Venture Expedition: immersion unveils solution
Ever contemplated the source of ingenious ideas wielded by entrepreneurs ? Allow me to provide insight into the methods employed by these innovators, particularly exemplified by students from Central Mindanao University's College of Engineering, specifically the Civil Engineering Department. Here, within the academic realm, we emerge as entrepreneurs crafting solutions that address the intricacies of daily challenges, showcasing the dynamic fusion of creativity and engineering acumen.

Initially, our approach involved meticulous planning to gather data efficiently. Employing a data service as a guide, we conducted face-to-face interviews to glean insights from the interviewees. This method allowed us to delve into the challenges faced within the university setting, unraveling both institutional issues and personal concerns of the individuals we interacted with.

This method allowed us to delve into the challenges faced within the university setting, unraveling both institutional issues and personal concerns of the individuals we interacted with.

The data gathering and interviews commenced on January 23, 2024, at the campus. The team strategically divided into smaller groups, each comprising two members, to efficiently cover all the colleges within Central Mindanao University. This approach enabled us to engage with a total of 100 interviewees, garnering valuable insights and collecting 100 responses in the process.

With the mounting number of interviews, we discerned a confluence of issues prevalent within the university, with transportation, financial security, canteen services, and waste management standing out as major concerns for a significant portion of students. Armed with this data, we committed to addressing multiple challenges concurrently. After careful consideration and consultation with our professor, our innovative solution, capable of tackling three distinct problems simultaneously, garnered a green light to proceed.

From Ideation to Impact: Wrapping Up the Entrepreneurial Mind Odyssey
Welcome to the culmination of our entrepreneurial journey! As we embark on this final episode, let's reflect on the invaluable insights, challenges, and triumphs that have shaped our understanding of the entrepreneurial mind. Join me as we delve into the essence of innovation, resilience, and the unwavering spirit that fuels the entrepreneurial soul. This episode marks not an end, but a celebration of the limitless possibilities that await those with an entrepreneurial mindset.
The initial day of the entrepreneurial mind subject stirred a medley of emotions within me. As I stepped into the classroom, a buzz of cautionary tales circulated, with some classmates portraying it as a formidable challenge. The notion that this subject might be arduous cast a shadow of uncertainty over my expectations. Yet, paradoxically, nestled within this uncertainty was an ember of excitement.
Amidst the whispers of difficulty, there was an undeniable thrill in knowing that this course held the promise of turning imagination into reality. The prospect of creating a product or prototype uniquely mine, something I had long yearned for, injected a surge of enthusiasm into my being. It was the realization that, despite the perceived difficulties, this subject offered a canvas on which I could bring my ideas to life.
Our adventure from the start of our business idea to our final presentation was a team effort filled with creativity and hard work. We began by thinking of a useful product for today's world, something everyone could benefit from. Together, we fine-tuned our idea, considering how it could make a real impact. Then came the interviews, where we talked to potential users and experts to understand their thoughts. This step helped us improve our concept based on real feedback, teaching us the importance of being flexible in business. These documents and talks showed how much effort we put in as a team. We were confident in our product's relevance and impact and ready to share our vision.
This entrepreneurial journey has been a profound learning experience, shaping my understanding of the business landscape from the ground up. One key lesson emerged during the process of deciding on a prototype product: the importance of adaptability. Navigating through various ideas and refining our concept highlighted the need to be flexible and responsive to market dynamics.
Furthermore, the iterative nature of both prototype development and business model creation taught me the value of feedback. Receiving input from potential users, industry experts, and peers proved instrumental in refining our ideas and strategies. It reinforced the idea that successful entrepreneurship is a continuous process of improvement, adaptation, and resilience.
In essence, this entrepreneurial journey has not only equipped me with practical skills in product development and business modeling but has instilled a mindset of constant learning and evolution. From the inception of a prototype product to the intricacies of a well-structured business model canvas, the lessons learned are invaluable assets as I continue to navigate the dynamic world of entrepreneurship.

A significant event was held at CMU's University Convention Center on May 4, 2023. The College of Business and Management conducted its yearly event, a pitching competition and demonstration day, as part of its entrepreneurial course, GEE16 - The Entrepreneurial Mind, which has garnered a lot of attention over the years. This significant event serves as proof of the faculty's and the student's dedication to promoting an innovative and entrepreneurial community. Every academic division from the several universities participating in this competition selects their strongest team and most promising product from among those enrolled in the entrepreneurship course. It is then an honor for this team and product to represent their sections in this major competition. Bringing together the brightest brains will enable the students to work together and gain knowledge from one another in addition to competing. The Soil PH, a soil testing tool created using the most advanced materials, has been designed to help individuals comprehend the state of their soil and, as a result, improve agricultural productivity. In the case of our section, BSABE 2B, the Soil Ph team had the honor of presenting a product that truly encompasses the principles of technological advancement and sustainable development. I experienced a wide range of amazing ideas that were as different as they were impressive as I watched the competition's events. These concepts were motivated by a single, encompassing goal: addressing the issues the university community is now dealing with. The offered solutions included a wide range of industries, including agriculture, engineering, medicine, and even fields concerned with nutrition. The sheer diversity of thoughts served as a powerful reminder of the university students' boundless potential and inventiveness. I had an amazing understanding of the importance of this subject as a result of this comprehensive encounter. Each student's suggestion for an innovation is more than just a project or a submission for a contest. It needs to be considered an investment that is worthwhile too. It's an investment in the student's intellectual development, the university's capacity for innovation, and potential solutions to issues that concern us all. Even though I observed that some people would ignore the value of this training, I was outraged by the result. However, their viewpoint did not surpass the overwhelming proof of the course's worth that I had just discovered. Some of the ideas and inventions cultivated here have the potential to impact not only the institution but, at some point, possibly even the outside world as well.
