Almost the perfect tool for the job. Perhaps a bit small, but this drawknife made short work of stripping the bark off the walnut slabs. Imagine my surprise as I discovered a pair of worms! Let's not mention this to the clients #downsworks #bespoke #womeninwoodworking #surprise!

I know, you all know this one. Just taking the opportunity to muse on maker's marks. Which I've come to understand, btw, but still don't have one developed. A chat with David, @foxsfollywoodworks, reminded me of a couple of episodes in my early history....early school, kindergarten/first grade, we were supposed to sign our artwork, and I refused. I can distinctly recall not understanding the fuss, I knew which was mine. (I still don't sign my work) After a few months of this my teachers told my mother not to expect too much of me. Ta da, bed delivered! Small rooms are not my friends. WIP, last minute I found a hardware issues, supposedly #blum softclose slides how alloe for the tip-on addition, but I don't think it integrates properly. Or perhaps these drawers are just too small for the combination of features. #tbt floating bathroom cabinets and tub surround in this lovely riftsawn walnut. As I've been working on the current bed project, looking at the live edge slabs planned for the headboard I thought "I want a headboard!" and remembered I have more of this riftsawn.
