rant incoming: i've been thinking about this one mun who has gone through at least 5 different aliases in the past 2-3 years to re-join the same rp group they've been repeatedly asked to leave, has lied about their identity even when asked directly, and is now bringing their squad of 2-3 friends into the group as backup. thinking about how shady & disrespectful & rude you have to be to continually lie your way into a space you're very clearly not welcome. yes i'm angry

what   is   a   type   of   rp   that   you   really   want   to   see   made   ?

      like   what   the   previous   anons   said,   i   really   want   to   see   more   poc   only   and   lgbtq+   only   rps   being   made   !   this   can   go   into   all   types   of   genres.   supernatural,   multifandom,   city   /   town,   rich   kids,   skeleton   rps   and   so   much   more   !    just   a   group   where   the   ratio   doesn’t   consist   of   mostly   white   fcs   with   fcs   of   color   sprinkled   throughout

      oh   !   and   let’s   not   forget   groups   for   older   fcs   that   don’t   just   revolve   around   the   rpc’s   white   faves   ??   there’s   just   so   much   range   imo   ?   basically   just   groups   that   are   made   with   diverse   muses   in   mind.   i’ve   always   felt   that   groups   with   older   muses   have   so   much   more   range   than   your   standard   group   that’s   for   muses   aged   18   –   26.   write   muses   that   are   successful   in   their   career   or   muses   that   are   just   discovering   their   passion   or   muses   rediscovering   what   they   really   want   to   do   ??

#12 ; what makes you decide to leave / go inactive in a group ?

usually it's real life stuff happening or ooc drama. i can't stand ooc drama, especially when people are straight up being disrespectful already.

i like it when people are friendly. i usually scroll through the posts and if i like their posts a lot, or i get a really nice vibe from them, i find it easier to reach out to them.

i met ray in forums (invisionfree) back in 2006. she had an ad on caution to the wind, looking for co-admins. coincidentally, that was my very first admin experience. there, i also met noel and steph. the three of them were my first rpc friends. i met you in a tumblr rp in 2011? 2012? i will never forget georgie and genevieve, our twins. :') there's also amy who i met in that same rp. then eliza who is my rp bestie. i met her in 2010 through tsah rp, which i made with ray. we made a lot of friends there. like many of them i'm friends with on facebook and instagram, even if they don't rp anymore. and then there's my trust triangle, gen and jj. met them on twt rp late 2016 or early 2017? we still rp today and i have the most ships with jj, even if we don't really plot our muses to have a ship. our muses just have natural chem ig.

Quick threads, pls. I know a lot of people have mentioned it, but honestly, I’ve been lacking motivation so much recently and seeing 3+ paragraphs in a reply makes me draft it until i can give the thread the attention it deserves, but since I’ve been lacking motivation, I have to force myself to come back to the thread. Needless to say, it’s this endlessly vicious cycle that makes me not want to write even though I really want to write. I feel like shorter rapidfire threads would just help because they don’t take as much effort and they end, which is such a blessing.

Compatibility. I don’t really care about things like writing skills, but I really value a writing partner who is clearly committed to their muse, someone who puts care and effort into their muses and plots because then I feel like they’ll treat my babies with that same level of care and effort.

unpopular opinion: gif makers that will make large gifs & don’t allow people to edit their gifs shouldn’t be allowed to complain that the rpc isn’t diverse. yes karen ur the owner of ur gifs but maybe if you allowed people to crop your 1000 gifs of zoe kravitz she would actually become a popular fc? just saying.

[cont] i don’t even mean like, cropping and posting the gifs, i mean even for personal use? a lot of people don’t have time to make gifs but they can crop them to use in rps and the rpc would be so much more diverse if the people making gifs for poc would either make them smaller or allow people to crop them themselves.

what is your most controversial rp opinion ?

okay so i get this but i also think you can approach creators and discuss this u know what i mean?? we put a lot of time ( among other things ) into our gifs and i don't really think it's unreasonable to ask for proper recognition of that!

the only reason i would not want my gifs cropped and resized is because , as i have said from the beginning , i can’t see them when they’re small and have textures / psds on them. i want everyone to be able to see them and use them , everyone!! and i could also argue , why can you complain about no diversity when the size of the gif is more important than ur ability to use that fc? idk if that makes sense omg , but yeah just to kind of give u another perspective.

i get the sexism that runs in every place of society, but i don't really like all the posts going around that seem like they want to force you to play (specially in indie?) against females or using males. Like, i get it, you want to use your females. there are actually thousand of partners out there open to rp against females, if someone doesn't want to rp with you then that's just life

it’s true that not everyone isn’t going to write with every female muse , but anon i just don’t think it’s that simple . the truth is there is NOT as many people willing to write against females as u might think. the rpc isn’t just misogynistic but also SUPER heteronormative and the point of those posts going around isn’t to force you to write the male in f/m ships or whatever ( also force is kind of a strong word to use in this situation ) , they are telling you to stop deliberately ignoring and excluding female characters of your writing partners , in the tags and in group settings.

Controversial RP opinion: "once we get 10 apps we'll set an openings date!" This is fucking terrible for someone with ADHD like me. When I apply to an RP, it's because I'm fucking pumped and ready to go and I'm excited. If I have to wait for two weeks or even two months for any word or progress or anything to happen, I've... already moved on. I might not even remember the muse. My excitement is probably gone. I don't have the focus for that. Undoubtedly I'll be hyperfixating on something else.

I think there should be rules about using the group chat as like a personal diary and/or therapist— like obvs shits never gonna be completely on topic + being friendly is good, but when people start talking about how everyone hates them etc it’s crossing a line
