The fact that Raven specifically is like "actually that was terrible of me and I hope never to do that or hurt people in that way ever again" about Nasod mind control. Which had basically made him a nihilist that wanted humanity wiped out, sure says something about how hope and love for other people used to be and still continues to be the very thing that drives him.
