i think that after kanade has the initial tsukasa jumpscare they start to get along well but like. kanade talks to think man because even though she goes to the same school as mizuki GUESS WHO NEVER FUCKING ATTENDS !!! and once she talks to tsukasa long enough she's introduced to rui and nene by being invited to ★★★ SUPER COOL EAT-LUNCH-ON-THE-ROOF TIME [kool kats only ★★] ★★★ and kanade sits down like "okay. these people seem calm. theyre probably normal. i think. i can do this :]" and then emu. climbs onto the roof. and kanade thinks "OHFUCKOHSHIT NEVERMIND NEVERMINDNEVERMIND"

so they eat lunch and kanade is introduced to tsukasa's not boyfriend, tsukasa's not girlfriend and tsukasa's not girlfriend. and they have a good time !!! kanade gets along well with nene, but also doesn't because i think the two of them are the equivalent of the "shy people vs introverts" meme. rui is fun but kanade cannot understand that man for the life of herself. and. emu. so ironically tsukasa is the one she gets along with most.

so they hang out and also i think that kanade has tsukasa look over her compositions and has probably gotten him to play an actual piano bit for one of nightcord's songs. idk which you just gotta trust me. and one day kanade comes to their daily meet up thing which happens in the park because silly and tsukasa isn't doing his usual thing. bc when she usually comes tsukasa is happy and smiling like :D :D :D and helping out little kids on the playground equipment but this time nobody's here and he's just. off. and kanade can feel The Vibes but she goes over anyways. and she sees him and he sees her and suddenly he's happy again but this time it's all wrong. and she leaves and goes back home and she thinks back and realizes how Wrong all their interactions had felt. but at the same time it didn't. and she's trying to make sense of all this and talks to nightcord about it because who else would she talk to ??? and general consensus is "make discord server with him" so that's what she does. yes this results in silly tsukasa uses discord for the first time shenanigans. and they all start talking !!! ofc she introduces mizuki as mizuki but mafuyu and ena are left as "my online friends enanan and yuki"

tsukasa ends up inviting rui nene and emu because WHO ELSE ??? and rui dms kanade like "okay i know why you did this but we. are getting nothing out of this. also is yuki mafuyu from the all girls school that emu goes to ???" also SIDE PLOT with emu not feeling creeped out around yuki like she is mafuyu. just wanted to mention. anyways rui is like "i know who you are" and kanade is like "help me help you help your bf (boy best friend)" and idk how but eventually tsukasa just. breaks down.

Kotaro yawns, waving his hand in front of his mouth. His progress on his latest original piece was going as smooth as it could as a variation of his usual style. For the sake of furthering his reach to an online audience, when it's night and he can't do anything loud he's been looking for songs that he think he could cover well. Even if his own pieces tend to have a pretty consistent mood, his covers didn't have to, so he just sought songs he thought he had the skill for.

Despite the fact it was about midnight he could hear footsteps in the hall. If Takato was awake from a nightmare or restlessness surely he'd have come to Kotaro, so he assumes it isn't him. It could be Ena. He didn't know their sleep schedule or what was normal in her household. Maybe it would be good to check in on her?

Future/Passed (l/n): During one of Toya's street performances, a familiar face passes by one day. To his surprise, Ichika asks him to form a band together, with Toya as the lead vocalist and Ichika as the lead guitarist. On the lookout for new members, he manages to convince the reclusive girl in his class, Nene, who happens to be the school marching band drummer, to join their band. Through one of their practices, they are approached by a composer and keyboardist, Kanade, who finds a sweet nostalgia in their music. Together, they slowly open up to each other and help each other through their personal struggles with music. FLY FLY HIGH (mmj): Failing yet another idol audition, Kohane sits with Minori as she practices for her next audition. Inspired by her determination and unwavering confidence, Kohane pushes herself to go out of her comfort zone and joins Minori in her journey to become an idol. Later, mistakenly stumbling onto their rooftop practice and in search for a new activity to take part in during high school, Saki all but begs to join them as well. Realising they're all very new to the idol world, Saki introduces them to her brother, a more seasoned singer and dancer than them. Tsukasa eventually joins their idol group as well, as he looks out for his (rapidly growing amount of) younger sister(s). VIVIDS!! (vbs): Moving on from her idol life, Haruka joins An in some of her live performances, and finds herself with a natural talent for street performance. Soon enough they begin to be seen as a duo, and grab the attention of Shiho when they perform in the live house she works at. Upon their offer, An also invites Mizuki to be their stylist, event organiser, and manager. With Mizuki's promos, Shiho's headstrong drive to go pro, An's determination to surpass RAD WEEKEND, and Haruka's professionalism, they quickly gain the attention of the performers along Vivid Street. Shhh:Secret Showtime (wxs): Rui finds out a video of his one man performance has gone viral, filmed by a user named "Enanan". Finding this as a way to make a name for herself, Ena approaches Rui after school one day and asks him to team up. She becomes the manager and assigns Rui the frontman, and begins her search for more talents. Along the way she finds Honami, a sweet girl with a love for the park Rui first went viral in, and strikes gold when an elegant, mysterious masked performer "Lucky Bunny" joins them. (SMILE:) (niigo): A week after the destruction of the Wonder Stage, Emu finds herself drawn to Mafuyu. Finding OWN's music and realising the two are one and the same, Emu becomes determined to write lyrics to bring a true smile to Mafuyu's face. Unbeknownst to them, Airi takes her own hand at editing after quitting her idol job. After finding out Ena's brother is an artist, she and Akito begin posting together as a duo. Emu reaches out to them anonymously online, and together they create (SMILE:). here's their units lined up before i talk about their sekais and music

F/P: The SEKAI is collectively created through the memories of all four members. Together, they manifest the Gallery SEKAI. The Gallery SEKAI appears as a museum gallery, with long winding hallways and never-ending pathways. Images hang on the walls, some clear, some blurred, some distorted and some worn. The main foyer contains the band instruments, with its high cavernous ceiling creating a sense of smallness and wonder while providing echoing acoustics. They focus on acoustic, nostalgic, and calming songs. FFH: The SEKAI is collectively created through the ambition of all its members. Together, they manifest the Stage SEKAI. Different idol stages create the SEKAI, each with different functionality, size and purpose. The audience is filled with talking plushies holding glowsticks. They focus on pop songs but sometimes do punk, rock, and occasionally perform story-driven music concerts VIVIDS: The SEKAI is initially created by An, Haruka, and Mizuki. Together, they create the Street SEKAI. With a cafe at its core, the streets are covered in colourful graffiti and bright, colourful lights. They focus on EDM, hip-hop, and i'm very bad at describing music genres its just normal vbs music. Shh:SS: The SEKAI is created by Ena and Rui. Together, they make the Cyberspace SEKAI, a cyber-steampunk style wonderland filled with disjointed, floating stage spaces and impressive barebones machinery lined with LED wires. There are clear edges to the world and generally does not feel safe according to Honami and especially Shizuku — however, neither Ena nor Rui seem to mind. They focus on flashy, exciting, and loud music. :) : The SEKAI is created by Mafuyu, and partially by Emu. Since its creation, the SEKAI has transformed into the Empty Wonderland, a desolate SEKAI with a loop of overgrown pathways lined with apple trees, all leading back to a slightly raised stage in the centre. They focus on a variety of songs, with a range of genres and often very bittersweet lyrics.

So a while back I tried thinking of costumes for all of them (theyre at the bottom) in Project Sekai’s own costume dress up thing, but I really wasn’t happy with the ideas I came up for them. So here are a bunch of new costume ideas!

The whole point of their unit is that they’re a disjointed bunch of vtubers/streamers that are trying to make their different content styles work together and I think I missed that by trying to make their costumes match

KanaMizu, with Mizuki having to teach Kanade how to cook so she could eat other kinds of food, and in case Honami would not be around.

MizuEna, going on mall dates while taking photos and sending them in the nightcord server.

MizuMafu, who in their early moments of N25’s relationship, had been seen as an odd duo to be dating be dating each other with their contrasting personalities. Despite that they still love each other very much.

MafuEna, Sometimes sending each other texts whenever any of them head out, worried about each other if they came back home safe. Despite being the somewhat weakest link in the relationship.

Ena dreams of a familiar stranger with pink hair and a blue jumper every night. Why does the sight of them make her feel so sad?

Ena has been having strange dreams lately.

She dreams of a mysterious yet familiar person with pink hair and a red bow. However, before Ena could see the person's face, she woke up.

Ena groans in frustration. Just who is this mysterious person??? And why do they keep appearing in her dreams every night without fail??? It's pissing her off.

She looks at the clock. Akito is almost done with school, so that means it's time for her to get ready for her nighttime classes. She instantly becomes even more pissed and gets up from her bed.

It's currently 1 am, so Ena gets online on nightcord.

"Enanan, could you edit the new mv this time?" Kanade asks.

"Oh, sure!" Ena replies. They've been rotating turns to edit mvs since they haven't been able to find a permanent editor. The last one they had lost interest and never came back.

Ugh, why did they have to leave? Their videos were really good...

While looking for some inspiration for the video, Ena tries to find the video that the former editor did. They were really skilled, so maybe Ena could learn a few tips...

As she watched and inspected the videos closely, she noticed the upload date. Seven months ago... how strange. Ena clearly remembers that niigo has been editing videos by themselves since the editor left... but they've only been editing themselves for 3 months.

At least, Ena thinks she clearly remembers it.

"Well, maybe you could add a little more colors. Like light blue and pink.”

Something pops up in Ena’s head. The color combination... is awfully familiar. But why is that?

Was it that strange person in her dreams? come to think of it, she thinks they were wearing a blue skirt..

"...Ena?" Kanade calls out.

"Sorry, i'll think about it," Ena says. "I'm going to sleep early tonight. Good night!”

Ena promptly logs off nightcord. She grabs her sketchbook and a pencil. Maybe she will remember this person if she draws them.

Ena screams with fustration. All she had was the back profile of this person. Pink hair in a side ponytail tied with a red ribbon. A blue skirt and white shirt. But that’s it. No face.

Ena gives up and decides to turn in for the night, for real this time.

“Enanan!” she hears a distant voice call to her. She opens her eyes.

“Come on Enanan, or we’re going to miss the train!”

The train? Ena hasn’t been on a train in a while. In fact, she hasn’t been able to step into a train station without feeling sick. When did she even start feeling that way?

Ena focuses on the person instead, but they grab her hand and drag her to the train station. This person… had pink hair and a red bow! This was the person Ena was looking for!

But for some reason, she couldn’t get a clear look of their face. Suddenly, the scene changed around her. Well, I guess it IS just a dream…

Ena now stands under pink cherry blossoms, softly glowing in the warm sunset. The sight sends a pang through her chest. Waves of nostalgia and sadness overcome her. It makes her feel like she’s missing something, or rather, someone.

“Isn’t it beautiful, Ena? I thought you would’ve forgotten them after all this time.”

Ena turns to the person. Pink hair, white shirt, blue skirt… and pink eyes. Their reminded her of shimmering pink opals.

“Forgotten?” Ena scoffs. “There’s no way I would’ve forgotten something as… as beautiful as this.”

The person chuckles. The sound of their melodic laughter sends butterflies to Ena’s stomach.

“Well, you did. We haven’t been here in a while.”

…we?

The mysterious person sees the flash of confusion flicker on Ena’s face. Sadness darkens their eyes. “Well, I guess you’ve really forgotten everything, huh?”

For once, Ena is unable to speak. She doesn’t know what to say.

This person obviously knows Ena. But Ena doesn’t know them. Yet, a familiar feeling tugs at her heartstrings.

They smile sadly. “I can’t really tell you everything because you’ll forget anyway. But I…”

Their words are lost and are muffled suddenly.

“Wait! Who are you?! What did you say?!” Ena yelled. But the only image she was left with was that mysterious person’s smile with a sorrowful expression in their eyes.

Ena wakes up immediately and gets out of bed. Quickly, she gathers her paints and brushes and scrambles for a blank canvas.

She sets up her easel and gets to work. Her hand moves on its own as she sketches the mysterious person, as if she had done it hundreds of times before. Everything came to her naturally as she continued to paint.

Ena finally sits back. She looks at the clock. It read 7 AM. Damn.

How long has she been painting for? The sky was still dark when she started, but now the sun slowly started to rise from its slumber.

The artist worked tirelessly to paint the fading image from her dreams. She worked and worked without stopping to rest. But now that she’s done, she can finally look at the finished piece.

The person’s silhouette was highlighted by the golden glow of the setting sun behind them. They wore a regretful smile and soft eyes underneath cherry blossoms, with petals drifting around them.

All of a sudden, Ena felt tears well up in her eyes. Before she knew it, she was crying.

She sobbed uncontrollably, and she didn’t even know why for a moment. The butterflies in her chest, the warm feeling when she heard their voice… and the pain of seeing their smile.

Memories came flooding to her, one by one. The missing gaps in her memory were filled. And with it, came joy and tremendous pain. She remembered everything, even the reason why she lost the memories of the most important person in her life to begin with. She could vividly see the blood, the tears, and the train. Her friends and family tried so hard to get her to remember, but Ena couldn’t. She cried even more with guilt and shame. How couldn’t she remember?

“Mizuki…”

Explanation: Mizuki and Ena get into an accident (presumably a train accident), in which Mizuki dies and Ena loses her memories of Mizuki. Nobody can get Ena to remember Mizuki no matter what they did, so they eventually just gave up. i guess you could say mizuki got fed up with that and appeared to ena in a dream.

also, according to my floriography book, carnations and snowdrops represent heartache, consolation, and hope.
