40's!Stucky Headcanon:

Bucky's always going out with girls and trying to set Steve up with girls as well, we all know that

Steve absolutely hates it because even if he had an interest in the girls, they would never like him back, and he's actually completely in love with Bucky and hates seeing him with girls all the time

What Steve doesn't know is that Bucky is also in love with him and the girls he goes out with actually know he's gay for his best friend and he enlists their help in trying to figure out if Steve feels that for him back or not and as soon as Steve's no longer around, Bucky and the girls just start whispering and gossiping about Steve and trying to decipher every single thing that Steve did in his interactions with each of them

Just imagine, like:

Bucky groaned in exasperation, closing his eyes as he flops down against the back of the booth.

"He does that like, everytime we're in public together, there's no way to know for sure he meant anythin' by it!" He exclaimed.

Savannah snickered at him and Rosie shook her head, disagreeing.

"No, I'm serious, Bucky! Were you seein' the same person I was?" The brunette asked him.

"C'mon, Rose, it's not like that." Bucky insisted.

"Bucky, he was practically hangin' off your arm at one point, how can you say it isn't like that?"

Bucky scoffed.

"Buck, you're the one who wants him to be in love with you, I don't know why you keep denyin' all the signs we keep tellin' you are clearly there." Savannah stated matter-of-factly, taking a casual sip of her milkshake through the straw afterwards.

Rosie grinned. "Sav has a point, y'know."

Bucky sighed, leaning forward and pressing his forehead against the cold table. He looked up again when the bell rang above the door, indicating someone coming into the little diner. He was prepared to straighten himself up but relaxed when he realized it was just Maggie.

Maggie came over and slid into the booth beside Bucky. "Sorry I'm late, what did I miss?" She asked.

Rosie smirked. "The conclusion has been reached that Steve at the very least has some feelins' for Bucky, though signs most likely point to full on love. But he refuses to believe us."

Savannah let out a long, dramatic sigh as Maggie turned narrowed eyes to Bucky.

"And he knows that when he goes home and tells Rebecca about what happened tonight, she's gonna be tellin' 'im the same thing we did." Savannah pointed out.

"And then what? Still gonna deny it? Bucky, learn to have faith in us girls, we know what we're talkin' about, despite what the majority of the world may think." Maggie stated, trusting the judgment of the other two. If they say little Stevie has feelings for Bucky, then it must be true. She knew Rosie would catch her up on every detail later when they were at home.

Bucky looked between the three of them, shaking his head. "I just don't wanna get it wrong," He said softly, uncertainly. "What if I tell 'im how I feel and he turns away from me because he doesn't actually feel the same way? I just don't wanna risk losin' 'im. I wanna know for sure." He admitted, looking down at his hands.

The three girls exchanged looks before sighing. Maggie grabbed Bucky's arm and laced her own arm through it, leaning her head on his shoulder.

"We know that, B. We just want you to be happy and we know that Steve makes you happy. We want you to have your love, just as we each have ours." Maggie said softly.

Bucky took a deep breath and leaned his head against Maggie's, taking her hand and lacing their fingers together. "I know, Mags. I just need to go about it the right way." He said, looking across the booth as Savannah lifted up Rosie's hand and kissed her knuckles affectionately.

"I'll figure it out eventually." He said, more to himself than anyone else. "I will."

AND SCENE

That became much more than I expected, but I'm not really complaining, tbh

1.) Yes, Rosie and Savannah are lesbian girlfriends

2.) Maggie and Rosie are sisters

3.) Owner of the diner is a closeted gay dude so he's pretty chill

4.) Bucky is sad soft boi, he just wants to love Steve and have Steve love him back :(

5.) Maggie was out on a date with her boyfriend, George, before she showed up at the diner

6.) Bucky's pretty close with these 3, he thinks of them as his sisters, so he's pretty affectionate with them, too

Not me considering writing a Lucifer AU where Lucifer DOESNT be completely absent from Rory's childhood because Lucifer deserves to be the amazing father he is and help Chloe raise Rory and be Trixie's stepfather and be an amazing uncle to Charlie and I love the ending they gave us but I also really need Lucifer to stay on Earth for Rory's childhood qt the very least, honestly

Train Wreck (*MAJOR TW*)

Sooooo, this is story poem that’s revolving around Bucky Barnes. I was inspired to write it while listening to the song, you guessed it, Train Wreck by James Arthur.

Summary: Bucky’s been spiraling down a dark rabbit hole for a long time now. He’s at his worst and darkest moment. And that’s when he makes a decision that no one’s around to stop him from making.

It’s now that he wonders

What if it was different?

What if I went a different way?

Too late to look back

It’s cold

So cold

His mind is frozen

Nothing is processing

Why was it so far down?

His life isn’t flashing by

He isn’t reliving his best moments

He isn’t thinking of happy times

He doesn’t imagine holding those he loves again

He thinks of the darkness

He sees the last time he fell this far

Physically

His metaphorical fall was a completely different thing

He remembers it now

So clearly

The cold

Ice and snow everywhere

The wind whipped so hard it burned

The rattle of the tracks

As the train steered around the mountain

And his friend

His friend so desperate to save him

His own screams had echoed throughout that canyon

But now

Now everything was silent

So cruel of the universe

He spends so much time with too much noise

The moment he decides to take action

Is when the sudden silence is suffocating

He knows the moment of impact as soon as it happens

It’s so different then how it was before

The fall was mostly the same

But the landing was almost the complete opposite

The moment his body hit the ground

Destroyed in so many different places now

He knew this much

His entire body was on fire

Such a contrast to the solid ice he knew before

His eyes were wet

He wasn’t sure what made them that way

But that was warm too

What the biggest difference was

The thing that surprised him the most

Was the absolute sense of dread

That surrounded him

Why am I still here?

He wasn’t supposed to still be here

Last time he fell

He was trying to stay alive

But this time

This was all wrong

I’m trying to die

Why can’t you just let me die?

He felt a sob bubble up in this throat

It tried to strangle it’s way out

But all that escaped was a blood filled whimper

And that’s when the noise returned

People yelling

Feet hitting the ground as they ran

Scrambling to do something

Sirens were coming

How long had he been there already?

He couldn’t tell

Seconds

Minutes

Hours

He didn’t really care

His vision was clouded

But light pierced his view of the stars

Red and blue and yellow

Flickering all around him

Lights were shined above

He could barely feel anything

Hands were ghosting over his broken body

He just wanted the fire he felt to devour him

For the flames to lick up every piece of his existence

This world had no more place for him

So why did it insist on keeping him here?

He felt himself floating again

Sometime later he was somewhere new

Softer

But still on fire

But now everything was heavy

He felt like lava was being poured over him

Thick

Heavy

Okay I need opinions-

So, I have a few fic ideas and I wanna know which one y’all want sooner rather than later. I have about 4 fics I wanna try and get out soon, but besides that, I need y’all’s opinions of which you like best vs least out of the following, also, anything with a question mark means I haven’t decided and/or would like to know if you have a different suggestion: 1.) Wait, based off of the song by Maroon 5. Bucky(?) x (male or female or?) reader. Basically, they get into a really bad fight and the reader walks out and leaves for a few days. Bucky(?), in not hearing from the reader for that whole time, no matter how much he called and texted, assumes it’s just over between them and leaves, ending up out of state or even out of country. When the reader finally returns, he’s completely gone, and they go a year or two without any contact or seeing each other at all. The reader eventually moves on with Steve(?) and Bucky(?) gets invited to the reader and Steve(?)’s engagement party and in arriving, he tries to talk with the reader and convince them not to go through with it, and tells them that he still wants them, still loves them, and misses them extremely. Happy ending or angsty ending? 2.) Darlin’, Sebastian Stan fic, x (male or female or?) reader, Sebastian is having a rough time dealing with all of the hate and everything coming his way and his mental health and mindset are getting really bad and you’re comforting him and helping make him feel better and reassuring him.

3.) Say you won’t let go, kinda based off of the song, if a female (at least physically) reader, then maybe “i’m pregnant” and extra happy fluff towards the end?? Probably Bucky Barnes?? Lemme know what kind of reader is preferred, just like the other two, lmao

Kind of a little drabble thing

Oop, emotional angsty with MAYBE happy ending (who am I kidding, I’m too soft for no happy endings) short fic based off of the song Jet Black Heart by 5SOS where Bucky doesn’t want the reader to get caught up with his mess and everything that he goes through and the reader is trying to convince him that they don’t care because they wanna be with Bucky and help him and take care of him and help show him what love is for once but he’s still so uncertain and he’s gonna end up crying and breaking down and pouring his heart out because despite all of his fears he still just loves the reader so much and he doesn’t wanna be without them and he needs them so much because they’re the only one who truly helps him get through things and then maybe at the end, they fall asleep together for the first time since they’ve known each other and Bucky wakes up in the middle of the night not because of a nightmare but because he DIDN’T have a nightmare and he’s so confused and then he realizes that the reader kept his nightmares away and he starts crying again and the reader wakes up and asks what’s wrong and he just pulls them close and holds them tightly in his arms with his face buried in their hair saying how much he loves them and how they make everything better and he’s never gonna let them go and eventually tells them that they kept the nightmares away and no one’s ever been able to do that before and the reader realizes then why he was crying and then they start crying because they just appreciate him so much and hate that he was so surprised over NOT having nighttime trauma and then they pull him close and they cuddle him like the big sweet little puppy dog that he is and they cry together until they fall back asleep again for the night and it’s just so sweet but also very painful and it just sounds so amazing and I swear I have to make a full short story out of this now 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺😭😭😭😭😭💜💜💜💜💜
