrow morning”. He smiled.
This whole situation was amusing. Dong Mae looked like he just bathed in a lake with all his clothes on. Exhaling some hot breath through his mouth, because even though his attitude claimed that he was a tall scary man, he was still human and affected by the coldness of the water running on every part of his body. The air was not yet very warm enough at the beginning of this year’s spring. They were under a roof, but still, some drop pearled at the end of the man's eyelashes. Hui Seong liked that. And he smiled too. And Dong Mae stopped. Dong Mae didn’t understand. Hui Seong did. Rain was nice. Some glorious sights he had on this day.
Perhaps because of the rain. Perhaps because of Dong Mae throwing him unexpectedly on a wall. Perhaps because when he looked at Dong Mae, and Dong Mae looked at him, something ignited deep on his being. Or perhaps someone had spiked his tea earlier. Perhaps because of other reasons, Hui Seong asked “You know, I’ll think our friendship could even be nicer”
Dong Mae didn’t reply. He was curious. And that made Hui Seong even more adrenaline filled with “I could help you dry faster, for whatever meeting you’re waited for” he smiled, taking a small step towards Dong Mae who didn’t budge. His breathing was still even as he looked in Hui Seong eyes. He was thinking. Hui Seong didn’t move either, waiting for Dong Mae to decide what to do. Kill him with his sword or inviting him in his chambers. Hui Seong would be a bit disappointed if he chooses the first option.
After some seconds Dong Mae finally moved. He leaned down and picked up Hui Seong’s umbrella “I think, that your umbrella need to dry too, sir” he smiled, the same way he did when he threatened him, but perhaps his eyes were less murderous and more interested than before. Or it was Hui Seong’s imagination. He was fine with it either way. Dong Mae started to walk away slowly, with Hui Seong Umbrella balanced on his shoulder, and Hui Seong took that as the answer he needed. Well, compromise he should make. Loosing one (very nice) suit was not the worse sacrifice he could make to spend an incredibly surprising afternoon with his new friend. As he followed Dong Mae, he didn’t even look on the ground to avoid walking on mud.
Hui Seong opened his mouth to express how happy he was by the unexpected turn of events were when Dong Mae said “I’ll have you know sir, that if you open your mouth before we’re both dry and clothed, I’ll be delighted to shove my sword through your mouth.”

I’ve been obsessed with this couple for a bit, and made this. I wish these two had been given a happy ending with each other ㅠㅠ
If you haven’t watched Mr. Sunshine, you should definitely watch it. It’s available on Netflix with subtitles. As you can tell, I was definitely wanting the second leads to be a couple.
