So... I'm sure other people have had similar ideas, but I have to brain dump. So like what if every single dragonborn returns to Akatosh when they die? (except for talos because he was special) Regardless of what deal with Daedra they make, or what they do in life. They are basically sentient hunks of Akatosh and return to him when they die. That's why Hermaeus Mora kept Miraak alive in Apocrypha because he knew if Miraak died then he'd lose his prize (because it's kind of his shtick to know forbidden knowledge). Miraak was basically Akatosh going "Alduin is getting a little too big for his scales Imma make someone who can take him down" and then Miraak immediately went "oooo power, and yes Mr. Mora I'll come to you for more knowledge" and refused to deal with Alduin. Kynareth (probably annoyed) then gave humans the ability to learn the voice and instructed Paartytothemax to deal with it and the whole Elder Scroll thing happened so Akatosh had time to tweak the formula. Akatosh binds the dragon blood and soul to an actual human bloodline via St. Alessia and we get the Septims. Centuries later now we have "The Last Dragonborn" as is the PC's title in the game. They are an Heir to the Septim bloodline (because Martin Setpim fucks, this is cannon) and the Septims were the Dragonborn Emperors. Martin basically becomes Akatosh at the end of Oblivion in order to fight off Dagon so Akatosh is just like "fuck this it ends here" and The Last Dragonborn knows they are 100% the last one, Akatosh basically told them directly. So you have this dragonborn who is hyper aware that there are huge world altering things at stake. Akatosh is much more directly involved with this Last Dragonborn, speaking to them in dreams. He kind of has to be because they're detached from any kind of family and anyone who knew who they were is long gone. It's Dragon Dad Akatosh and his anxious ball of dragon rage against the world.

just saw a post by goobiestar where tigerclaw has been put on babysitting duty and they doodled him surrounded by tiny babies thinking "i cant believe bluestar is making me babysit a bunch of drooling pathetic whiny pieces of--" and with bonefall tigerstar being a genuinely good dad (at least when his babies were tiny) i have this image in my head of firepaw imagining this is what's happening and then it cuts to tigerclaw calmly playing teeterstrike with the babies

I'm telling a super different story from the other guys in my orbit LMAO, I've noticed that also. A lot of my.... fellow satellites? Companion Comets. Peripheral Planets. Lean into the comedy angle of Tigerclaw being a nasty little boy

I especially love that one comic (I think it's Blimbo?) Where he sees his younger sibs and just starts kitty-smacking them like a real cat lmao. Top tier. If the punchline is "KITTY SMACK" you'll kill me every time.

But yah BB!Tigerclaw is really important to understand as like... a guy. Just a shitty guy, has some good things about him, but ultimately the darkness within him is run-of-the-mill. He isn't special. Firestar comes to understand that any one of the dozens of assholes in his life could have become Tigerstar-- and that's TERRIFYING.

Evil is mundane and common. Goodness is complicated and unique.

I'm writing this with tears trailing down my cheeks that this might be my last time working on the AU 😔. I have made too much shitpost and sent Uber cringy undertale memes and now a decision is made that I might have to part from the team for the sake of Uber's sanity. Going to see more open houses today. They aren't as fun or weird or exciting as the hometown midcentury... These are more your standard 80s suburban sprawl, but there's some promise in the older neighborhoods with lots of trees and quirky home businesses nearby.

I do feel like I'm being pushed to make this big move before baby arrives. I just have this feeling that a window is closing with regards to my dad's health, and I want to get him under my roof ASAP so I can make sure he doesn't get worse. We want lots of grandpa around. I may in fact be mothering two humans by the end of the year.
