I mean, it's mostly the same up to Dream's arrest but I seriously just took the guts and then put them somewhere completely different

I made this because I was really upset about the endings we got and all the lore that never got completed and all the plotpoints that got left behind. And I was mad at some of the CC's too (still am tbh) and wanted to make something that I could feel safe and have a fun time interacting with and enjoying without it being connected to those creators

Basically this is my own personal fix-it AU

So I guess if you're a DSMP fan or ex-DSMP fan looking for refuge (i.e. you want a better ending/more worldbuilding/improved lore) feel free to check it out. If it's not for you that's chill too

I'm sorry about posting about the dream drama so much but

I think one of the most interesting things about dsmp is that no one person understood every pov or had seen the whole lore, but the fandom came together and shared our knowledge until it became one beautiful monster that nobody could really define. Until it became something beautiful. Dsmp did not exist without fandom, and fandom made it something amazing.

A lot of the fanon was basically cannon, look at SBI as a family or the way the characters are drawn, and it was amazing. Every single person saw dsmp differently and it was a u ique experience for every one of us. I was a Wilbur main and saw the l'manburg arc, but didn't really understand the egg. I understood the lore through my bbh main mutuals and didn't know that there headcannons weren't exactly what happened.

Cannon sucked a little, but the way fannon flourished and grew around it was amazing, and it was so cool to watch people build new headcannons around events happening in real time, to watch my mutuals live blog everything that was happening, to hear the songs and see the fanart and read the fanfics and just see how much people loved it.

Dsmp was amazing because nothing was strictly true. Some people may see beeduo as romantic, some people see it platonic. Some people see SBI as a family, Some stick closer to cannon. Every single person sees it their own way, and yes, that makes for some awful discourse, but I think it more importantly makes for a beautiful sense of community and shared love.

But we were really shitty to like every woman in the dsmp so let's not do that again thx

Disclaimer: I am not a fan of cc!dream nor do I support literally anything he does these days. This post is about dsmp!dream ONLY.

Do you ever think about how c!dream couldve been so much more of an interesting villain. Because the c!dream we got started out like kind of interesting and then slowly but surely devolved into a boring two-dimensional "I just want power and control" villain. He could've been soooo interesting and then he just kind of petered out.

May I propose to you a bit of a pet idea I've been thinking on for a little bit that I think adds a lot of interest to his character without messing too much with canon and without making him too sympathetic: c!dream is a fallen god.

What if c!dream and dreamxd were once One Entity. An entity capable of turning back time and redoing events until they turned out just right. An entity just known as Dream, who truly, genuinely wanted a happy ending. Who wanted the "one big happy family" and kept rewriting time to maximize the amount of Dream SMP members who were happy.

Here and there he would have timelines where he went full scorched earth, to relieve his stress, but-- he can always go back. He can always undo it. He can undo it and fix everything and then they can all be one big happy family.

And then the Dreamons arc happens. And he's split into two entities: Dream, who lives in the timeline and has an effect on it, and DreamXD who lives outside of the timeline but can move people in time. And suddenly Dream can't reset anymore, but he's so used to it that he just... keeps going.

We see his actions get increasingly fucked up from the dreamons arc forward. He can't undo fucked up shit he does, anymore. He can't make things better, anymore. He can't just throw spaghetti at a wall and reset if it goes wrong, anymore. But he's so used to it!!! This is his process, he just can't iterate on it anymore!!

And Tubbo took that from him. Tubbo and Sapnap and Fundy-- arguably three of the five characters most fucked over by Dream --took his godhood from him. Dream focuses on Tubbo and methodically fucks up everything for Tubbo in an indirect way post-november 16th-- and if Tubbo took away his ability to redo things, that gains an interesting motive that wasnt there before.

And DreamXD loans out his power, pushing Karl and maybe even Ranboo through time over and over in an attempt to make things better, to fix it and reset so that the people of the SMP can have their happy family-- but he can't affect the timeline anymore. That's Dream's role. DreamXD cannot, in any way, undo Dream's actions anymore. So he tries again, and again, and he wears out his vessels because they aren't built to hold the power of a god.

And Dream tries to take control of the entire SMP in a new way, because if he takes control again at least he can try to force them into one big happy family. If he can't predict their actions through reset after reset, then he'll force them through hostages.

I just think. It could be interesting.
