Is your recent Eadith & Eardwulf post supposed to be romantic? Because some of the lyrics/quotes imply that. And the second last photo is a bit hey hey 😬

They're SIBLINGS! Why am I seeing some posts imply differently...and some fics too, its disgusting. Especially the way that he treated her. He was abusive and toxic towards Eadith and put her in uncomfortable positions. He was a awful brother! Why are some people excusing that and downplaying how freaking abusive he was and changing his personality in fics to a "loving" brother...

Okay so I am going to assume you are being serious and not ironic or sarcastic.

I personally don't ship Eadith and Eardwulf. I think they have a really interesting, toxic dynamic which I thought suited the lyrics of the song. I have no agenda here. But if people want to interpret it as romantic I am 100% cool with that. I left it open to interpretation.

The lyrics I chose are from a song which is about a romantic relationship, however I think the lyrics work either way. And the second last photo you refer to is a screen from the show, I haven't altered it at all apart from the colours and cropping it a little so not sure why that's my problem.

We are all fully aware they are siblings but this is fiction, not real life. I suggest you chill out. I read/write stories which include things like rape and murder, me doing this is not me saying it's okay in real life.

I don't think you understood the song I chose if you think I am excusing Eardwulf or downplaying how abusive and toxic he was. The lyrics are literally about the man forcing the woman to do too much/things she's not comfortable with and manipulating her, and the woman wondering if the 'love' they have is really worth it. I personally think the line 'for someone I thought was my saviour, you sure make me do a whole lot of labour' suits them and their toxic relationship (either sibling or romantic) very well = he's her brother, someone she thinks she can trust and yet he's asking/forcing her to do all this shit for him.

You really did not need to send in this ask. If you don't like what I have made, keep scrolling. Ignore it. If you have a problem with me, block me. I don't care. Coming into my asks and whining about me 'excusing' abuse and incest in a fictional relationship which has no effect on the real world when if you had any kind of reading comprehension or critical thinking you'd know that wasn't what I was doing at all is frankly childish and you should grow up.

going through season 4, and gosh, i feel for eadith having to sleep with aethelred due to the actions of her horrible brother....
