क्विज में बादल प्रसाद, स्कैचिंग में दीपक सेन और पेंटिंग प्रतियोगिता में भूमि जैन ने बाजी मारी

मेवाड़ विश्वविद्यालय में बुधवार को इंजीनियरिंग और प्रौद्योगिकी संकाय के तत्वाधान में अभियंता दिवस धूमधाम से मनाया गया। इस दौरान सर मोक्षगुंडम विश्वेश्वरैया के देश के प्रति किए गए महान कार्याें को याद किया गया और उनके जीवन पर आधारित एक डॉक्युमेंट्री भी विद्यार्थियों को दिखाई गई। इस मौके पर विद्यार्थियों ने भी विभिन्न कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किए। वहीं क्विज, स्कैचिंग और पेंटिंग प्रतियोगिता के विजयी प्रतिभागियों को शील्ड और सर्टिफिकेट प्रदान करके पुरस्कृत किया गया।

कार्यक्रम की शुरूआत कुलपति डॉ. आलोक मिश्रा, कला और संस्कृति विभाग की महानिदेशिका प्रो.(डॉ.) चित्रलेखा सिंह, इजीनियरिंग संकाय के डिप्टी डीन कपिल नाहर, डॉ. एसार अहमद, शशिवेेंद्र दुलावत आदि ने सर मोक्षगुंडम विश्वेश्वरैया के चित्र पर माल्यार्पण व दीप प्रज्वलित कर उन्हें पुष्पांजलि अर्पित की और उनके पदचिन्हों पर चलने का संकल्प दोहराया। कार्यक्रम में कुलपति प्रो. (डॉ.) आलोक मिश्रा ने महान इंजीनियर सर मोक्षगुंडम के जीवन पर प्रकाश ड़ालते हुए कहा कि उनके अथक प्रयासों ने समाज को नई दिशा दी और उन्होंने इंजीनियरिंग के क्षेत्र में कई अभूतपूर्व कार्य किए जिनको आज भी याद किया जाता है। समाज को प्रगति की ओर एक इंजीनियर ही ले जाता है और आज का दिन विज्ञान व अन्य तकनीकी के अद्भुत सफर को सलाम करने का दिन है। महान इंजीनियर सर मोक्षगुंडम ने असाधारण योगदान से राष्ट्र निर्माण और विकास में अपना अमूल्य योगदान दिया है। उनकी औद्योगिकी और बुनियादी ढांचे के विकास में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका रहीं। उन्होंने कई डैम्स और जल प्रबंधन प्रोजेक्ट्स का नेतृत्व किया है जिनमें कर्नाटक स्थित कृष्णराज सागर डैम का निर्माण प्रमुख है। वर्ष 1955 में सर मोक्षगुंडम को भारत के सर्वाेच्च नागरिक सम्मान भारत रत्न से नवाजा गया था। उन्होंने युवाओं से अपील की कि वह प्राकृतिक संसाधनों को बचाने में अपना महत्वपूर्ण योगदान देना चाहिए। कार्यक्रम का समापन करते हुए कपिल नाहर ने कार्यक्रम में आए सभी अतिथियों का आभार ज्ञापित किया। कार्यक्रम के दौरान कुलपति डॉ. मिश्रा ने इजीनियरिंग के क्षेत्र से संबंधित कई प्रश्न विद्यार्थियों से पूछे और छात्रों ने भी उनका वाजिब जवाब दिया। इस मौके पर सहायक प्रोफेसर अभिषेक उपाध्याय और हरिओम गांधर्व ने भी प्रेरक गीत सुनाकर विद्यार्थियों में जोश भर दिया।

विभिन्न प्रतियोगिता के प्रतिभागी हुए पुरस्कृतः कोर्डिनेटर निरमा कुमारी शर्मा ने बताया कि क्विज प्रतियोगिता में प्रथम स्थान पर बादल प्रसाद नायक, द्वितीय स्थान हर्ष राज और तृतीय स्थान राजन रजक ने प्राप्त किया। स्कैचिंग में प्रथम स्थान दीपक सेन, द्वितीय स्थान रतन रेगर और तृतीय स्थान प्राप्त करने वाले बप्पा बर्मन को पुस्कृत किया गया। पेंटिंग प्रतियोगिता में प्रथम स्थान भूमि जैन, द्वितीय स्थान लाल सिंह और तृतीय स्थान पर दिव्यांशी सचान ने बाजी मारी।
