Maeglin in gondolin (and curufin laughing at eol)

That comic of Maeglin and Aredhel in Gondolin just grabbed me by the heart for so many reasons!

The art is gorgeous and the style is really not jumbled as you see it (maybe you've been just staring at it too long lol).

THANK YOU for the Ecthelion cameo, my die-hard hc is that Thel and Aredhel have been friends since childhood. In the version where he is one of her escorts who loses her in Nan Dungortheb KILLS me! So he would be ecstatic to see her again, alive and well and with a new son!

Also, that meeting between Curufin and Eol, god, it's just a powerful and underrated canon moment. I think it really contributes to Eol's behavior when he meets Turgon. Because Curufin going "By the laws of the Eldar I may not slay you at this time" and 5 minutes later Turgon telling him "This choice only is given to you: to abide here, or to die here; and so also for your son." It makes me shiver.

I never draw gondolin folks so the comic was super outside of my comfort zone ahhh i'm so thankful for your message, it really reassured me!

The meeting between Eol and curufin is constantly on my mind...... eol being put into place by an in universe character (and curufin out of all people) is so so FUN and satisfying but at the same time: bittersweet and heartbreaking knowing that he could have prevented aredhel's death (especially when you hc celegorm, aredhel and curufin to have been close friends in their youth💔)
