Team Soulfire is shaped by snow and ice. It’s something Fit learns to deal with after Green Gay Ninjas are dissolved and leave their jungle territory behind.

This might be helping, though, he thinks as they sit together in the underground base, and gives Pac’s fingers a little squeeze. Pac smiles and squeezes back. The mugs of Tina’s tea are warm, and so is Pac’s hand in his.

Soon, they will return to worrying about tasks, and being hunted and killed by their friends on the opposite team. But for now, this is nice; the shared warmth a brief respite.

He wasn’t out that long, he just slept a bit weird. The Feds didn’t do anything to him. He’s fine. It’s fine.

Pac doesn’t think he’s doing it on purpose. Maybe he isn’t doing it at all, and it’s just Pac’s brain overinflating things. But whenever he looks away from Cellbit, he imagines he can feel eyes boring into him – and those eyes in particular, too. That same cold blue that he sees in his nightmares. Cell’s eyes.

The day after the Risus potion cure, Pac doesn't want to be alone. Cellbit keeps him company.

After Mike rescues Pac from the underwater prison, he and Fit provide Pac with much-needed comfort and care.

It's a clear, starry night. Pac lies on the cold ground, staring blankly into the sky.

Stars don't go to prison, or have their legs eaten. Stars burn too hot to be touched, and they're far, far away.

Cell shifts in his sleep. Pac stills. Flight, fight, freeze. He is prey, and he cannot run. The badly rewrapped stump of his leg pounds, a dull ache.

Pac is no star. Pac went to prison, and his leg is gone, and he is still close, far too close, to Cell.

Stars are free; but down here, Pac is small, and trapped.

Fit, Pac, Phil and Missa make an arrangement together, and enjoy the pleasant aftermath.
