slightly amuses me that my first melanie faceclaim was a transmasc actor (who, for unrelated reasons, doesn't actually match melanie's few canon descriptors, their face just appeared in my mind when I heard her voice), and a while later I thought "maybe I should try to think of someone who actually matches her canon descriptors" and went through some faces in my head before landing on a new person, who I then looked up and found had also come out as transmasc since I last thought about them. melanie king's transmasculine swagger defies the limits of the conscious mind.

it’s been a year since i first watched rise
