Oblivious || Seohyun & Jinyoung

It was like a cartoon. Sun shining, birds chirping, kids laughing, picnics everywhere. Seohyun loved visiting Jingun Park, it was so beautiful and relaxing. Stepping onto the stone pathway that wound through the park, she breathed in the fresh air. A blue checkered blanket and some books were tucked under her arm, as she had dedicated the day to simply sitting in the shade and reading a nice novel or two. Two little girls on scooters zoomed past her, giggling with each other. An annoyed looking older boy ran after them, yelling at them to stop. Smiling to herself, Seohyun kept an eye out for a place to sit down. 

Ignoring the teenage boys who yelled cat-calls at her, she finally spotted the perfect place to settle. A big oak tree, off the side of the road, with a decent amount of shade underneath it. The gaps in the leaves cast light into the shade, making it very beautiful in Seohyun's opinion. Stepping onto the grass, her feet led her to the cool spot underneath the tree. Kneeling down, she placed her books on the ground gently and spread out the blue blanket. Tucking in her summer dress, she sat down, leaning against the tree. Seohyun picked up the books, and placed them on her lap before taking a glance at the surrounding area.

It was perfect. People were around having fun, but they weren't too loud and annoying. She loved just sitting around doing nothing, taking a break from studying or reading scripts. She never really had any time to relax, so today was a welcome break.

Sighing happily, she opened up the first book in her pile, which was some old mystery novel from the 1960s. Her mother had sent it to her, telling her it was interesting enough to read. So far it was quite good, seeing as how Seohyun normally hated mystery books. She had just finished reading the first chapter when somebody sat directly in front of her. Glancing up, surprised, she saw it was a handsome boy who looked a year or two older than her.
