As the 2019 festival season begins, it’s time to saturate our Instagram feeds with PLUR (peace, love, unity, respect) vibes to gain inspiration from our favorite rave gurus. It’s no secret that rave influencers have a mammoth presence in the community, but what other accounts can you follow to make sure that festival fun always floods your feeds?

We’re here with some of our most seasoned rave veterans—the girls and models of @GirlsGoneRave (GGR)—to help you choose the perfect social media accounts to get hyped for this year’s festivities! These are the top brands, festivals, and artists that our women follow to stay in the loop.

TOP 10 OVERALL

While our overall top 10 list was dominated by seven rave apparel brands, event hosting behemoth, Insomniac, and its staple festival, EDC, snuck their way in alongside cult favorite artist, Excision. This perfectly encapsulates what our girls find most integral to the rave community…fashion, artists, and, of course, the festivals themselves.

TOP 10 RAVE FASHION PAGES

It’s not a surprise that rave fashion brands are at the top of our list. After all, these outfits build our self-esteem and showcase our creative juices. A staggering percent of over 60% of our 1076 GGR girls followed iHeartRaves (@iheartraves), proving its indisputable status as the go-to for all festival fashion, and with their recently released plus-size line, this juggernaut is looking anything but stoppable. 

TOP 10 RAVE ESSENTIALS

Now that you know where to find your dazzling outfits with money to spare, it’s time to scour accessories and makeup to add that extra special wow factor. From glitter to makeup and light toys, the top 10 list has it all, including Vibedration hydration and fanny packs as the top pick.

TOP 10 FESTIVALS

Of course, a cute look is useless if you have nowhere to show it off. It’d be ridiculous to look at the rave community without paying homage to the festivals themselves. Insomniac held the coveted third spot on our Top 10 Overall list and six of its raves with their combo of headbanging tunes and phenomenal production value have made their way onto our 10 most followed festivals. 

TOP 10 SHOUTOUT / MEME PAGES

When talking about the power of social media, the recent prevalence of rave-centric shout out and meme pages cannot go unnoticed. These pages allow the people they feature to create both parasocial and social relationships, further strengthening ties all across the rave community and allowing people to connect with one another in ways like never before. While shout out pages, like @girlravers and @edmbabes_, monopolized the first slots, meme pages, like @edmlifestyle, trailed closely behind.

TOP 10 ARTISTS

What would a music festival be without its headliners dropping beats? We’re rounding out our Top 10 lists with where it all began—the artists. Aside from rave fashion accounts, artists are the most followed rave Instagram category among our members.
