this week's episode was so???

so: boyd was infected with the old man's blood. creepy crawlies were slithering around inside him and making him hallucinate. then he infected one of the monsters and it KILLED it. not only killed it, but the other monsters were confused. they were scared. they stopped smiling, observed their fallen comrade and walked away. they didn't bother with boyd or anyone else in the clinic. they could have gotten angry at boyd for harming one of their own and attacked him, but it didn't even seem like they knew that whatever happened was possible.

I'm doing a little rewatch of From and I noticed almost all the time the monsters keep victims' faces intact. Like they usually open up the chest and stomach. I wonder if there's a specific reason for that. Especially with learning from the autopsy that everything is dried up inside them. Since the gallbladder is supposed to digest fat and absorb nutrients, maybe the monsters are trying to consume what they don't have? So, it isn't necessary to damage people's heads. Or who knows, maybe they don't damage people's faces in order to see their reactions the entire time.

Does anyone else have any thoughts?
