As you lay on your bed, your belly was pressed against the mattress with your  forearms fitting snug in between a fluff of assorted pillows.

Elliot sleeps next to you without a care in the world, entirely vulnerable as he continues to snuggle into the comfort of the mattress even more.

He’s a heavy sleeper, one that tends to sleep through the morning time, while you wake up early. It’s not always by choice, but it tends to happen often enough for him to gloat about how you two are a perfect fit. 

Sometimes you can fall back to sleep, but on that morning you didn’t feel like making an attempt to try doing so. 

-Not when you catch sight of him. 

The way he scrunches his face makes you smile, but not any more than when he says your name in a little, whiney voice that has you softly giggling.

You shake your head too, amused, and tickled pink.

His voice is soft, nearly hoarse as he calls for you, not knowing you are right there with him, and the idea that he's in a world where anything is possible, yet he includes you, has your heart soaring.

your face gently warms as you brush your fingers over the messy curls that have become tangled during his sleep. The curls have become frizzed with his nighttime turning, and they've shrunk moreso, becoming tighter springs you adore.

It’s a shame he doesn’t wear his natural hair out more often.
