Sit back squats Targets gluteus maximus and quadriceps

This workout is harder than it looks.
Hold on to a fixed pole, walk your feet right up the to the pole and then open your legs about hip-width apart.
Bend your knees and sit back into your hips, keeping your spine upright and arms straight until knees are bent to a 90-degree angle.
Press your heels into the floor and stand only halfway up to keep constant tension on the muscles.
This exercise is a good alternativeΒ if you don’tΒ have access to a smith machine.
This is very safe for knees and lower back since the force of your weight is sitting back into the hips.
Proviso
Beware of moving quickly or dropping your weight down.
Avoid rounding your lower back as you come halfway up.
Tips
