We've already shown you that Chaya Raichik is a hate-spewing weirdo who likely has deep-seated gender identity issues. This new identity as coward-enabling censor is the latest development in the life of the Libs of TikTok creator.
She probably thinks she's terrifying the libs, but we've seen this tired approach before, and this is what we have to say:
This is about a bunch of frightened little mommies who don't want to be the only one pulling their kid out of class when the lesson is on race.
This is about the mean girl mommy who doesn't have the guts to email the school librarian to say that mommy doesn't want her kid checking out books on LGBTQIA issues.
It's about parents who don't wanna be the class weirdo. So, they shift that burden to all of us.
No.
You don't want your kid studying the history of racism in the U.S.? *You* be the weirdo, and pull them out of class.
You don't want them reading To Kill A Mockingbird or Heather Has Two Mommies? *You* be the weirdo, and send a note to the librarian.
You.
Don't try to pass laws to cover up your weirdness. We see you. We know you. And we're telling *you* to #taketheweight.

Remember my post from yesterday, about some library bomb threats in the Chicago area?
Next day, another bomb threat in a different place.
From the article:
“A message to parents stated that police are investigating the second threat to Ellen Ochoa Elementary in as many days. Police say students briefly sheltered in place while staff searched the campus.”
And why were these threats made? One of the school’s library workers made this TikTok video.
“In the video the staff member included a statement about her ‘woke agenda’:
‘POV: Teachers in your state are dropping like flies but are still just not quite finished pushing your woke agenda at the public school’
“In the caption of the video on TikTok, the staff member elaborated:
‘My radical liberal agenda is teaching kids to love books and be kind hbu?? I think I'm going to make one of these every year until I die or end my teaching era,’ the woman wrote.
“The video was then shared on Twitter (X) and then shared again by [Superintendant Ryan ]Walters who claimed it was an example of ‘woke ideology’ that he planned to fight it.”
Bet you anything it’ll be this school library worker who is punished for the threat, not the superintendent.

San Diego Unified to consider renaming Henry Clay Elementary school
Tumblr media
The San Diego Unified school board members will be voting on Tuesday to approve a proposed renaming of Henry Clay Elementary School to honor the first Black woman to serve as the district’s Superintendent, Dr. Bertha Pendleton.
The renaming of the Mid-City school has been in the works for the last two years after students, parents and teachers requested the district explore the idea, according to board documents.
A first reading by the SDUSD board was held two weeks ago, on April 16. Although at the time, the board’s School Names Committee recommendation was to rename the campus, “Rolling Hills Leadership Elementary School.”
However, parents, students and school staff expressed concern about this new name proposed by the committee, instead asking the board to consider other alternatives explored when the renaming was first discussed.
These options included recognizing pioneering authors like bell hooks or James Baldwin, the district’s first Black female Dr. Pendleton, the first Hispanic woman to go to space Ellen Ochoa, or Indigenous activist Autumn Peltier.
Charlotte Dupuy — the enslaved woman who mounted a freedom suit against Clay, her enslaver, while he was U.S. Secretary of State — was also discussed as a choice for the school’s new name. These options have since been narrowed to Pendleton by the district board.
According to the district, Pendleton grew up in Alabama during segregation, when Black Americans were barred from the resources “to be successful and live full lives as citizens” that were enjoyed by her white neighbors.
Despite this, she found ways to learn on her own, which included getting permission to use the public library after hours to access their extensive reference materials. This ingenuity helped her become valedictorian of her high school graduating class.
She went on to graduate with honors from Knoxville College in Tennessee, before going on to earn a Master’s from United States International University and her Doctorate of Education from University of San Diego.
Pendleton spent her early career as a cartographic engineer before becoming a teacher. She was later fill administrative roles, working her way up to become the first Black American selected as the SDUSD’s Superintendent.
Outside the classroom, she served two terms as president of Epsilon Xi Omega, the local chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is also related to the late civil rights leader, U.S. Rep. John Lewis.
The board will vote on the proposed name change at its regularly scheduled meeting at 5 p.m. *Reposted article from FOX 5/KUSI by Danielle Dawson on April 30, 2024

Milwaukee Teacher Brings Women’s History Month Alive for Students
Tumblr media
Allen Field Elementary Teacher and MTEA member Alondra Garcia found a really exciting way to engage her students this year for Women’s History Month. We’re pretty sure students will never forget these lessons or the contributions of these women. Thank you for bringing history alive for your students, Alondra!
“To celebrate Women's History Month, I decided to dress up like an important woman in history each day of the school week. Bringing each individual's character to life brought up awareness of the inequities they have had to encounter to get to where we, women, are today. The impact women have had in our society is remarkable. The excitement and engagement I see on a daily basis has been very rewarding. I love teaching and helping my kids to be the BEST version of themselves.”

Hispanic Heritage Month
Ellen Ochoa is one of the most important people to remember for Hispanic Heritage Month because of all of her accomplishments she has made. She is very inspirational for women and is a mentor for young girls. She became the world’s first hispanic female astronaut and to ever go into space in 1991. She was born in Los Angeles, California and graduated from Grossmont High School in 1975. She was often teased in school for having a love for science but that didn’t stop her from pursuing her lifelong dreams. In 1980 she received a bachelor of science degree in physics from San Diego University and then later on attended Stanford University in 1981 from 1985 to receive a master of science degree and a doctorate in electrical engineering. She was selected by NASA in January 1990 and became an astronaut in July of 1991. She was veteran of four flights in space and had spent nine days on a mission aboard the shuttle Discovery that conducted atmospheric and solar studies in order to better understand the effect of solar activity on the Earth’s climate and environment  in 1993. Ochoa had also nearly spent almost 1,000 hours in space. She was a mission specialist on STS-56 in 1993, was the Payload Commander on STS-66 in 1994, and was a mission specialist and flight engineer on STS-96 in 1999 and STS-110 in 2002. Ochoa was also an inventor and she invented three components that help scientists refine images that come from space. She created an optical inspection system, an optical object recognition method, and a method for noise removal in images. Ochoa has also received many awards for success such as NASA's Exceptional Service Medal in 1997, Outstanding Leadership Medal in 1995 and Space Flight Medals in 2002, 1999, 1994, and 1993. She is a mother of two children, is married, is retired and is now the director of the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center in which she became the first Hispanic and second female director of NASA's Johnson Space Center. Ochoa is also honored to have schools named after her which are the Ellen Ochoa STEM Academy at Ben Milam Elementary in Grand Prairie, Texas, the Amino Ellen Ochoa Charter Middle School in Los Angeles, and the Ellen Ochoa Prep Academy in Pico Rivera, California. Ellen Ochoa should definitely be considered an important figure in Hispanic heritage month because all of the amazing things she’s done and what she has accomplished for women.
