‘’Ser, why do both the fisher knight and the night’s champion hide behind masks?’’
Hell ye officially on the road to making Julien my beloved. After returning to gran soren, Luna immediately made her way to the dungeon. Before Julien could say anything else, she slapped him then hugged him. He was shocked, but he could feel her tears soaking through his shirt.
“Pray my sentence allows me to see my fool hope come true.”
“…shut up.”
They then proceeded to eat pies in Julien’s cell lmao.
BONUS: also why tf does julien have an escort request immediately after getting sent to the gulag lmao? And he was fully decked out in his night champion’s armor!! Ok so hc that it was the duke’s way of shaming him? “Parade the fallen knight in all his tainted glory!!” type of vibe. Luna has his og shield so hc that the one he has is sort of a cheap, poor imitation. Again, another mockery :’))
When they passed through the fountain square, townsfolk jeered at Julien. They threw garbage and spat at his feet. Luna was about to stop them but Julien just looks at her with a sad smirk, “Dear arisen, let them be.” He saw her about to argue with him but she stops herself and sighs. Julien laughs; “What a cruel yet fortunate man I am, to have such a darling worry so much for me.”
They treated the escort quest as some sort of uh…unofficial first date out of Gran Soren hahahha. They always just walked around the gardens in the Duke’s castle so this was special
Meanwhile the pawns: 🧍🧍🧍 are we bothering them

Dragon’s Dogma as seen by a Dragon Age fan
Here I am again, wanting to convince you all to give this game a try!
So, Dragon Age is by far my favorite video-game series. It pretty much ruined other franchises for me, because most of other games can’t hold a candle to Dragon Age. But there is one that is definitely worth the hours and hours of gameplay: Dragon’s Dogma. And I will tell you why, from a Dragon Age fan perspective.
First, the cons: the protagonist is not voiced, and even though there’s dialogue, most of it is passive. There are very crucial choices to be made, with enormous consequences. But they are few, and most of the times the dialogue will be more passive than Skyrim’s.
Also, the story, for 90% of the game, is simple, and feels almost cliche. But the remainder 10% will make the game’s story, actually, one of the best I’ve ever seen. Specially if you are a Mass Effect orphan and need a good, decent, mind-blowing ending. This is the story for you. Actually, story-wise, DD is the opposite of ME: a dull story up until the ending, where it all makes sense and blows your mind.
Now, let’s check the pros.
1 - The Best Character Creator Ever
It’s even better than Inquisition’s, seriously. Here’s a few screenshots from John Cousland, the Arisen:
Note the variety of hair styles. The variety of colors. There are many, many options to choose from in all aspects. And! You can also edit the body!
See how she’s not so tall, the broad shoulders, long arm, even broader hips? I chose that. Note how there’s a height and weight trait, and it adjusts as you adjust the body. No, I did not choose a dwarven race. I adjusted Junia’s body to make her a dwarf!
2 - The Pawn System
Those pictures are not from different playthroughs. I made her as my main Pawn. Pawn’s are these quasi-human mystical creatures that help the Arisen fight The Dragon. They come from a different realm known as The Rift. As the Arisen, you can go into the Rift and recruit two Pawns to help you fight. And there is the main Pawn, which is always with you, and you can create to the same level of detail as the Arisen. Here’s Junia in the CC:
This is so cool, because you can do your OTP (or two from your OT3 in my case), and do screenshots like these:
You can recruit your Friend’s pawns to work with you. My wife made Anders. But as I have just started the game in the PS4, I haven’t had a chance to sync it yet.
3 - Romance
Romance in this game is very similar to the original Skyrim. But better. You help people throughout the game, and the person with whom you have highest approval will be your love interest in the end of the game. You can give gifts, literally any item, to any NPC, and build this approval.
But there is a ring you can craft, called the Arisen’s Bond, that you give to the NPC you want, and they actually start interacting with you in a more platonic, romantic way (again, until the end of the game, when you may finally maybe be together). This makes sure you romance the character you want to.
The only exception are Pawns. You can’t romance pawns. So, making an OTP is a bit bittersweet... But provides for some dope screenshots! Even though John can’t romance Junia, I like seeing them together in the screen kicking ass.
So, in the absence of romancing Junia, here’s the beauty John Cousland falls in love with:
Ser Mercedes Marten, aka Orlesian Cassandra! (Note the Hydra’s head behind her)
4 - Combat
Here is where Dragon’s Dogma shines. No other game I’ve ever played holds a candle to it when it comes to combat. The premise of the game is that you are the Arisen: a person who rises every time the Dragon comes to ravage the world. The Dragon and the Arisen are bound together: the Dragon must look for the Arisen, eat his/her/their heart, and the Arisen needs to recover the heart from the Dragon!
I don’t want to give spoilers, but this dynamic between the Arisen and the Dragon is EXISTENTIALIST!!! And it is this dynamic that will blow your mind at the end of the game.
The sheer size of the dragon gives you a good idea of the enemies in this game. Look at the Hydra(’s head. There are a bunch of other heads)!
Every enemy has its own way to be killed. You can’t harm the hydra by hitting it on its scales. Each head of the Chimera has a special way to be killed. You can climb a cyclops and hit it in the eye, and get this eye later as an item. You can jump on a flying griffon, rips is wings, and make it fall to the ground. You can hold a harpy down to prevent her from flying away, while your pawns strike at her.
So, I hope this post picked your interest for this great game. There is an online version of it, but it has only been released in the East. Maybe if enough of us in the West play it, Capcom will release it here too?
I’ll play it tonight, and if you want to join me, I’ll make a stream today (April 14th) at 6:30 p.m. eastern! The link is https://www.twitch.tv/events/WYOAxqDiRBeflFPbO-hmpg
Cheers!

Dragons Dogma Tip 4
The Encampment.
Upon reaching the Encampment the Arisen will hear a voice from a curious stone called a Rift Stone in the main tent. A Rift Stone is what is used to summon pawns into the world to help the Arisen. The stone will ask the Arisen to prove themselves worthy. This will spawn an injured cyclops outside of the encampment that is easily dealt with.
Once the cyclops is defeated the arisen goes back to the Rift Stone. This activates the dialogue saying the Arisen is indeed worthy. after this speech the character creation pops up and this is where you create your main pawn to fight by your side permanently throughout your adventures. Keep in mind you’ ll want to choose a class that is different than yours so that you will have a better variety when dealing with foes.
Once your done a cutscene will play with the pawns swearing their allegiance to you and this will activate a quest marker popping up over Ser Mercedes which will continue the main questline.
