WHELP. IT HAPPENED
Sony contacted me 🫣
Long story short I need to scrub the branding off of what was previously known as Bloodborne Kart, which we will do. But that requires a short delay.
Don't worry, the game is still coming out! It'll just look slightly different 💙
Like I've said in multiple interviews, we were all expecting this to happen so we could be pleasantly surprised if it didn't
It happened, so we're shifting gears (ha) to take care of it. I'll get back to y'all ASAP when we figured out a new release date!!
As much as I pushed for this to be "the meme made real" so to speak, turning this into an original game that we have full creative control over is kind of exciting. This is a fan game no more!
Regardless, thanks for understanding everyone!!

May prompt: delay
408 words
Rating: G
No warnings apply
@steddiemicrofic
“Harrington’s got her, don’t’cha, big boy?” Eddie asks, grinning wide like he’s talking about something lower-stakes than this, like stealing a Winnebago is a game.
Steve doesn’t say anything. Doesn’t know what he can say.
Later, Robin certainly knows what to say. “Steve.”
“I know.”
“Steven.”
“I know, Robs.”
“Steven Annette-”
“That’s your middle name, Robin, and I know! Okay? I know! What the fuck do you want me to do about it?” He runs a hand through his hair, clamps his fingers shut. Pulls a little, relishes in the slight sting tickling along his scalp. “I froze up, and I’m just gonna freeze up again, because it’s the end of the fucking world and what am I supposed to do? Tell the dude?”
“Would it really be so bad?”
Steve levels her with a look. “Oh, I dunno. How would you take it if the person whose friends in high school bullied you came up to you and was talking about how they like you?” He sets judgmental hands on his hips.
“Yeah, but Dingus,” she says softly, “big boy? Even I couldn’t make that sound like anything other than what it is. He’s flirting with you. And what’s wrong with a little end-of-the-world flirting?”
“Nothing,” Steve mutters, scuffing his shoe and sighing. “Everything. I want it to mean something, Robbie.”
“And it won’t with him? Or it will with him? And which is the bigger problem?”
“Either. Both.” He sighs. “I dunno.”
“Well,” she tells him, “way I see it, you got two options. Either you tell him how you feel, or you don’t. You talk it out, or you keep it locked up forever.” She leans against him, taking a break from making Molotovs. “And I know which sounds worse.”
He sighs, watches Eddie tackle Dustin, their laughs ringing out over the field. “Yeah. Me too.”
It’s later, after the War Zone and planning and more preparation, when they’re in the Upside Down and Eddie tells him, “Make him pay.”
There’s no hesitation. No delay from Steve’s brain to his body, to his mouth to form the words. He steps forward and kisses Eddie, hard and needing. “Make it out alive,” he demands. Begs. His hands, around Eddie’s neck, tremble.
Eddie brings a hand up, clasps Steve’s forearm. “I’m no hero,” he murmurs. “I told you that. And you just gave me the best kind of incentive.”
“Good,” Steve breathes, off-kilter.
“Good,” Eddie agrees, grinning.

Scolding thousands of employees for letting themselves become distracted from their schooling, Rockstar Games announced Friday that Grand Theft Auto VI would be delayed until the studio’s developers got their grades up. “We understand how much our team wants to release a painstakingly crafted Vice City into the world, but there’s just no way we can do that for them until we see them put their nose to the grindstone in Algebra II,” said Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Rockstar parent company Take Two Interactive, stressing that a C-minus in biology “just wouldn’t cut it,” particularly given how much games cost to develop these days.

Did a fun thing today and called FL governor Ron DeSantis' office to tell them I am against the arrest of Briana Boston, the FL woman charged with domestic terrorism over saying words at a Healthcare company.
Anyways, his office number is:
(850) 488 - 7146
Have fun, and do your part.
( note; do not be mean to the actual workers picking up the phone, they're just tired volunteers writing stuff down for you).

Am i the only one who thinks what Luigi did was fucked up? Like i totally stand for his message, but since when was causing other people harm good? The ceo he shot wasnt in charge of denying or accepting claims, doesnt even fully own the company since its a public company, and has two infant children. Luigi wasn’t even insured with Unitedhealthcare and shot him from behind like a coward. Since when was that cool?? And just because he has a catchphrase and he’s ‘attractive’ (hes not, he looks like a monkey) everyone is rooting for him. Since when did murder ever make way for good change??

Make him pay
written for @steddiemicrofic
prompt: 'delay' | rated T | wc 408
cw: major character death, heavy angst
tags: Steddie implied, soulmates, canon adjacent, bad ending, hurt no comfort, grief
(first time posting something really messed up, if importants tags are needed please tell me)
Read it here ⬇️ or on AO3.
The sentence is brief, the voice rich and warm. Steve heard its echo so many time in his head that he could mimic it perfectly. Those three words are on loop and they never take a break - if they could, Steve wouldn't want them to. He cherish them. As a kid he would write them on the margin of his notebooks, sometimes even on his skin with the sharpest pencil he had, almost hoping it would leave a scar. As a teen, he would rely on them when he felt alone, confused, inadequate.
But now, as a young adult, he starts to worry about it.
"I don't know what to tell you, Steve," says Robin with a shrug, shoving a pile of tapes in his arms, "maybe they don't live in Hawkins."
"I'm not gonna roam all over Indiana to find - wait," Steve struggles to keep all the tapes together, and tries to follow Robin through the alleys, "wait - Robs - you keep saying them. It's a her, I know so."
"You can't know that, dingus," she retorts, picking another tape on her way and tossing it to him behind her shoulder, "we all hear the same voice. You can't know your soulmate's a she."
The tape lands fortunately on top of the stack cradled by Steve's arms.
"Okay, let's rewind those first."
***
"Not everything has a happy ending." Robin says, putting the freshly made molotov away.
"Yeah," Steve scoffs, taking another bottle. "I don't know. I still have hope."
"Why, because...of the voice?" she asks, frowning. "You think because we didn't met out soulmates yet we'll be... Okay?"
Steve shrugs, a sheepish smile drawing shyly on his face.
"Love conquers all or whatever, right?" he says, and Robin returns his smile.
***
"Make him pay."
***
Nobody has an explanation for this. Nobody had witness it before, it seems. The voice has stop looping.
"It's supposed to be their firsts words to you," Steve repeats for the third time, eyes fixed on the floor, head in his hands. "Their firsts to you."
He barely feels Robin's hand brushing his back, barely see the white tiles, however the click of the doctor's pen is loud and piercing.
"This is unprecedented," the doctor confesses, scribbling more notes. "If you're willing to take some tests, we could find out and maybe help other people in your situation."
"What am I supposed to do now?" Steve asks.
The silence that follows is unbearably long.
