Akira-edu, Schools for Dyslexia children’s follows its orgin to the St Andrews School Hyderabad, the exercises of which spring around to conferring academic abilities to children’s, in especially to those student with explicit learning disabilities. We are knowledgeable about managing, student with learning difficulties, slow learners and ADHD children’s. These youngsters may find extremely hard to read, write, spell and in math, when compared with similar age group. Applying remedial teaching based on learning needs and capability of various students, with the group of trained teachers, psychologist, social works and with best procedures.
What is Dyslexia!
Who is this child?
A child with average or above average intelligence.
A child who has the potential but whose academic achievement does not match it.
A child who has a gap between oral and written skills.
A child who has an erratic performance and "on" days and "off" days.
A child who sometimes has more strengths in non- academic areas than the academic areas.
Characteristics of Dyslexia
Imperfect Spelling
Difficulty telling right from left
Bad handwriting
Awkward positioning of hand while writing
Letter and word reversals; confused between ‘b’ and ‘d’ or ‘no’ and ‘on’
Might see text as jumping around on a page
Inconsistent spelling of the same word
Difficulties in math’s, logic and time
Number reversals: mixing up of 59 and 95
Difficulty in writing down what is heard like messages to be written down.
Difficulty in saying the months of the year forward fluently
Slow reader
Inability to remember names and words, short-term or long- term memory deficiencies.
Difficulty in following oral instructions involving multiple instructions.
What is not Dyslexia!
It is not a vision problem though visual processing could be affected.
It is not a hearing problem though auditory processing could be affected.
It is not a problem with cognition though the child is often seen as a slow learner.
It is not a result of any primary emotional disturbance.
It is not the result of inadequate schooling.

To create awareness among the general public, schools and social institutions about this little known condition called Dyslexia
To create awareness about the fact that streaks of genius in other walks of life could exist side by side with Dyslexia
To arouse interest in the educationists, professionals and teachers to help in preparing these children not only for examinations but also to meet all the challenges of life
To bring to the notice of the education authorities the need for a different examination criteria for these children
To work towards establishing remedial centres in regular schools
To conduct training programmes for individuals interested in teaching children with dyslexia
To provide a support system for parents
To hold seminars and workshops to propagate knowledge in this field
