Introduction to Low-Frequency Inverters by Costa Power Industries Pvt. Ltd
Tumblr media
For those who are unaware, the purpose of an off-grid inverter is simple, yet incredibly important for anyone who is looking to set up an off-grid or back up power system, including solar powered systems. Inverters convert the DC power stored within a battery (direct current, 12V, 24V or 48V) into AC power (alternating current, 230-240V) that can be used to run your household items and electrical appliances, from fridges to televisions to mobile phone chargers. Inverters are an essential item for anyone without access to a mains power source, as they can easily provide a plentiful amount of electricity.
Inverters come in many different shapes and sizes, and vary in a diverse amount of ways. There are two main contrasting characteristics between different types of off-grid inverter. Costa power is Inverter Dealer in Mumbai as well as Inverter supplier in Mumbai and all parts of India. We specially believe and distributors for Luminous Inverter dealer and Luminous inverter battery dealer along with Microtek inverter Dealer and Microtek Inverter battery dealer in Mumbai and across India.
The type of power output, categorized by which sine wave it uses – modified or pure sine wave. Photonic Universe only stocks pure sine wave inverters, which are more efficient and have a broader range of suitable appliances they can power, compared to modified sine wave inverters.
What internal frequency the inverter circuits operate at – low frequency or high frequency (not to be confused with AC power output frequency which is a standard 50Hz for our inverters).
We are pleased to add low-frequency inverters to our catalogue, and this article is going to help anyone who is looking to buy an inverter find out whether a low-frequency inverter is right for them, so that they can make an informed and confident purchase.
Low-frequency inverters have the advantage over high-frequency inverters in two fields: peak power capacity, and reliability. Low-frequency inverters are designed to deal with higher power spikes for longer periods of time than high-frequency inverters. Power spikes can occur for a number of reasons (e.g. devices like power tools, pumps, vacuum cleaners and other appliances with electric motors require high starting power); when inverters experience such spikes, they can endure the increased power for a short period of time before shutting down in order to prevent any damage being done to them. Low-frequency inverters have much greater peak power capacity to handle large loads with power spikes than high-frequency inverters. In fact, low-frequency inverters can operate at the peak power level which is up to 300% of their nominal power level for several seconds, while high-frequency inverters can operate at 200% power level for a small fraction of a second. The second main difference is reliability: low-frequency inverters operate using powerful transformers, which are more reliable and sturdy than the high-frequency inverter’s MOSFETs, which use electronic switching and more prone to damage, particularly at high power levels.
Costa Power always believe in quality and after sales service so In addition to these qualities, low-frequency inverters come with a wide range of technical features and capabilities which most high-frequency inverters lack; these include a built-in battery charger; UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) functions; by-pass mode with no battery connected; power saving mode; various charge settings (like different battery types and charging voltages). And we believe these protection are available in Luminous inverter in Mumbai and as such in Microtek inverter in Mumbai.
In terms of other differences, low frequency inverters are designed for large off-grid power systems and are more suitably equipped for powerful appliances; therefore, they are typically within the high power category of inverter, with their power levels normally within the thousands, typically 2000W-3000W and above (high frequency inverters are also available in lower power categories such as 300W, 600W, 1000W, 1500W etc.) In addition, in most cases low frequency inverters do not include mains power sockets – they come with terminals where AC wires should be connected which then connect to mains sockets.
Low-frequency inverters are not ideal for everyone; they’re very large and are considerably heavier than high-frequency inverters, and would be best suited for those who either are building an off-grid power system with no significant power restrictions, or who run powerful appliances and devices with electric motors like power tools, washing machines, vacuum cleaners and air conditioners. Low-frequency inverters are also best suited for those who want to power various kitchen appliances such as refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers and ovens.
Enhanced peak performance capacity and improved reliability of low frequency inverters mean that they cost more than high frequency inverters. If you do not consume a lot of energy and you only have small appliances that you need to power, or you have limited space for an inverter, then a high frequency inverter would be more suitable for you.
All above discussed topics are tested by our experts and technician and so preferring for the requirement best inverter supplier in Mumbai for home and office use. We proud ourselves as top inverter dealer and best inverter supplier in Mumbai region along with inverter battery in Mumbai.

Asia shares edge higher on hopes for more stimulus
Asian shares edged higher today as a disappointing U.S. payrolls report promised to keep policy there super-loose for longer, but also clouded the outlook for global growth and inflation, Reuters reported.
A holiday in the United States made for thin conditions and kept MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan to a small gain of 0.2%, though that was the highest since late July, the report noted.
Japan’s Nikkei added 1.7%, extending a rally on hopes a new prime minister there would bring added fiscal stimulus. Chinese blue chips gained 1.3% amid speculation Beijing would also be adding stimulus through fiscal and monetary policy.

Aerobility to Expand Fleet with Former MOD Vigilant T1 Gliders
Tumblr media
The MOD’s Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) organisation has sold 63 decommissioned Vigilant T1 aircraft to Aerobility, an UK-based charity which provides flying experiences to those with disabilities and injured ex-military personnel. The first batch of 10 motor gliders will be modified and refurbished by German company GROB Aircraft SE – the original manufacturer and Design Authority – to meet civil certification standards. The remaining aircraft will be engineered and recertified in the UK, where the charity has identified a qualified engineering partner in Southern Sailplanes, based in West Berkshire. Hampshire-based Aerobility will initially more than double its fleet with eight Vigilants thanks to a grant from the Department for Transport (DfT); meaning they will be able to help about 2,600 people into the air every year compared to 1,000 currently.
Tumblr media
Clive Walker, head of the Defence Equipment Sales Authority (DESA) in DE&S, said, “I am very pleased to see the RAF Vigilant T1 gliders move on to a new lease of life, in particular supporting the excellent work of Aerobility in creating flying experiences and opportunities for those who might otherwise never get the chance to fly.” Glider modifications will include new engines, propellers and refurbished cockpits, and the charity hopes the first glider will be ready to fly in the summer of 2021. Aircraft that aren’t used for flights will be refurbished and sold to generate revenue for the charity, pay for the ongoing costs of their operational fleet and help them branch out into other parts of the British Isles. Aerobility’s CEO, Mike Miller-Smith MBE, said, “Acquiring these aircraft will help us transform the lives of an even greater number of disabled people by giving them the unrivalled sense of freedom through the magic of flight. We are extremely grateful to the Ministry of Defence, Department for Transport and our various partners for supporting us in this ambitious project. Not only will it help us build capacity for our future operations, it will enable us to expand the charity to support more disabled people and to do so at additional locations around the UK.” The sale will create four full-time engineering jobs, one project management role and one administration position at the charity. They will also need a full-time co-ordinator and a part-time flying instructor, with all positions being filled by candidates with a disability where possible. The cutting edge fabricating industry couldn't get by without one fundamental instrument: modern air blowers. This sheltered, strong bit of hardware permits makers in different fields to accomplish their work adequately. Here's the ticket...
Different Categories and Models of Industrial Air Compressors Make Manufacturing Possible
In the event that you've at any point expanded your vehicle's tires at a service station or utilized canned air to clean your console, you've utilized rearranged forms of compacted air. On a more fantastic scope, nonetheless, modern air blowers make probably the biggest assignments possible. There are a few unique sorts of air blowers, each with shifting sizes and force supplies – enough to fill an inflatable cushion or gracefully pressurized air to a huge assembling office.
For the most part, air blowers are assembled into three classes regarding capacity: purchaser grade, proficient evaluation and modern evaluation. To the extent configuration goes, there are two fundamental models makers depend on: the responding cylinder and the turning screw. Whatever the model, these strong, solid machines require considerably less upkeep than electric apparatuses .
These air blower have Developed Over Time as Industrial Needs Have Progressed
Prior to the improvement of air pressure innovation, people had just their lungs to feed the flames of assembling. Howls, imagined around 1500 BC, helped us along, yet making a solid wellspring of air was still work serious. To satisfy our requirements for produced metal, it was to a great extent human muscle that kept industry moving for a considerable length of time. It wasn't until 1776 that a blowing gadget, an early model for a mechanical air blower, was created by an industrialist named John Wilkinson. More industrialists paid heed and started to builds up this new innovation. Before long, air blowers were utilized in metal working and mining to make a more secure, more effective condition.

European startups navigate long, winding road to self-driving future
Helen Reid, Eric Onstad
OXFORD, England (Reuters) - Far from the sunny, wide streets of Phoenix, where Waymo’s self-driving taxis ply their trade, a handful of European startups are developing driverless cars to navigate the clogged, chaotic, rain-swept roads of European cities.
Startups such as Oxbotica, FiveAI and Wayve that are testing cars in Britain say the old continent is a unique proposition with quirks and challenges that tech giant Alphabet’s (GOOGL.O) Waymo, Uber (UBER.N), Aurora and others have yet to crack.
Operating on a shoestring relative to their U.S. rivals, the European startups say they have been forced to get creative and focus on cheaper, more tailored technologies that could cope in a heavy downpour on a busy London street.
“A car trained to drive on the wide open highways of Arizona isn’t going to survive on the streets of Croydon. It’s a totally different environment,” said Alex van Someren, venture capital investor at Amadeus Capital, which has a stake in FiveAI.
The startups hope that by developing systems and software that work in the most trying circumstances, they will be in prime position when deep-pocketed U.S. firms expand into new regions to capitalize on a future of self-driving cars.
According to the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), the era of connected high-tech vehicles is expected to generate about $150 billion of new profits for the auto sector by 2035, making the race to nail the technology a potentially lucrative one.
Some investors estimate a fifth of global new car sales will be self-driving vehicles by 2030.
While only a handful of startups are likely to survive, investors have poured $70 billion of private investment since 2014 into more than 3,400 firms globally involved in “new mobility”, ranging from autonomous driving to ride hailing to electric scooters to machine learning, according to BCG.
ON A SHOESTRING
In the English university city of Oxford, Paul Newman founded robotics and self-driving company Oxbotica to develop “universal autonomy” software that could be sold to any carmaker, fleet operator, delivery firm or transport company.
The company has been testing its software in a Ford Mondeo crowned with assorted cameras and sensors on the busy streets of the city, driving the same loop, down the high street and past the Red Lion pub, five times a day for three months.
Repeating different circuits over and over again with its fleet of cars gives the company a baseline to measure its progress, and in tricky areas it allows the software to come up with new data relevant to a specific place, Newman said.
“The negotiations one has to do with bicyclists and undergraduates in the early hours - around streets that frankly were designed for ponies - in these European cities is a little bit different,” he said.
The firm now plans to open offices in North America and China, and aims to launch a self-driving taxi service in 2021 in London on specific routes - with a safety driver present - as part of a consortium working with cab company Addison Lee.
Oxbotica’s public road trials are labor-intensive and costly, and demonstrate the extent of the challenge facing companies aspiring to take on Waymo and Uber on a shoestring.
Like Wayve and FiveAI, Oxbotica is making do with a fraction of the funding doled out in the United States to futuristic transport companies. It has received funding of 22.6 million pounds ($28 million), while FiveAI has raised $37.7 million, according to the latest figures from Crunchbase.
By way of comparison, General Motors’ (GM.N) self-driving division Cruise raised $1.15 billion in May in new equity, valuing the unit at $19 billion, while California-based driverless delivery startup Nuro raised $940 million in February.
The amount of venture capital funding going into autonomous car and tech companies in Europe doubled in 2018, but was still a tiny fraction of the amount pumped into U.S. startups. The European firms pulled in $89 million last year, just 2% of the venture capital funding collected by U.S. companies, according to data from CB Insights. tmsnrt.rs/2FN5AkZ
RAIN STOPS PLAY
U.S. startups may benefit from generous funding but Europeans argue the yawning gap in financing – coupled with the particular regional needs - has pushed them to find cheaper ways to plug the technological gaps.
Lidar, for example, the laser pulse technology used widely in U.S. autonomous cars, struggles to paint an accurate picture of a vehicle’s surroundings once rain, fog or snow set in - so developers in Europe are testing a range of other tools.
“The challenges we have to solve here are subtly different and that calls for a different set of sensors ... and more emphasis on image and video processing, use of visual techniques for localization,” said Stan Boland, founder and CEO of FiveAI,
“The deterioration of lidar in the rain is pretty horrendous,” said Boland.
FiveAI started road tests in the London boroughs of Bromley and Croydon this year and hopes to launch passenger trials in 2020. Its long-term objective is to operate an autonomous vehicle fleet to complement public transport.
While Oxbotica’s Newman and Boland argue that lidar has a role to play - alongside other sensors and cameras - Wayve, an autonomous driving company based in the university city of Cambridge, insists the laser technology is unnecessary.

Wayve co-founder Amar Shah said recent improvements meant you could now get reliable relative depth estimates using cameras alone, and that would be far cheaper and more reliable when it comes to mass producing self-driving cars.
He said Wayve would be looking for partnerships in the near future with car makers, suppliers and any other bodies such as regulators involved in developing a driverless future. He also shrugged off the idea companies such as Waymo and Cruise would pose a serious threat with their bigger financial clout.
“They’ve spent ten years in Phoenix, Arizona and can barely get out of there, so how can they come to Europe?” said Shah.
‘AUTONOMY WINTER’
Nevertheless, analysts and consultants paint a future dominated by companies such as Uber and Waymo with massive fleets offering cheap monthly subscriptions for on-demand, self-driving vehicles. But full autonomy could still be years away.
“From the first idea that this will happen fairly quickly, now the autonomy winter has come,” said Arthur Kipferler, partner at automotive consultancy Berylls Strategy Advisors.
The challenges the technology faces were highlighted when a pedestrian was killed in March 2018 by a self-driving car being tested by Uber. The incident caused a temporary halt to Uber’s development program.
“When you get on the ground and you go on a test drive in autonomous vehicles, whether it’s in San Francisco or in China, in unfamiliar, complex urban environments, they’re still a ways off in terms of getting to full autonomy,” said Deborah Orida, global head of active equities at Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, which has invested in self-driving startups Aurora and Zoox.
For European start-ups, wariness on the part of investors about promises of one-size-fits-all autonomy could be an opportunity to sell their message.
But while they may see self-driving as a fundamentally regional challenge, others are critical of their localized approach, saying the U.S. giants will win out by ensuring commercially viable services first.
“If you want a business, I think you need to go where it’s easier, do it fairly quickly and then scale up, learn, and go to the next level of difficulty,” said Kipferler at Berylls.
“If you’re in it for the research side then test it in central London or Mumbai or Delhi - and you will never have a commercial service but you will have the research.”
