Eccotober 2022 Day 3: Singers

An illustration for my personal favourite of my old Ecco drabbles, "The Pod of Earth." When the Asterite summons the Singers, I always imagined it summoning all the marine cetaceans of Earth to assault the New Machine, not just the bottlenose dolphins.

Species featured: Sperm whale, pilot whale, beluga, fin whale in the middle background, and an orca's dorsal fin in the foreground. The background also has a narwhal, some variety of psuedorca, and a Commerson's dolphin mixed in with the bottlenoses.

Eccotober 2022 Day 5: Natural Beauty As dangerous as the far north is for a tropical Singer like Ecco, there is a certain beauty to it. And I always liked those limited moments of familiarity, like the little pockets in the ice where you can find familiar small fish.

Hey hey hey, it's Drawtober prep time! I've been meaning to do an Ecco-themed Drawtober one of these years, and this year, the 30th anniversary, seems the time. It's very Genesis-mainline-focused because that's what I'm into. Feel free to modify it if you're more into Defender or would like to include some Ecco Jr. in there! This is what I will be working with, though.

Happy Drawtober! This year I decided to draw up a month of Ecco the Dolphin prompts from the Genesis games, celebrating Eccotober for Ecco's 30th anniversary.

…Also it bothered me slightly how Linktober 2021 by itself made Zelda overtake Ecco in my numbers of works on AO3, so turnabout is fair play. : -p

Day One is the scourge of the Vortex, sung of as Earth's hero in all the seas, the Stone That Splits The Stream of Time himself.
