Ok so I just infodumped about this to my friend and I need to let the rest of tumblr know about this as well.

I have cracked Muppet taxonomy

Ok so the Muppets, if we think about them as Real, Biological organisms, are f*cking weird.

Like look at these guys.

Look at them.

WE ARE EXPECTED TO BELIEVE THESE ARE ALL THE SAME SPECIES!

But I’ve figured it out

Now I would’ve made a chart or something for this but I’m too lazy. However I give you

The Three Muppet Sub-Species

Subspecies 1: Animal Muppets

These muppets are explicitly based on real world animals, and typically have what animal they are incorporated into their names. Examples include Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and Fozzie Bear.

Subspecies 2: Humanoid Muppets

These muppets are shown to resemble humans, though often have some degree of unusual features. Examples of these include Statler and Waldorf, Scooter, and The Swedish Chef

Subspecies Three: Monster Muppets

These muppets don’t fall into the other two categories, are typically furry, and are typically described as monsters in supplementary material. Examples of these include Animal, Elmo, and Cookie Monster.

The melon? I think it's in the list of things I unfortunately can't eat (I'm allergic to some types of sugar)

The sort of modified honey? It's cool I guess. Same issue as the first one tho.
