Orminum Ok Smalinga
"Heed me, warriors bold!"
The command goes up from the center of the ship, where a young man braces himself with one hand against the mast to maintain his balance against the rolling sea. Swarthy he is in all but countenance, for there never lived a man who was fairer of face, and his high breeding rests lightly on his narrow brow. Lean he is, and willow-tall, yet in his movements' grace is all his strength belied, and his keen gaze – fixed not on his warriors, but rather on the nearing coast which the shifting fog reveals at intervals – gives mirror to the merciless sea.
"You who have sworn oaths of fealty to your liege-lord! I invoke the laws of my father, Óðin King, Lord of Rygjafylke – and you will obey them, and stay on my command. Kill when you must, and take prisoners where you may, for the blood of slain men can but stain your purses with copper, and yield no nobler metal. But show no mercy where it will gain you death, for the life of a thousand Saxons is not worth that of a single Norseman. Wait on my order to enter the keep, and take nothing until I have given the command to do so. Any man caught at port back in Rygjafylke with so much as a single ring that he has stolen will be found guilty of high treason and the sundering of his ring-oath, and will be punished accordingly. His holdings will be summarily seized, and his family made to make quittance for his transgression."
The end of his speech is punctuated by the soft grinding of the ship's wooden hull sinking deep into the sandy beach, and the young prince sets a foot upon the edge. Some of the warriors follow his lead, and as one body, they leap to the sand and begin to haul the great craft ashore. Once that is done, they equip themselves in haste. Battle axes, spears, and swords are handed down from the ship by the remaining warriors, who join their fellows when all is unloaded, and equip themselves as the rest. In the hand of every Viking is a weapon of good quality, and on every second arm a shield rests heavy, and gives courage to its bearer.
And when the keen weapons, crested helms, and shining mail have been meted out, the prince raises his sword as though to pierce through the fog to the heart of the bright Elf-disk itself. No enraged battle cry from his throat – no, not yet. For the element of surprise is still theirs to be had, and vanity will not make it forfeit. And when the prince turns in silence and begins to ascend the natural path to the cliffs above, the Men of Rygjafylke follow.
And it is only when the great walls of the cloister loom into view – that far-flung bastion of Saxon arrogance and softness – that a great cry of "Forth, men or Rygjafylke! In the name of the King!" tears itself from the throat of the Norwegian prince. And it is echoed in the throats of his warriors, and it is with an ardent burning of their blood and cries of "For the King!" and "Týr guide our blades!" that they set themselves upon the doors of the monastery.

The Doctor is In || Dr-Basil
Doctor Chilton had instructed Abel Gideon to be on his best behavior, as the prisoner was going to be visited by a scholar from England. He had taken a special interest in Gideon, for what reason he didn't specify.
Abel politely told Frederick where he could place his head in a location that would be most uncomfortable for him. Chilton stormed off, leaving the former surgeon alone, a metal chair placed before the door of the cell.
Gideon sighed and returned to his bunk, pressing his head against the white padded wall and tucked his feet up on the mattress, listening for the sound of the security gate being opened.

Manage uric acid the homeopathic way.
Most of the patients having a high uric acid level reach hospitals with joint pain. Many are aware of high uric acid levels when doing a blood test while having severe joint pain. Uric acid not only causes joint pain but also kidney stones and hypertension. The reason for high uric acid levels is impaired metabolism. Uric acid is a by-product that results from the metabolism of purine-containing food. Due to the unhealthy diet and lifestyle patients having high uric acid levels are increasing day by day. Homeopathy treatment for uric acid can cure metabolic errors causing high serum uric acid levels. Moreover, homeopathy medicines for uric acid are free of any complications and side effects.
What is uric acid? And how is it formed?
Uric acid is a waste product that results from the breakdown of purines, which are chemical compounds found naturally in our bodies and certain foods.
Purines are present in many of the body’s cells and RNA and DNA, the molecules carrying genetic information. When purines are broken down, they produce uric acid.
Normally, uric acid dissolves in the blood, passes through the kidneys, and is excreted from the body in urine. However, if there is too much uric acid produced or if the kidneys cannot effectively remove it from the body, it can build up and crystallize in the joints or form kidney stones.
Most of the uric acid in our bodies comes from the natural breakdown of purines in cell nuclei. But levels can also increase from eating a diet high in purine-rich foods such as:
▶️Red meat
▶️Organ meats
▶️Seafood
▶️Alcoholic beverages
So in moderation, uric acid is a normal byproduct. Excessive amounts accumulating in the body lead to medical issues like gout, and kidney stones, and potentially contribute to conditions like hypertension and cardiovascular disease over time.
Maintaining healthy uric acid levels depends on limiting dietary purines and ensuring the kidneys can effectively eliminate excess uric acid.
Causes for high serum uric acid level?
👉Diet high in purines: Eating a diet rich in purine-containing foods like red meat, organ meats, seafood, and alcohol leads to increased production of uric acid.
👉Obesity: Being overweight or obese increases uric acid levels, likely due to increased purine turnover and decreased uric acid excretion.
👉Genetics: Some people inherit a genetic predisposition that causes them to either overproduce uric acid or have difficulties excreting it properly through the kidneys.
👉Medical conditions: Certain diseases and disorders like psoriasis, hypothyroidism, diabetes, metabolic syndrome and renal disease can disrupt uric acid production or excretion.
👉Medications: Diuretics, immunosuppressants, niacin, aspirin and some chemotherapies can raise uric acid levels.
👉High purine cell turnover: Conditions with rapid cell turnover like cancer, psoriasis or starvation increase purine breakdown and uric acid production.
👉Dehydration: Not drinking enough fluids decreases the body’s ability to flush out uric acid effectively.
👉Gender: Men tend to have higher baseline uric acid levels than women.
👉The kidneys normally filter out uric acid from the bloodstream. But factors like diet, obesity, genetics or kidney dysfunction can overload or impair this process, allowing uric acid to accumulate.
Symptoms of high serum uric acid level
• Acute gout attacks – Sudden, severe attacks of pain, redness, swelling and tenderness in joints, often affecting the big toe. Gout flares are triggered by uric acid crystal buildup in the joints.
• Joint stiffness and reduced mobility – Chronic gout can lead to joint deformity and lack of flexibility from uric acid crystal deposits.
• Tophi – Chalk-like lumps under the skin around joints formed from uric acid crystal buildup over time. Common on fingers, hands, feet, elbows and ears.
• Kidney stones – High uric acid levels increase the risk of developing painful kidney stones when uric acid crystallizes in the urinary tract.
• Fatigue and malaise – General feelings of tiredness, sluggishness or lack of energy from uric acid’s inflammatory effects.
• Cognitive issues – Some research links high uric acid to poorer cognitive performance and risk of conditions like Alzheimer’s disease over time.
• Hypertension – Excessive uric acid may contribute to the development of high blood pressure in some individuals.
The frequency, duration and severity of symptoms can vary greatly between those with moderately elevated uric acid versus long standing, poorly controlled hyperuricemia. Many people are being cured of the sufferings of uric acid with Homeopathy treatment. The number of people who choose Homoeopathy treatment for uric acid is increasing day by day.

Homeopathy gives a solution for your thyroid issues.
The thyroid is a small gland situated on the front of the neck. Even though the thyroid gland is a small gland and occupies a small area of the body, thyroid hormone is essential for the smooth functioning of almost the most important organs of our body and any disorder of the thyroid gland can badly affect the functioning of the whole body. This vital gland produces thyroid hormones that regulate metabolism, growth, development, and the function of nearly every cell in the body. When the thyroid produces too little or too many hormones, it can lead to an array of problems collectively known as thyroid disorders.
Thyroid disorders are more prevalent in women and tend to develop during middle age, though thyroid issues can arise at any time from birth through old age. The most common thyroid disorders include hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, and thyroid nodules or thyroid cancer.
Symptoms of thyroid disorders vary depending on the specific condition but may include unexplained weight changes, fatigue, mood changes, hair loss, intolerance to heat or cold, constipation, muscle weakness, dry skin, brittle nails, and irregular menstrual cycles. Fortunately, most thyroid disorders can be managed with medications, radioactive iodine therapy, or surgery. With proper treatment, those with thyroid disease can go on to live normal, active lives.
A complete cure for thyroid disorders is possible with homeopathy treatment. Homeopathic treatment for the thyroid gland is with natural medicines from plants, animals and minerals in very diluted form.
What are the common thyroid disorders?
👉Hypothyroidism – This is when the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone. It is the most common thyroid disorder. Symptoms include fatigue, weight gain, sensitivity to cold, constipation, dry skin, depression, and muscle weakness. It is typically treated with synthetic thyroid hormone medication.
👉Hyperthyroidism – This is when the thyroid is overactive and produces too much thyroid hormone. Symptoms include unexplained weight loss, rapid heartbeat, hand tremors, sweating, anxiety, and diarrhea. Graves’ disease is the most common cause. It can be treated with antithyroid medications, radioactive iodine, or thyroid surgery.
👉Hashimoto’s thyroiditis – This is an autoimmune disorder where the immune system attacks and damages the thyroid. It often leads to hypothyroidism. Symptoms include fatigue, weight gain, feeling cold, and thyroid enlargement. It is treated with thyroid hormone replacement medications.
👉Thyroid nodules – These are lumps or masses that develop in the thyroid. Most are benign but some can be cancerous. Small nodules may only require monitoring, while large or suspicious ones may need a biopsy.
👉Thyroid cancer – Cancer of the thyroid is relatively uncommon but can occur. The most common types are papillary and follicular cancer. Treatment may involve surgery, radioactive iodine therapy, thyroid hormone therapy, and chemotherapy.
👉Thyroiditis – This refers to thyroid inflammation. Symptoms can include pain, swelling, hyperthyroidism followed by hypothyroidism. Causes include autoimmune problems, viruses, and postpartum thyroiditis.
All thyroid disorders are effectively managed by homeopathic treatment. There is no surgical management or any other complicated treatment procedures.
Homeopathic treatment for thyroid disorders.
Homeopathic treatment for thyroid disorders varies for patients based on their peculiarities. The physical symptoms, mental peculiarities, and moral and social values are very important for homeopathy treatment for thyroid disorders. Homeopathy medicines for thyroid disorders are selected based on these characterizing symptoms. Thyroid disorders are very common during pregnancy, and it is very risky to take treatment during pregnancy due to the complications of medicines. Homeopathic treatment for thyroid disorders is very safe during pregnancy. The medicine also can be taken by people having any other health issues and taking any other medicines.
Some important homeopathic medicines for thyroid disorders are Calcarea carbonica, Iodum, Lycopodium, Lapis albus, and Thyroidinum. The specific remedy, potency and dosage are chosen by a trained homeopath based on the individual’s symptoms and constitution. Best homeopathic treatment for back pain | homeo medicines
Back pain is one of the most common medical issues, affecting millions of people worldwide. It can range from a dull, constant ache to a sudden, sharp pain that makes it difficult to move. Back pain has many causes, including strained muscles, ruptured discs, arthritis, osteoporosis, and spinal stenosis. While back pain is very prevalent, its severity and duration can vary widely depending on the underlying cause.
The causes of back pain are complex and multilayered, with contributors including injury, poor posture, arthritis, osteoporosis, muscle strains, obesity, stress, and more. The back is composed of the spine, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerves, so damage or dysfunction to any of these components can manifest as pain. The spine’s delicate construction of bones, discs, and nerves makes it vulnerable to injury and degeneration over time.
Homeopathy treatment for back pain is one of the best solutions for back pain. Homeopathy treats back pain with natural medicines based on the natural principle similia similibus curentur.
What is back pain?
Back pain refers to pain felt in the back that can originate from muscles, nerves, bones, joints or other structures in the spine. It is one of the most common medical problems, affecting up to 80% of people at some point in their lifetime. It can be acute (lasting less than 6 weeks) or chronic (lasting 3 months or longer). Acute back pain is often caused by trauma, muscle strains, or improper lifting. Chronic pain may be due to underlying conditions like arthritis, osteoporosis, ruptured discs, scoliosis, or sciatica. The back is comprised of the spinal column (vertebrae, discs, spinal cord), muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves and blood vessels. Issues with any of these can manifest as back pain.
Common symptoms include muscle aches, stabbing/shooting pains, pain radiating down the leg, limited flexibility, and tingling/weakness in the legs depending on the cause. Diagnosing back pain involves taking a medical history, physical exam, and sometimes x-rays, MRIs or CT scans. Identifying the exact cause can be challenging. Homeopathy treatment for back pain along with heat/ice application, and exercise are very effective for back pain. Prevention through core strengthening exercises and proper lifting mechanics is key.
While acute back pain often improves within a few weeks, recurring or chronic pain may require extensive treatment to manage. Lifestyle changes like weight loss and stress management can also help.
Causes for back pain
👉Muscle or ligament strain – Strenuous activity, improper lifting, or sudden movements can overstretch muscles and cause strains and sprains. Lower back muscles are especially vulnerable.
👉Bulging or ruptured discs – Discs act as cushions between vertebrae. Excess pressure can cause discs to bulge or rupture, putting pressure on nerves.
👉Arthritis – Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis can affect the spine, causing inflammation, bone spurs, and narrowing of space around nerves.
👉Skeletal irregularities – Scoliosis, lordosis, kyphosis, and other spinal curvatures can alter mechanics, leading to back pain.
👉Osteoporosis – Loss of bone density causes vertebrae to weaken and fracture easily. Compression fractures are common in the spine.
👉Spinal stenosis – Narrowing of the spinal canal puts pressure on the spinal cord and nerves. Caused by arthritis, injury, or disc herniation.
👉Sciatica – Compression or inflammation of the sciatic nerve, which runs from the lower back down the legs. Caused by a herniated disc or spinal stenosis.
👉Fibromyalgia – Chronic condition causing muscle pain and sensitivity to pressure. The lower back is often affected.
👉Cancer – Spinal tumours or metastases can infiltrate vertebrae and compress nerves.
👉Infection – Spinal infections like meningitis can cause inflammation, abscesses, and tissue damage.
👉Trauma – Car accidents, falls, and sports injuries can fracture vertebrae, strain muscles, and injure ligaments.
For each cause for back pain homeopathy treatment for back pain varies.
Homeopathy treatment for back pain.
Homeopathy treatment for back pain is not a simple relief for pain. It is the complete eradication of the cause of back pain and stopping the back pain forever. During homeopathic treatment for back pain, the doctor collects all the data regarding the patient including the history of the patient, physical symptoms, mental symptoms, social and moral values. The characterizing symptoms obtained from this data collection is very much important for the selection of homeopathic medicine for back pain. Cause and type of back pain also play a great role in the selection of remedies. Homeopathic medicines for the back. Pain is completely free of any side effects. It can be taken by any age group safely even during pregnancy. Any patient suffering from any other health issues and taking any other medicines can also take homeopathic medicines for back pain.

*Hands you my URL*
Send me a url and I’ll answer the following:
O p i n i o n o n ;
Character in general: Basil is someone I think I could easily be friends with. He's very much an absent-minded professor sort of character, which can make him seem sort of stupid at times -- but the great thing is that he's not. He's a bit daft and sometimes careless, but it's all in the name of learning as much as he can (while not giving much of a shit about what it costs him), and his sense of self-preservation is actually pretty good. He's not shrewd or conniving or any of that, and he's almost painfully honest and deferential, but I can relate to him a lot. He'd be a terrible roommate -- but I feel like being friends with him would be hella funHow they play them: I think at times his carelessness and subservience is a bit played-up, which makes him appear more bumbling and foolish than his actual intelligence would suggest he ought to be. And I think Basil's real strength lies in deep conversation with another person -- his curiosity lends itself well to that sort of one-on-one interaction, where he's free to just be himself without having to play games. The Mun: Nate is my baby, and I don't care that they're older than me. I am in a pretty much constant state of wanting to be able to wrap them in blankets and give them tea and chocolate and marathon Hannibal with them, because they deserve everything that's good and wonderful in life, and they're one of the kindest, most honestly compassionate and frighteningly empathetic people I know. Writing with them is fun, but the real pleasure and honor has been to become their friend.
D o I :
RP with them: Absolutely!Want to RP with them: Yes.
W h a t i s m y ;
Overall Opinion: Basil is a great character, and a lot of fun to write with. And while Nate's writing is sometimes a bit erratic and more prone to giving an overall impression of setting and intention than making it explicit, it's a surmountable challenge, and well worth the effort. And Nate is one of the kindest people you'll ever meet, and one of my best friends. And if you don't want to write with them, you should at least go say hello and get to know them.
**Note: Mun’s answer are all to be completely honest. Don’t send url if you don’t want brutal honesty

[cont] foolish! And you are not a fool! And you Sir, you may slay me for the words I speak when your strength returns but know that my words are true! You are not a mistake put upon our society! You are a worthy, knowledgeable and important being that surpasses any word of my vocabulary and this, sir was ridiculous of only the highest order!" A breath, he took, not caring that his outrage might be the last of what he spoke. 'Such as, M'Lord. Such as, you mean more than this silly, fallacy!"
[3/3]
My muse just did something stupid that almost got them killed. Yell at them.
"Basil..."
There is a warning note in his voice, but it is hoarse and weakened by the defeat he had just suffered. And perhaps it is simply that he is too exhausted and sore to muster up the will to express his indignation, but as thrall reams master for nearly dying, the latter remains still and quiet where he lies limp upon the ground.
"Basil!" he rasps, and manages to get his arm under him well enough to push himself up onto his elbow, using his palm to brace himself there.
"For mercy's sake, stop your prattling and help me stand! I may kill you later for exacerbating this headache, but since you have correctly estimated how greatly my strength is lacking, you could at least make yourself useful."

≡ *Basil., cos OMG HUGGING*
Send me a ≡ for my muse’s reaction to yours suddenly hugging them very tightly
All things considered, Loki's reaction is relatively gentle -- he has forgone grasping his thrall by the throat and grasped him by the collar instead, and when he slams him into the wall, he moderates his strength to prevent any bones from breaking.
But it is sudden, and it is swift, and his features are sharp and black with annoyance as he glares into the mortal's eyes.
"Do not. Ever. Touch me," he growls. "Unless we are sparring, you do not touch me. Am I clear, Doctor?"

"Why are we in a graveyard?" [Basil]
Send my muse one of the following to see how they react:
"Because I suddenly had a craving for a bit of necromancy, and I'll need a distraction in case matters get out of hand."
It is currently impossible to tell whether or not he's joking, as his expression is displaced by not a muscle's twitch, nor his voice by a single decibel.

*Sends a crown for Basil*
send me a ♛ and i’ll explain why my character treats yours the way they do.
Of his non-familial relationships, Loki's relationship with Basil is possibly the most complicated. Maybe not for him as a character, but definitely for me as a writer. I agonized for a while over where exactly Basil fit on Loki's Friend <--> Enemy spectrum, and he was off with Thor in some no-man's land, and making my life difficult. He certainly wasn't an enemy, because Loki didn't have a strong aversion to him. He wasn't a proper friend either, because as far as Loki is concerned, that relationship requires that the balance of power be somewhat equal, and Basil has always been quite subservient. He doesn't care enough about Basil for their relationship to be familial, but he does care about him to a certain extent and like him as a person, mostly because of his insatiable lust for knowledge and dedication to accumulating as much as possible. So where, where, where to put him?
Finally, I think because of a meme, the answer came. The willingness with which Basil bound himself to Loki as his servant shocked him, but not enough to inspire his aversion -- for he could see Basil considering his options every time Loki gave him the opportunity to bow out, and so the decision did not seem rash. And Loki is not cruel to him, because there's absolutely no need to be, and because Loki (for all of his talent for deceit) is a man of his word; Basil took oaths of fealty willingly and with a full understanding of what doing so might entail, and Loki will keep his end of their contract, and do him no egregious harm unless he is betrayed.
That doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy toying with him (and frequently at that), but it's more on the playful side of mischievous than the malicious, and it's (mostly) harmless -- the most damaging thing he'll do is draw a bit of blood here and there during swordplay lessons. Because he does value Basil both as a thrall and as good company, and would like to keep him intact for as long as possible.

* [Basil. one of his antique guns}
Send me a * and my muse will react to your muse pointing a gun at their head.
He takes a calm step backward and warily eyes the gun that Basil has just thrust toward him. Fortunately, it doesn't seem like the mortal had meant to do so barrel-first (for it is quickly turned around), and the tension that had sprung into the god's shoulders melts away just as quickly as it had come, giving way to the inquisitiveness that had led to the unearthing of the antique in the first place.
"May I?" he asks, and holds out a palm to take the pretty little curiosity, should his thrall allow it.

The Old Days
((Listen: [x] ))
A battle rages on Germany's shore.
Bright is the sun in the clear sky, though clouds gather and build over the ocean in the distance, casting dappled shadow over the water. Spring's last snowfall coats the land, and though it is pristine high on the hill where the Mischief God sits on an outcropping of bare rock, the beach below is a crimson mess of blood-drenched sand, churned up with what once was snow beneath a multitude of leather-booted feet. As Loki watches, a lone figure breaks off from the fray, and begins to run up the hill towards him. It is slow going, for the snow is deep and partially melted, and the incline is steep. But soon the shape distinguishes itself, and finally crests the ridge.
"Should you not be down there fighting, Budli's daughter?" Loki's own voice sounds in his ears, balanced between playfulness and solemnity, and he turns his head to the side to regard the young woman who had made such an effort to reach him. Fair of complexion is she, and her dark hair is tightly bound in braids about her head. Her sword is in her hand, but loosely held, as though she had forgotten it (indeed, she had been using it to keep her balance whenever she had begun to slip down the hill, driving it through the snow and into the wet earth below). Her skin and armor alike are smeared with blood and sand and sweat, and her chest heaves with exertion, and Loki waits patiently as she regains her breath. She swallows, finally, and sighs, squaring her shoulders and lifting her chin.
"Loki, Son of Odin, and Most-cunning of the Gods -- I request your counsel."
A smirk curves the Trickster's lips, and with catlike grace he pulls himself to his feet. The sword he takes from her hand -- and it is with a fair bit of surprise that she realizes she had still been holding it -- and he dips it into the snow, cleans the mud from the tip with a cloth he pulls from thin air, and slips the blade into the scabbard at her side. "Fair kennings do not a flatterer make, Brynhildr -- but spare me, for I am not a fool..."
"...I know! I..."
"...and I can SEE..." He holds up a finger to silence her, and his eyes flash with sharp amusement. "...by the speed of your tongue that you are very, very desperate. Why do you come to me, Brynhildr, when the battle is at its height? Why do you leave your fellows to fight without your aid?"
"...I doubt my choice."
'It is her lot to decide the battle.' He addresses the interloper in his mind. 'This is Brynhildr Budlisdottir, known to you, I am certain, by her part in the Saga of the Völsungs.'
"Of course you do," the memory-Loki continues haughtily. "Only a fool would, in your position, feel entirely confident."
The warrior purses her lips, and sighs, deflating slightly before she meets Loki's eyes once more.
"Do you think I am making the right one?"
"Do you?"
She fixes the young god with an irritated glare, and twists her lips into a scowl. "I don't know. That's what I came here to ask you. That is why I am here."
"Answer the question, Budli's Daughter."
She glares at him for another moment, then sighs, and rolls her eyes skyward. There is a long pause, before she shakes her head, and returns her gaze to Loki.
"I know not. Truly. I fear the wrath of Odin, and what suffering he will bring upon me should I allow Hjalmgunnar to be slain... but how will I live with myself if Agnar dies? Either way, my very existence will be torment -- for either I shall anger the Sigföðr and suffer his wrath, or I shall live with the guilt of allowing Agnar to be killed. What is better, Sly One?" Her eyes begin to glaze with tears, and her breathing speeds. "To have everything, and the blood of a good man on my hands? Or to have nothing, and be guiltless?"
Loki regards her gently. The mirth in his gaze is gone, and he casts his gaze to the side, down the hill toward the battling armies.
"By your phrasing, I think you know what I will say. You are made of hard stuff, Budli's Daughter -- whatever the All-father might do, I doubt not that you have strength to overcome it. But it is much more difficult to mend a broken heart than it is to heal a broken body -- and while I imagine you capable of doing both, I think you will find Odin's punishment less agonizing than whatever you would otherwise inflict upon yourself."
"That is your advice, then?" Brynhildr's voice is quiet, and she gazes at Loki with matching solemnity.
He nods, and removes his hand from her shoulder. "For what the advice of a Lie-smith is worth against one who is sometimes known as Gagnráðr. Make your decision with that in mind, and if you do heed me, do so for the right reasons."
The warrior regards Loki quietly for a moment, then breathes a decisive sigh, swallows, and bows. The god inclines his head in response. And without another word spoken between them, she draws her sword, turns on her heel, and begins to sprint down the snow-slick hill, surefooted and with easy stride. Loki sits back down on his bare stone, and watches as she launches herself back into the fray..."
'And you know how this story ends, Dr. Carrion. I need not show you more.'

(Basil :P) -Does not mind much but stays very very very still to avoid imminent death until further notice* (Holds wall for dear life)
Part of what made this sort of thing so deliciously enjoyable, especially where mortals were concerned, was the fear. The roar of someone else's blood under skin damp with sweat, the tension in their flesh, the way they gripped whatever they could find and held on like drowning sailors to driftood, stock still, as if the slightest move might insult the god and provoke his wrath. It makes him feel powerful. It makes him feel alive.
A hand moves from Basil's wrist to his throat, pinning him with just enough force that his breath must come with some difficulty, and his grip on the mortal's other wrist tightens as he bears down, then draws slightly away. "There is no need to be so afraid, my pet," he croons sweetly. "Reciprocation of such affections is not a capital offense."

Note
♚(Basil of course)
He glances over at the mortal in annoyance, and shoves him unceremoniously into an upright position -- leaning more toward the other side so that should he for some reason happen not to wake, he will keel over away from Loki, rather than atop him.
