(Part 1 got lost into the Oblivion, I don't know what Im doing anymore)

I think for the first time I'm faced with an Actually Difficult decision when it comes to who to leave in the Fade. Between Alessandra and Loghain it was a no-brainer; that was always the ending I had planned for Loghain. Between Sabine and Alistair it was Sabine because Sabine romanced Merrill if anyone can either find Hawke in the Fade or be compellingly obsessed with finding her in there it's Merrill. Between Cillian and Stroud it was always going to be Stroud because Cillian is truly too ride-or-die for Anders to leave him hanging that way. And between Emilia and Stroud it had to be Emilia because she's truly kind of a monster to the point that even milquetoast pro-Chantry Theodore Trevelyan was unsettled by her.

Between Mallory Hawke and romanced Alistair, it's actually kind of a tough call! On the one hand I've got Mal who did her absolute damnedest not to give a shit until the very end and then surprised everyone by defending the mages and for whom voluntary self-sacrifice would be a massive leap of character growth, and on the other hand I've got Alistair who is not King specifically because benevolent-but-still-kind-of-selfish Warden Jolene Cousland didn't feel like sharing him and for whom losing him would probably force some kind of character growth as well, though in her case it wouldn't be her choice.

Also worth factoring in is that Mal is in a polycule with Merrill and Isabela and while they'll be crushed, they'll have each other to get through it. Jo likewise will grieve Alistair hard but she'll survive it.

It's not even an easy choice from my Inquisitor's perspective because on the one hand Calla likes Varric. a lot. and isn't eager to feed his best friend to a demon. but on the other hand she's a dwarf and brutally pragmatic, and she gets that whatever shit the Grey Wardens have done, we probably still need them.

This game is like "Which one of your OCs do you want to hurt more?" and I'm here like "Is there any way I can hurt them both?" 🤔

4) What does your worldstate look like going into DAV?

I have two that I'm considering using for my first playthrough. My primary one:

Warden: Narev Brosca (rogue). Zevran romancer who allied with the mages in broken circle. Let Jowan cure Connor with blood magic. Sided with the elves in Nature of the Beast. Put Bhelen on the throne of Orzammar. Put Alistair and Anora on the throne together and spared Loghain, who did the dark ritual

Champion: Aylin Hawke (mage). Primarily aggressive/blunt responses. Anders (alive and well) romancer. Didn't bring Carver into the deep roads with her. Befriended most of her party except for Carver (😭) and Aveline. Bartrand is alive. Varric didn't keep the idol. Sided with the mages in The Last Straw

Inquisitor: Emilia Trevelyan (mage). Romanced Josephine. Allied with the mages. Briala rules through Gaspard. Loghain left in the fade. Grey Wardens pardoned. Inquisitor drank from the Well of Sorrows. Disbanded the Inquisition. Leliana is Divine. Wants to redeem Solas

he is closest with cole, varric, and cassandra, for various reasons between the three of them. the latter two have been there from the beginning and they're good anchors for him when his anxiety might get the better of him. he trusts them and respects their opinions. cole is just that particular brand of Weird that matthias relates to a lot with how he was ostracised in his childhood, so they vibe on an unspoken level most of the time. he's quite close with josephine too; he sees her as a very warm and kind person. if there's anything he needs, she will most likely be the first person he goes to.

this is a bit complicated of an answer. in what is meant to be his canon playthrough he romances dorian, however i don't consider this a long term thing as it's his first proper romantic relationship. while it's a good learning experience, they mutually decide to break it off and stay very close. he's also pining after his best friend 99% of the time which gets messy because in the lore we have developed, cinder also keeps solas as her canon romance while pining after matthias too.

oh he has Many. the most notable are his facial ones which are from various cuts and tumbles over the years. the one on his upper lip was gained at the conclave explosion. outside of that, there are a few along his legs with one across his left shin from escaping haven and tearing the skin along some rubble.

during halamshiral, matthias briefly met the warden-queen of ferelden, emilia cousland. they had a conversation about the weight of saving the world and emilia soothed some of his nerves by discussing her experiences in the fifth blight. she was very welcoming and open to him and he wishes he could have spent more time talking with her. aryn hawke was a different story, being as bold and somewhat irreverant as varric has described them. their personalities didn't mesh the best but aryn toned it down just enough for the job to get done and giving him a grin from ear to ear whenever he threw a sarcastic remark back at them.

prior to the inquisition, he had only interacted with fellow elves and humans. the very different customs of qunari took some adjusting to in the beginning, and dwarven life was almost inverse to his own which was also unusual to him initially. if anything, the only time he gets concerned is around humans he doesn't know because he never knows how they will react to him being dalish.

4. Favorite non-sexual activity?

Sparring. Especially early on in the marriage, before a cure (dammit) and before kids (thanks to the special blessing from the Old Oak), they get antsy and restless. And the stresses of governing a nation need a bit of a coping mechanism, too. While some of that obviously would get worked out in the bedroom, some of it is spent in the familiar processes of sparring. Far too often, the courtyard echoes with the ringing sound of swords and shields making connection, of shouts and grunts. It drives Eamon mad, of course, the King risking injury in such a way. Teagan, on the other hand, finds his brother’s exasperation hilarious, and encourages the princess and the king to do as they please. 

6. What is their favorite feature of their partner’s?

For Emilia, it’s his eyes. From the beginning, even when he tried to play the callous, rebellious bastard, there was a kindness in Alistair’s eyes that drew her in. Over the years, as the crow’s feet form at the corners, sharpening with each smile, her fondness and affection for what she can see there has only grown.

For Alistair, it’s Emilia’s flowing red hair. During the Blight, she wore it up -- braided into two buns at the base of her skull, much as her mother had always done. It kept it out of the way, and kept it relatively clean, on the road. She still wears it like that, at times, but he loves the rare occasion when she wears it down, the wisps and the soft waves framing her high cheekbones and blue eyes perfectly. He loves running his fingers through it, enjoying the softness. 

He’s a little less enamored of it, however, when a stray strand tickles at his nose.

Day Fifteen: Different Hairstyle 

I wanted to do this one for Una because I imagined after the Blight and either the coronation of Alistair or Felix Cousland (both her lovers in different settings/AUs) and peace somewhat settles over Ferelden for a time, she grows out her hair and changes her hairdo every now and then.

I have to admit, not only Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targeryen is my face claim for Una, but many of the outfits and hairstyles seen on her from the show I can totally envision suiting Una’s tastes. For instance, when she’s travelling in the midst of her Warden duties or is back in Denerim to attend some important meetings or give her reports:

If she continues to keep her hair long, she’ll braid it for the battlefield usually in this hairstyle:

But if she was simply being casual or had a moment of respite and liked to leave her hair mostly down or simple looking, here are two possibilities in what that hairdo would look like:

01) Favourite game of the series? I think DAI is my favorite in the series, because it was the one that really pulled me into the fandom.

02) How did you discover Dragon Age? As is usual for my entrance to fandom, it started with blogs I follow starting to share content about the game. (This was a little bit before DAI dropped.) It seemed cool, and @likhoradka​ had made a quick Handers comic that amused me, but I didn’t really get into it until @battlefox​ lent me a copy of DA2 so that I could see what all the hype was about.

03) How many times you’ve played the games? I’ve played all three games through to completion once; with DAO, I played most of the DLCs that were concurrent to the base game, but I only played the vanilla games for DA2 and DAI. HOWEVER, I have started several additional playthroughs, to the point where I have a small army of characters.

04) Favourite race to play as? Elves! Though, to be fair, this is a bias I generally have in fantasy settings.

05) Favourite class? Mages, because, again, the bias followed me from the fantasy setting in general.

06) Do you play through the games differently or do you make the same decisions each time? I try to play to each character, but I still usually end up making the same decisions (so far).

07) Go-to adventuring group?

DAO: Alistair/Dog, Leliana, Zevran

DA2: Varric, Fenris, Anders

DAI: Since this is the one that I have the most characters in, this is more varied depending on the playthrough, but my PERSONAL favorite combination is Varric, Dorian, and Iron Bull.

08) Which of your characters did you put the most thought into? Definitely Enansal, even though she’s just a glorified self-insert. I just write about her the most.

09) Favourite romance? Probably Cullen, but that’s because I’ve done that one twice.

10) Have you read any of the comics/books? I haven’t got a chance to, yet! I did buy myself a copy of “Asunder,” but I haven’t had time to actually read it.

11) If you read them, which was your favourite book? TBD ;)

12) Favourite DLCs? I mean, I do love “The Stone Prisoner,” because it gives you Shale, and I love them so much.

13) Things that annoy you. Mooostly the fandom. This is why I keep to myself and my little corner amongst the lovely people behind @dadrunkwriting and @asiansofthedas.

14) Orlais or Ferelden? Ferelden, because it’s always given me Celtic vibes and therefore reminds of Ireland :)

15) Templars or mages? Mages.

16) If you have multiple characters, are they in different/parallel universes or in the same one? I personally have them existing in parallel universes. However, I like the idea that all of the DAO characters end up joining the Wardens at some point or another. I also do have two separate Tabris playthroughs that have become my “Tabris twins” headcanon.

17) What did you name your pets? (mabari, summoned animals, mounts, etc)

Veleda’s mabari is Rowan. Since my first playthrough with Sylvia was with the vanilla game, she didn’t have her mabari, so I still haven’t thought of a name. Enansal and Cullen name their mabari Buster. Most of my other playthroughs have named mabari, though, but I have way too many to name them all haha I also never named any mounts, probably because I didn’t know that they could be named!

18) Have you installed any mods? I wish I could, but I definitely don’t have the space or know-how to install them.

19) Did your Warden want to become a Grey Warden? Veleda definitely did not. She was actually more than happy to stay in the Circle, because she definitely started out as a huge Loyalist, and was upset that she was basically forced into leaving with Duncan. She was eventually glad for the opportunity to live in the “outside world” though.

20) Hawke’s personality? Sylvia ended up being true blue lol

21) Did you make matching armor for your companions in Inquisition? No. I usually prioritized stats (and sometimes individual colors).

22) If your character(s) could go back in time to change one thing, what would they change?

Veleda: She wouldn’t have betrayed Jowan. Being away from the Circle made her realize that she should have put more value in his friendship.

Sylvia: Even if it ultimately spared his life, she always regrets NOT taking Carver to the Deep Roads with her, because she hates the time that they spent apart.

Elera: She never would have left her Clan prior to the events of DAI.

Enansal: She wishes she never had gotten involved with Aaric.

23) Do you have any headcanons about your character(s) that go against canon? Not particularly? I’d say my biggest canon-breaking content is my Tabris twins and my Kremquisitor playthrough.

24) Are any of your character(s) based on someone? Aisling Tabris, Sylvia Hawke, and Enansal Lavellan are all self-inserts, technically >_> Nan is the one that is most like me, though. Ash is my go-to persona when I make new characters, and Sylvia is really only a self-insert in the sense that all of her dialogue choices were based on what *I* would do in that situation.

25) Who did you leave in the Fade? Stroud, because holy frick, I could not break Varric’s heart like that.

Kieran Jones

Birth Date: Dragon Age 9:10, Roughly, the exact day is unknown Birth Place/Home-town: Birthplace unknown to Kieran (was Antiva) washed up on shore around the age of 3 in Rivain and was adopted by a tavern owner and his wife Relationship Status: Single, but interested in Emilia Cousland Sexuality: Straight Occupation: Pirate, though for the last two years he's had no ship Class: Rogue - Duellist Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Personality

ESFP- The performer He's still haunted by the events that sunk his ship two years ago, by the lives that died because of his foolishness, but he is starting to heal thanks to coming clean to Emilia finally. He loves rum and flirting with pretty girls, though deep down his heart currently belongs to Emilia, though whether or not he can truly move on from his mistakes and realise he deserves to be happy is another question entirely. He often hides his true feelings with jokes and sarcasm and more flirting. He can be quite charming when he wants to be. He typically doesn't like getting involved with other people's affairs unless it pays well, but he also doesn't like seeing a damsel in distress. He can be quite an enigma at times, one moment doing something selfless and chivalrous, the next something selfish and self-serving. He prefers to avoid darkspawn and has yet to ever have to fight any, minus his run-in with the desire demon of course. History

Little is known about Kieran's actual origins. A local inn/barkeep in Llomerryn, Rivain found a lost little three year old boy wandering around near some remains that had washed ashore, presumably from a shipwreck (whether the wreck was from bad weather or a fight it was hard to tell). There were dead bodies scattered all over, but somehow this little three year old boy had managed to survive. He either couldn't or wouldn't speak at the time, Barney the innkeeper took him in to be raised by him and his wife Belle. They took to calling him Kieran. At the age of 11 the boys adoptive parents were killed in a fire, at least that's what it appeared, the truth was far more sinister but the boy had a way of wandering off while his parents were working at the Inn, so he was spared. He was found by a pirate, captain of his own ship, and taken aboard as a deckhand. From the age of 11 to his current age of 31 his life was mostly pirate ships. He learned to duel fairly well from the first Captain that had taken him in. When he was 21 he lost his left hand trying to save the life of that captain, Captain Jones. He managed to avenge Jones's death, but lost his hand in the process. After that, he took to using the surname of Jones in honour of the captain that helped mould him to become the man and pirate he has. He was finally captain of his own boat, The Dark Wanderer, for about three years, but during a nasty fight he was forced to abandon ship. The ship is now grounded on the coast of Estwatch. Kieran hasn't forgotten about his ship, but he currently lacks the funds he needs to do the major repairs required to make it seaworthy again and most of his crew has gone off to find other work in the mean time. He is loosely affiliated with Raiders of the Waking Sea, as are most pirates. Kieran & Emilia's History

Emilia travelled with Kieran for a bit on his old ship a couple of years ago. Until the ship wrecked and Kieran wouldn't tell Emilia the truth about what happened just before the wreck while he'd been locked away in his cabin. Hushed whispers amongst his crew mentioned a woman, rescued from a wreck, alone in the water. Emilia had been asleep at the time, and Kieran left orders with his crew not to disturb him or mention anything to Emilia about the woman. Finally during a chance meeting in Kirkwall, Kieran told Emilia the truth about that night. A desire demon in the guise of a poor soul lost at sea. She entered Kieran's cabin that fateful night and took the form of the thing that Kieran desired the most, Emilia. The whole time he thought he was professing his love to Emilia and making love to her, it had been a demon bent on taking down the whole ship. Men died that night, but thanks to Emilia's quick thinking she saved a lot of men. Kieran didn't like thinking about his moment of weakness, about being duped by a demon, he buried himself in rum and brothels, pushing everyone away that cared. Can Emilia finally heal him? Will the truth set him free now that it's out? Will they finally get a chance to be together? The Truth of Things

He is actually the first son of Nico, the second talon and Nico's first wife. Nico believes that both his wife and son perished when their ship was taken over by pirates and sunk, he has no idea that Kieran is alive and well, though Nico knows Kieran by the name Damarion. Abilities
