Time for introductions! We adopted two new rescue bunnies, Poppy and Mabel. They are lionhead dwarf mixes, so they are the same size as Nocs. Mabel is pictured standing. She is very sweet and calm. Poppy is feisty and loves to sprint. How Big Does a Dwarf Hotot Grow?

When you get a Dwarf Hotot puppy, it will be a pure white color with a black spot around the eye. This is the "eye band," and it should be the width of two pennies placed together, and the eye should be visible. This breed has a distinctive head with a wide, bold face and short, rounded ears. The blaze on its head will grow back in the spring. During this period, the rabbit will shed its old fur.

The Dwarf Hotot is a very small and compact breed, weighing between 2.25 and 3.5 pounds. It has a broad skull and no visible neck. It has dark brown eyes with a thin black circle around the eye. Its ears are large and may not touch the body. The coat of this rabbit is short and dense with a soft, fluffy, and white faecal covering.

The Dwarf Hotot weighs between 2.25 to 3.5 pounds, making it a great indoor or outdoor pet. Although they are smaller than some other types of rabbits, you will need to supervise them if they are out of their hutches. It is advisable to keep an eye on their front teeth to prevent them from becoming chipped. In addition to this, you may want to provide them with hard chew toys to help with their teeth.

[9 May 2020] Vodka left 1728hours. My heart shattered. He’s so tiny at 750g and yet fighting so damn hard. His tiny heart couldn’t take it and even though there were so many rounds of resuscitation, the last round, they tried for 15 minutes before saying that he really is gone. I still vividly remember receiving a photo as I was sipping tea at some café in Osaka. That rabbit in the photo was Vodka and I immediately said that I’d take him. That was 12 April 2014 and he was just about 10days shy from his 1st Birthday. When I got back, I made sure to meet him. Sure, it was love at first sight for me but I think it wasn’t quite the case for him. I remember him disturbing one of the flemish giants the day I met him. But still, I took him home that day. I remember I didn’t bring a carrier but just carried him home in my arms. He was a sweet boy even then. Maybe it was that journey that won his heart over but he really was a charmer. Needless to say, there were many happy memories. I remember his tummy not being so great, even as far back as during CNY in 2015. But I’ve always thought that he had a sensitive stomach. Looking back, maybe it’s something chronic or already signs of what is to come? Soft stools seems to be a problem which came and went but that never dampened his spirits or his sweetness. He’s the friendliest and was accepting of any new bunny who joined. Sure, he had his jealous moments but he still had a BIGGG heart for everyone and everybun. Nearly everybunny grew bigger than him and some even bullied him (yes, Moonshine and Sake, I am looking at you). Vodka, I’m gonna miss you. It’s hard to get used to watching where I step in the room because you may be there. I’m gonna miss you shadowing me and sitting in between my feet. I’ll miss searching for you in my closet in case you hopped in to leave your fur everywhere on my clothes. Bunny Box Review #1 - Treats by Zuzu

The buns received their first bunny box in the mail today! Super excited to share our box with you all. 11/18/2017.

But first, a little about Treats by Zuzu

You can find them on Instagram or on their etsy page here 

Samantha, the owner, offers two options of boxes. Currently they are having a Christmas special, we ordered the Thanksgiving one! You could try the “Treats by Zuzu” box which includes strawberry, banana, carrot or a mix of all three flavored treats (30, 65 or 100 pieces), as well as a few Christmas gifts for the hoomins! Prices range from $5.99-$12.99 for this option. The second box Samantha offers is called “The Bunny Box” for $23.99. This box has the same organic treats listed above, as well as, a scented candle, bunny chew sticks and toy, bunny stickers and pendant and LED Christmas lights! Here are a couple pictures of each box:

Treats by Zuzu has excellent ratings online and has grown about 400 Instagram followers just this week!

Now - time for the review. 

We purchased the “Treats by Zuzu” box with 30 organic mixed treats!

Packaging - Super cute! Everything was wrapped nicely so nothing would damage during shipping. The thank you note with ice cream cones was adorable, can’t wait to add that to our love note wall! If you’d like to send us a letter, please message us on Instagram !

Website - Love etsy! So user friendly and easy to use. If you are looking for organic treats, Zuzu has you covered. Right now, they are offering a free custom made ornament with your bunnies name on it, perfect for Christmas.

Price - We paid $4.99 for 30 treats and $3.00 for shipping. This is very comparable to the price of treats sold locally here.

Speed - We placed our order late Saturday night and got our package the following Friday! So happy we got it just in time for Thanksgiving. Super speedy!

Treats - The treats themselves look bunny delicious! The small pieces make them a quick and easy snack for the buns. Being organic, I can trust that my bunnies are eating a nice, healthy snack. Princess Midnight snatched her treat right out of my hand! These would be good treats to use if you are training your bunny to do something.

Extras - Each box by Zuzu has a few items for the owner. We got an adorable Thanksgiving mug and candy corn! The thank you note will be displayed on our love wall!

Recommendation - You should totally follow their Instagram page, as well as, place an order! I would recommend saving up and buying the bigger bunny box. I love that each box has a theme and I can’t wait to see what she has to offer in the future!
