He held tickets tightly in his fingers, hidden behind his back as he whistled nonchalantly. Lucio slid in closer to the Mech pilot. It was the first time they’d been alone since, like, ever. Finally standing in front of her, he flashed a smirk. ❛ So you busy later? Because depending on your answer. I may or may not possibly have a gift for you. ❜

Humor Me
Drabbles | | > Accepting
Humor Me: I’ll write a funny drabble about our characters.
“Ready?”
“I was born ready.”
They both hadn’t gotten a break in weeks.
At least, in terms of escaping the watchpoint for anything other than missions. While Hanzo never particularly desired a vacation from his obligations, he never disliked getting away. Hana, naturally, couldn’t help but be excited. To Hanzo’s surprise, she’d invited him to accompany her to a “mission” that was much less taxing on the heart and mind.
The summer sun blazing, he steps with her into the busy fairgrounds - a carnival unlike any he’s ever seen. Of course, he hasn’t been to too may carnivals in his life, but the park before him exceeded any clichés he’d been aware of. However, Hana assures him that some stereotypes were entirely true.
“You know, these games they have all over the place? They’re notoriously impossible to beat,” her face is the epitome of serious, popping a bubble from the gum in her mouth and letting it pop. “Our mission: beat all of them.”
Arms crossed, Hanzo glances over the booths, most of them involving darts, purposely sabotages ring tosses and rebound games. His lips twitch at the sheer determination in the young woman’s voice, glancing down at her, dark eyes shielded by sunglasses.
“You understand they will resist us, correct?”
She smiles, slipping on pastel pink sunglasses, another bubble popping, “The people will know the truth,” her head lifts to look to him.
“Ready?”
A pause, then a twitching in his lips, cracking knuckles in an all-too determined fashion, “...I was born ready.”
They didn’t stand a chance.
Despite every obstacle barring them, no game could defeat them. The dart games proved trivial to Hanzo’s aim, as well as the must-despised ‘rebound’ game, his first attempt yielding a win with a soft ‘simple geometry’ leaving his lips on victory. Hana proved more then capable on the games requiring a simple trick of the trade - easily climbing an unbalanced ladder and nailing bottles on a ring toss.
Their mission more then a success, they leave the fair taking three trips to carry the incredible number of stuffed animals and prizes. Needless to say, more than a few fair goers recognized the infamous streamer among them. With a car full of animals, Hanzo’s getaway driving skills were tested as he screeched out of the parking lot, droves of fans only leaving them be once he’s on the road.
His eyes dart to Hana. She leaned back in her seat with a settled smile of victory on her lips, picking at cotton candy she somehow kept intact on the run to the car.
“You know,” her head turns, smiling. “You’re not as grumpy as they say you are.”
Still huffing from the expelled energy of hauling the car away, the elder Shimada manages a genuine, if small, smile.
“I like to surprise people.”

@dvamode liked THIS for a starter!
Inspiration : Darlin by Avril Lavinge
It happened a lot that Jesse was left to look upon the newest members of this half Overwatch with almost a sense of sadness and a sense of pride. He knew he was in war far too young, but he never knew much better. And it seemed even worse that most of these kids were famous. Watched by millions. At least with Blackwatch Jesse was rarely in real news articles, or interviewed.
It happened often that Jesse would offer a shoulder for these kids to lean on, he knew some of what they were going through. He would never think that their age made them weak, it just left them open to other attacks.
Which is how he ended up at Hana’s side, one arm loose around her shoulders that were covered by his serape. D.Va was a symbol, but it seemed most people forgot that there was a girl in there. A girl that still felt overloaded or pained. Jesse didn’t know what made her hurt this time. But he would be there all the same. He smiles down to her, lightly rocking them side to side.
“C’mon, honey, it’ll all be fine. Ol’ Jesse is here fer ya.”

“How is carrying around your bags worth my while?”
At least it made up for all the training that he was going to miss out on today, for her bags were anything but light. It was nothing he couldn’t handle, however, only occasionally shifting the bags in his hold to make the plastic handles cut less deep into the palms of his hands. When the short girl announced that it was only barely noon, the Shimada simply let out a quiet sigh.
“If it is noon, then perhaps it would be wise to take a lunch break. I doubt you will be done shopping any time soon, after all.”

@dvamode liked for a starter
She was just another girl. A girl like any other. Sure she may be a star starcraft player, and she is an actress, and she could pilot a mech. She wasn’t all that great. Just another pretty girl. To the green haired Genji—this was Hana Song. Just another normal girl that wouldn’t be able to help herself over his godlike charms. He was the most handsome guy to have ever lived, and his father was a powerful and rich man. He had been brought up with this all his life, so when meeting others that would be ‘out of the ordinary’ or ‘goddess’—he just saw them as another person.

“I’ve heard you’re a decent Starcraft player.” Genji started in order to break the ice. Another fancy party in another fancy suit and tie. He held a drink in a fancy glass, and he watched as the fancy people danced at their fancy party. His gaze moved from the crowd towards Hana. His tone was playful as he knew that Hana was the best at Starcraft, and his countenance had shown this as he smirked, and he leaned in closer to her. Not hovering—just a slight lean to let her know that she had the privilege an honor of holding his attention.
“Bet I can beat you.”

🔥 + dash discourse
The Dead Sea 2 - Electric Boogaloo
| | > Discourse is a funny thing because part of me wants to engage while the other (more reasonable) part convinces me that no debate is ever worth it on this website. Ever. You know why? Because someone always tromps in and calls every idiots who don’t share their opinion and has a god damn meltdown when the opposition has a well thought out counter to them. This results in what was once a pleasant debate being reduced to a childish, insecure screaming match between two or more people that refuse to be civil.
What I’m saying is I’m never satisfied because no one knows how to debate on this website. You just get called stupid for thinking a different way. So, I usually don’t engage publicly. If I have a problem I’ll find the closest friend and we’ll rant together about it.
The only time I may engage in discourse on the dash is if it directly affects a friend of mine, or I’m asked directly.
#Hᴀʀᴅʟʏ ᴀ Cʜᴀʟʟᴇɴɢᴇ {Asᴋ Aɴsᴡᴇʀᴇᴅ}#I'm pretty done with circular arguments with the immature people of this site#it's infuriating#dvamode
