(JBW) One month after the recordings 'we are of dark rays' (joinedbywire.bandcamp.com/album/we-are-of-dark-rays) has been released online by JOINED BY WIRE, a project me (grm) had been following for quite a while with great interest and admiration, the COLDSORE recordings were conducted during xMESS'24. Later on, i invited and we agreed to do split-tape cassette release with our recordings under the same title/concept. Recorded with different means and approaches, but with what i consider to be a suitable atmospheric overlap, we here present 90min of long form guitar based experimental ambient noise and modular drum'n'drone. One side of our tape has been recorded in a span of about a year and the other recorded in one night. Listen to in the dark, while positioned horizontally to let the dark rays in.  C90 split-tape cassette, milky white cassette body with a black and white label on one side and a 3-panel fold out J-card in black and white laserprint in a standard cassette case with a shiny white back part. hand numbered, limited edition of 30 copies.

blue twenty-nine: Abysmal Growls of Despair

"Lividly nihilistic" is how the late Neil Kulkarni described blue twenty-nine in a Wire review that I still can't tell was negative or positive.

For sure there is despair in Hangsvart's music as Abysmal Growls of Despair, but to me it's never the only emotional texture.

In some of our Soft-Bodied Humans and Blue Tapes House Band collaborations, for example, there has been playfulness or beauty.

A roiling ocean of distorted bass and downtuned guitar frequencies, when Hangsvart's kargyraa throat singing finally emerges on blue twenty-nine it's like some sort of ancient and elemental spirit parting the waves.

Doomdrone for those who self-identify as a deity.

We're not about hate. We're about majesty.

The 5th installment of the POLLUTANT series brings us to the endless amounts of spilled oil and the devastating effects it has on all life. As a kid of a sailor, i grew up with the phrase, that one drop of spilled oil poisons 10l of water, while huge solid clusters of raw oil were washing up on the beaches of my childhood. I never thought i would make a maritime themed album, but here it is and now also the shipwreck of the TORREY CANYON is forever staining my white skin with black ink.

Self-dubbed recycled C90 tape, A-side blackened with spraypaint marked with stamped POLLUTANT sticker, B-side will contain the original footage, in transparent plastique envelope with folded full color card stock cover. Approximately postcard sized. Limited edition of 30 numbered copies. Released by TOTES FORMAT.
