I have a question for y'all. now that we know there was no planned end to qfoolishs federation lore, how would you have liked to it end?

For me I can't help think about how satisfying it could've been to see him actually climb the federation ranks all the way to the top after so many islanders doubted his plans or thought he would be incapable of following through. It would be so gratifying after every time his character has been underestimated to finally get that win he had been working so hard towards in secrecy.

He could have had his villain arc moment but in the arcs end I would've loved to see him protecting the islanders or helping dismantle the federation, though not through picking a side. Doing it for leo, or another of his loved ones. Coming full circle with his mentality of picking people over morality and tying the entire arc together in a way that doesn't sacrifice his characters ideals and remains true to who qfoolish is: a fucked up funky fish man who would build something up just to tear it down again, bound by the whims of his carousel of chaos but also a father and friend who cares far more deeply than anyone would expect

This is Doozer. He was so tiny and a little Doozy so we named him Doozer.He loves to be picked up and held. He’s also loves giving kisses and wants to be in your lap any time you are sitting down. He is easygoing and submissive. He also hates his bath but never bites. He will just try to jump out. He loves to go for walks and is very easy about letting you put his harness on. He’s also prone to barking when someone is walking by the house or delivering something. He likes to be up on your chest snuggling and sometimes wants to lay behind your neck on your shoulders when you’re sitting down. They are very bonded so we are looking for a home that they can stay together

I don't think tubblings understand just how significant fobo is for qfoolishs character. Qfoolish doesn't pick sides, ever. He picked people, certain individuals he'd go to bat for and protect if it came down to it (qvegetta, leo, qjaiden) but regardless of his position within the federation or his ties to the islanders he himself never considered himself part of any one "side" of the conflict. He was just himself with his own plans and goals and would associate himself with whoever he wanted or was most interesting/beneficial. Or at least he used to before he formed a whole city/commune/single father support group with qtubbo.

Qfoolishs relationship with qtubbo is unique in that no other character has led him to taking a side like this, after almost a year of swinging around on his "carousel of chaos" qfoolish settled down. It's been pretty clear to see that from Tubbos first days on the island after his prison break qfoolish took an immediate liking to him. Their vibes and energy so similar like they could've been functioning on the exact same frequency. Always accepting and supportive of each others shenanigans, after both being put down and dismissed by other islanders it must've felt like a breath of fresh air. /rp Both punching bags, single dads, abandoned lovers, it only makes sense they'd find comfort in one another as they have.

In fobo, qtubbo latched onto qfoolish for dear life, qfoolish knew this and wasn't going anywhere. Tubbo might've been clinging to qfoolish far tighter than foolish clung back to him, at least at the start as day by day, qfoolish was getting there. There's an underlying gentleness to his interactions with qtubbo very reminiscent of when qfoolish would soothe his eggs or accompany qjaiden after bobby died, like he knew qtubbo needed something softer and secure just as qfoolish needs someone or something to devote himself to. "Business partners" being a thinly veiled excuse for two similarly lonely souls in need of someone that would stay. To be someone's number one, someone that understands. A friend.

interpreting foolish making a few of his own skins as qfoolish knowing how to sew and making his own clothes is one of my favourite headcannons because one of qfoolishs main ways of expressing his love and care is acts of service, he loves through actions. So it only makes sense that he might tend and care for the clothes of his loved ones too

imagine qfoolish sewing all of Leo's clothes, each new shirt or sock getting slightly larger than the last as she grows up before his very eyes, feeling immense pride as he goes from sewing tiny rompers to elaborate dresses that take days to complete and rolls and rolls of fabrics just to her liking all for his little girl. His heart melting ever so slightly as he starts all over again with a red and white striped scarf for a baby Pepito.

qjaiden showing her his wings and foolish immediately insisting she hands over every vest and shirt she has to add wing holes into the back so she never has to feel constrained and hide herself ever again.

For the longest time qroiers clothes were plagued with tears and gashes. Rips in his overalls after bobby passed, the gash in his hoodie from a friendship turned backstabbing. He can't find it within himself to fix alone, he hardly knows how. Until he's adopted, qvegetta and qfoolish taking him in with open arms and suddenly there's another hand steadying his shaking fingers because qfoolish cannot undo the hurt qroier has faced but with needle and thread he can help his son repair what he has

Mixing this with another headcannon, I like to think that the suit qroier wore at his wedding might've been one of qvegettas from one of his failed marriages. Knowing he'd never allow himself to wear it and let himself be hurt again and so instead wanting his son to have it and see it worn at a happy wedding, one based upon genuine love. Though he may never experience that moment himself at least someone he loves can, the cycle continuing for qvegetta but finally breaking for roier. But Vegetta is BUILT, broad as a brick wall and muscled like no other, and foolish steps in, adjusting the shoulders and waist and whatever else until it's perfectly tailored for qroier ready to walk walk down the aisle carrying the love of both his fathers with him.

so i love shark hybrid headcanons for qfoolish, but my favourite of them all is contradictorily almost an inverse hybrid headcanon where he has a hybrid trait that goes ignored.

Sharks don't care for their young, not a single species. After their eggs are laid or the pups are born females are quick to abandon their young and the pups are quick to go considering some females will eat their young, and for the males they're long long gone by that point. There's no bond formed, not between the parents nor between the parents and pups. Id like to imagine qfoolish has these core instincts from his shark half and yet they're overwritten, overpowered by adoration. He adopts Leo, and his shark side is urging him to dip, to not get attached and not to linger. But he does, and every day he grows to love her more and more as he gets to know her and she grows into his hija perfecta, his shark side smothered and silenced months ago by thick blankets of soft, warm, comfortable unconditional love. Instincts be damned that's his baby.

And so he may be more careless with playtime, sitting back and letting Leo run wild and free under what some would claim to be far too little supervision, but he'll always be there. Always there to kiss her scrapes better and tie her hair up when she's decided to dive into a particularly big muddy puddle or befriend another pack of bull terriers. Throw her over his shoulder giggling and squealing and tuck her in every night, soothe her when she cries and spin her in the lawn when particularly good songs play on the jukebox. It might seem ironic that the shark hybrid parent was the one to stay but how could he not?

foolish definitely has an "rp mode", a certain lilt to his voice and delivery that has my attention locked on every word for hidden meaning and hints as he crafts his character in real time. it's most definitely subtler than others and so more easily goes under the radar to non doozers but it's undeniably there and if you're used to it and paying enough attention you come to recognise when he is or isn't in this "rp mode" and sometimes even the moment he shifts between them.

It's something about how every word is spoken with intention and deeper meaning, you can tell foolish is thinking more. Very specific wording choices and the ways he dodges around certain topics or implies others. At times it even feels like he's handpicking every word, carrying this unique weight not found anywhere else in his streams. He talks slower, his tones different, i swear the atmosphere of the whole stream shifts. Theres also an underlying smugness to it all because he's a bastard and knows he's killing it and that we the audience are eating that shit UP

foolishs rp is often discredited because he's sillier, and less "serious". He has his own unique rp style hes found for himself over his years of mc and other rp but because it's less obvious in your face crazy angst it seems like it's harder for non foolish viewers to identify. Honestly it's been really cool to watch his style develop as he finds what works best for him personally and it's only gotten better and better, I hope to see more of his rp wherever he decides to take it next.

i can't stop thinking about qfoolishs interactions with the golden cucurucho child, he had this certain lilt to his voice all day and was dropping such fascinating lines i've been clawing at the bars of my enclosure needing to dissect it. So I propose the perspective of viewing their interactions as qfoolish possibly projecting onto the goldernruchito

Even looking at just the line "You're just a statue, remember that", replace statue with totem and suddenly it becomes eerily similar to the feelings qfoolish has long been implied to have in relation to his own status of a totem. Are totems not also statues? I'm fairly certain he might've even described himself as some kind of statue before. He dehumanises himself often though subtly, he serves a purpose, one he has to fulfil. He's just a totem.

This comparison between foolish and the goldenruchito continues in the line "we're the same", id like to think qfoolish meant this beyond their golden skins. He's been known to empathise and identify with gold and totems before and they're lifeless, this is a living golden child. To me this could be qfoolish confirming he sees himself in the kid.

This becomes far sadder with the question "are you the only one of your kind?", with the context of qfoolish possibly projecting it's easy to understand what i'm implying. We've never seen another totem on the qsmp, hybrid or not. Not in federation notes, nor implied totem throwaway lore. Hell, even qfoolish hardly knows what he is. Demons are a species, they're able to find and identify each other and often stick together. There's understanding between groups of hybrids, shared instincts and experiences. And then there's foolish. Unique, painfully so. It makes me wonder if he'd ever seen anything like himself before, perhaps ever. He might just be "the only one of his kind". You'd see how this fellow golden being could really shake him up, maybe being a part of his fascination and fluctuating opinion on the kid.

This thing is like him, but not really, but kinda. It might as well be a totem, even if it isn't. He doesn't like it. It's just a child, all alone.

This isn't canon, but foolish isn't gonna give us anything so i take what i get. In my heart it's canon. Thanks for reading :]

what qfoolish is, not who he is or the choices he makes- What he is has meant he will always, inescapably be subject to loss. Being a totem he was practically born for it, written into his blood alongside the names of his loved ones in delicate cursive. You could say it's a curse, the few individuals he allows himself to care for leaving, dying or disappearing. But perhaps it would be more accurate to call it simple fact. He will outlive them all, there's no way around it nor any magical loophole to be exploited. Whether his loved ones die young or leave late does it truly make a difference in the grand scheme of eternity? one way or another it's only a matter of time. Time he has and they don't, because he is a totem and so he lives. Always, inescapable.

He carries them with him. Every name and face and laugh and smile lost to time, gone the mind of every living creature that walks upon the ancient soil beneath their feet, forgotten to all except one. Held dear forever and ever (and ever and ever). It's the least he can do.

I was thinking more about the federation limiting and damaging qfoolishs shark traits as i explored in this post and realised, what the hell must the federation have done to qfoolishs gills. When he healed he not only could breathe underwater but do so INDEFINITELY and yet when he had his shark parts stripped away his breathing became that of any average terrestrial creature, which is to say completely incapable of aquatic respiration. The thing is that for most aquatic sea creatures with gills their gills grow continuously throughout their lives and thus are able to regrow and regenerate to quite an extreme degree, even in cases of total amputation for certain species. However, there are of course limits to this. If enough damage is sustained to gill tissue or chemical treatment is used gills can become compromised and unable to absorb oxygen as needed, or essentially, preventing them from breathing underwater causing suffocation.

With this knowledge my guess is that the federation would've had to chemically burn qfoolishs gills to prevent his water breathing. Frills melt away, tissue scars, rots and dies. It can be pretty horrific.

Perhaps at some point the federation allowed his body to heal just slightly, manipulating his recovery process to seal his wounds though only enough that his body isn't lined with awful burns, sacrificing his gills in the process. If qfoolish had his memory erased he wouldn't know they had ever been there at all.

If we go by the “his fins were attached to his body and grew back when he used a totem in purgatory” logic… they defo cut off his fins when he went to prison. There was that moment when he was failing to swim up a waterfall and escape prison with Phil on the first day, and he kept falling and running into walls in the water. He wasn’t used to swimming without them

horrific! i love it! In my head i'd always considered that qfoolishs fins had been removed at some point before the reset but in the prison would make so much sense especially with the waterfall escape. Even without his fins he was a confident swimmer but he'd grown used to having his them, only to have them torn from his body leaving open wounds in the water. After regrowing his fins he became so much more confident or even proud of his shark heritage, beyond mutilating him they stole a part of who he is. I wonder if it could possibly be tied into his horse arc, being weaker on his feet with the healing damage still raw just above his ankles and so selecting to ride on horseback instead for long distance travel

This whole headcanon is particularly cruel as regardless of his relationship with the federation qfoolish wasn't spared. Whether that is because they didn't want to arouse suspicion with favouritism or that they wanted to put him in his place. Even if he's with the federation he's still an islander. Still a hybrid, and for the federation there's only one way to deal with a hybrid; pluck their feathers, declaw their paws, sever their fins, all in the pursuit of control.

On the topic of using totems, when foolish used a totem to heal his cracks it made the piping sound bit didn’t actually use up the totem.

I know it’s largely because he didn’t actually do anything with it in game but it’s interesting to think about.

Like maybe when he used it rather than simply taking the energy it had it circulated between them to kickstart his own totem healing process.

I was thinking about that too! It fits really well with his empathy towards totems and refusal to use/break them as well. He wasn't near death either so wouldn't have needed to fully drain the thing using it up.

I love the idea of them circulating the energy, him only borrowing the little he needs and returning what he doesn't. It's clear he has a unique relationship with totems, it's not impossible that through his biology of his totem he'd also have unique abilities to connect with them in ways others can't, and beyond that he sees them as more than just resources to be used. He sees himself in them and respects them, it makes sense for his character that he wouldn't just take and take.
