Brown University students are launching an indefinite hunger strike for Palestine

they are asking for their university to divest from companies profiting from the genocide in gaza and openly call for a ceasefire and will not eat until the university governing bodies hears and considers a divestment resolution. if you are not familiar with the physical toll a hunger strike takes on the body, it might be worth looking up to get a better sense of what a significant action these students are taking. the university's highest governing body is having their first meeting of 2024 on february 8-9th so let's rally around them to muster even more pressure on brown university.

People always talk about how the discovery of the fairy-type as if everyone should've just noticed that iron tail did more damage to a Clefairy than normal. But even ignoring the multiverse implications of the type's existence, I think people kind of ignore how hard it would be to determine types in-universe?

Like imagine you're some professor out in the field. You have to determine if that Clefairy getting smacked in the face with iron tail Looked More Painful than the Meowth you saw getting hit with it earlier. If it did, is it because the Clefairy has some kind of secret type you didn't know about, or is it because Meowth is actually part steel-type due to the coin on its head?

And that's not even getting into the fact that you don't even know how many types there are to begin with, because that's just something that's been determined by field observations. You just know that there's a Professor Weed out there somewhere advocating for the existence of a Clown-Type
