Friday Q and A
Tumblr media
here goes!
First up is loyal listener Frank:
1. How would you rate our scudetto chances this season assuming we don't get injury ravaged now that we have an idea of the pieces we have and a taste of the 2021-22 Milan.
Very good. I think it’s a 3 dog race between us, Napoli and inter. I picked napoli in the preseason so I have to stick with them.
2. Most guys thought Tomori for 28m was a bit excessive. How much do you think Tomori is worth now?
After his performance against Liverpool I don’t see how he’s not worth at least 50. CBs are harder than ever to find and he’s only 23.
3. What's your take on this Kessie regression? Fatigue, contract situation or the rise of Tonali..
I think it’s a little bit of everything. That Liverpool game wore him out and had him really frustrated with some teammates. He may have lost a little trust from his teammates that night. I think he’ll be fine.
4. Why did big Mike drop his short sleeved swag? Does Milan have a short sleeve goalie jersey option..
That is a great question. I love the short sleeve look. Totally badass. I love his demeanor. No nonsense and always on point. Steal of the summer easily.
5. Rate our CL chances given what we've so far seen from the group? 2nd round progress, 3rd placed finish or maybe past the 2nd round if we manage to qualify and get a favorable draw.
Personally I think we are screwed. Porto and AM will come to San Siro and shithouse draws. winning away to them will be like sneaking out of hell with an ice cream cone. That leaves wins very hard to come by.
how could it happen? Liverpool start 5-0 making the last game meaningless at San Siro. We get draws and maybe a win at home along the way against Porto and AM and they draw each other. We win that last game at home against a D level Liverpool team and sneak through on 9 points.
Gillis15:
1. if all three are healthy in a must win game, who do you start in the double-pivot between Bennacer, Kessie, and Tonali?
I’ll put it this way. Right now my pecking order would be:
1.Tonali 2a.Kessie 2b. Bennacer
It’s a damn good problem to have considering there was a time we started a midfield of Cristante, De Jong and Nocerino.
2. staying with these same three: if they are clearly part of Milan’s best starting 11, wouldn’t it make sense to switch to a 4-3-1-2 and swap out Saelemaekers with Bennacer, Kessie, or Tonali? I think Rebic/Leao would play well as a second striker complimenting Zlatan/Giroud as well
I love love love that. I would also consider 4321 with Leao and Diaz playing behind and making runs off our striker. It would give our FBs more cover, especially Theo and still have some serious scoring threat. I also think long term tonali can do a job in Diaz’s AM role in a 4231. The confidence is there now.
3. Tomori is the most talented CB at Milan since Thiago Silva and might even be the better athlete. Talk me out of it…(I read he has 28 games played with Milan and 0 yellow cards. Unreal)
Fikayo Tomori has played 28 games including 2376 minutes for Milan
 Goals: 1
 Yellow cards: 0
Yes. He is our best CB since T Silly. There’s no question.
From the guys at Serie A Sitdown:
Are you worried at all by the inconsistencies from the midfield lately(injury/fatigue/contract), in particular Bennacer and Kessie? Why or why not?
I would have been worried as hell if this had come up a month ago. Since then though Tonali has been the most in form of the 3 and it’s really not close. Not only has he lessened the blow of Kessie and Bennacer being off form but he’s also made us, or at least me, forget that we even signed Bakayoko. Just a month ago you could have argued that tonali was 4th in the pecking order.
Tonali’s form won’t last forever though. Kessie form is somewhat worrisome but he’s had stretches like this before. Him I will give a free pass to for now. Bennacer is most worrying. He didn’t even look like he belonged on the field against Liverpool. If Maignan doesn’t save the PK then Bennacer has one of the worst CL debuts in recent history.
From Alex Donno of the great Calcio Connection podcast:
Is a repeat Winter Scudetto coming or will Napoli stand in the way?
I think with Napoli in the discount European League they have clear sailing to the winter title. They are already in great shape in their group so they can really focus on Serie A through the holidays.
If they decide to tank in Europe, like Inter did last year, you might as well go ahead and hand them the Scudetto title right know. A well rested Napoli led by Osimhem and Koulibaly will cruise to the title.
From my buddy Umami on Discord:
Before the Salernitana-Hellas game, what would you had said had a higher chance of happening ? A brace by Milan legend Kalinic or Salernitana getting a point?
Also, What were the odds of both happening?
First of all I must admit I really liked Kalinic. I have a thing for tall goofy looking #9s
Tumblr media
Preferably ones that can score goals though. Unlike Crouch, Kalinic mostly stinks and had an impossibly bad time at Milan. He really had to go. Thanks Montella.
Salernitana on the other hand? This is straight from my preview:
20. SALERNITANA Bet your mortgage on them finishing dead last.
Safe to say any time they get a point this year it will not only be a surprise, it will be a damn miracle.
Both? The world would explode. We’d all be dead.
Thanks everyone for the questions!
Feel free to keep sending in questions. I will be answering them for another hour or so. I will update the page as they come on.
FORZA MILAN!

Every player Liverpool sold or released in 2019 & how they’ve fared
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Liverpool were on top of the world following their 2019-2020 Premier League success after a 30-year wait.Jurgen Klopp has never been afraid to trim his squad at Anfield and the Reds jettisoned eight players after their title success. After looking at the academy graduates who were released by the club in 2020, we’ve now taken a look at the first-team players who were sold or released to see how they’ve fared since. Andy Lonergan Richard Wright, Scott Carson, Robert Green – some of the Premier League’s most successful teams have contained goalkeepers that you won’t find us suggesting have been signed just to fill those pesky homegrown quotas. Lonergan is cut from the same cloth. The goalkeeper has been a Football League stalwart for the past two decades apart from a brief interlude in Klopp’s title-winning gang. He was included on the bench for the 2019 Super Cup final and both of Liverpool’s Club World Cup matches but failed to make it onto the pitch. A former England youth international, Lonergan moved to Championship side Stoke but his only appearance in the 2020-21 season was during the League Cup defeat to Tottenham. The 37-year-old signed a short-term deal with West Brom in January 2021 and has remained at the club following their relegation. Adam Lallana Lallana was an important part of the Liverpool team after his 2014 arrival, but his final few seasons at Anfield were marked by injuries and diminishing returns. The former England midfielder scored a crucial equaliser at Old Trafford during the title-winning season but it was his first Liverpool goal in over two years. Other players rose to prominence and Lallana found himself squeezed out. A move to Brighton should have been the catalyst for the 33-year-old’s renaissance – but the jury’s still out about that. He’s certainly had his moments, including helping Brighton secure their first win at Liverpool since 1982 and securing an impressive comeback win over Manchester City. But injuries have stalled any momentum despite the 30 league appearances Lallana made. His experience has still proven invaluable to a young Brighton squad but hope remains that Lallana get back to his own former best next season. It wasn’t so long ago that the full-back was a starter in both the Liverpool and England sides. But both have improved immeasurably in the past five years and Clyne’s well-documented injury struggles mean he’s been left behind. He made no appearances during 2019-20 after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury in pre-season and was released by the club at the season. Former club Crystal Palace stepped in and gave Clyne an opportunity to regain fitness. After playing for their Under-23 team, Clyne signed a short-term deal with the Premier League side and made his debut during a victory at Fulham in October 2020. He made a total of 14 appearances during Roy Hodgson’s final season at Selhurst Park but was released, alongside 21 others, last month. Dejan Lovren One of the world’s best defenders (his words, not ours) ended a six-year spell at Liverpool by securing a €12million move to Zenit Saint Petersburg. The ridicule of the Croatia defender has always masked his genuine merits and Lovren has made a good impression in Russia. His performances at the heart of defence were instrumental in securing Zenit their seventh league title and Lovren was awarded the captaincy after the previous incumbent, Artem Dzyuba, was stripped of the honour. Lovren also made two appearances for Croatia at Euro 2020 as his country reached the knockout stages. Ovie Ejaria After spending the 2019-20 season on loan at Championship side Reading, Ejaria made the permanent switch to the Madjeski Stadium for an undisclosed fee. Despite his undoubted talent, the attacking midfielder has frustrated Reading fans at times with his inconsistencies. After one dazzling display against QPR, that should have contained a hat-trick of assists, some supporters noted his ability to even surprise himself and run into cul-de-sac’s when in possession. Ejaria has immense dribbling skills and close control but only scored three goals in 33 Championship appearances. Safe to say that Reading fans will be hoping there’s more to come. Ovie Ejaria taught Millwall’s Mahlon Romeo the waltz at the weekend 🤣🕺#360 pic.twitter.com/V5PT1YQKNq — Soccer AM (@SoccerAM) November 4, 2019 Ki-Jana Hoever Hoever became the third youngster player in Liverpool’s illustrious history when he played against Wolves in the FA Cup third round in January 2019. Eighteen months later, the centre-back was on the move to Molineux. £9million changed hands between the two clubs and Hoever had an opportunity to establish himself in one of the Premier League’s more exciting squads. After a handful of substitute appearances, he made his full debut against Manchester United and acquitted himself well at Old Trafford as Wolves were only defeated by a late deflected goal. The Netherlands youth international made 15 appearances in all competitions and, aged just 19, will be hoping to build upon this next season. Rhian Brewster Brewster undoubtedly has potential but his move to Sheffield United has been a disaster so far. Looking to consolidate after an impressive return to the Premier League, Chris Wilder spent £23.5million on the 20-year-old to rectify their goalscoring issues. The result? Brewster failed to score once and Sheffield United spent the entire campaign anchored to the bottom of the league. Maybe he’ll find his feet in the Championship, especially after a previous impressive spell in the division at Swansea. And we’re reluctant to write off a player who only turned 21 in April. But Brewster’s stock is definitely lower than this time last year. Herbie Kane Kane would always have found it unlikely to break into Liverpool’s first XI and he secured a move to Barnsley in October 2020. The Bristol-born midfielder has found himself playing for one of the Championship’s surprise success stories. Despite having no expectations, Barnsley reached the play-offs and Kane made 27 appearances during their campaign. After Valerien Ismael moved to West Brom, the 22-year-old Kane will be looking to further establish himself under their next manager. After drawing 0-0 at Stamford Bridge on opening day, both teams have gone on to win their next two against FC Krasnodar and Rennes. The Blues’ form in the Champions League has matched their good domestic form, where their win over Newcastle at the weekend has taken them up to second in the EPL. An inconsistent start to the season, where they were drawing too many games, appears to be behind them and with summer signing Timo Werner finally finding his best form, they have a menacing air about them. By contrast, Champions League new boys Rennes are bottom of Group E with just one point earned so far from their 1-1 draw with Krasnodar on opening day, and are effectively battling the Russians for the third-place that brings with it entry into the Europa League. It’s hard to see Rennes beating Chelsea – especially after losing 3-0 in the reverse fixture – but with their route to the knockout phase all but assured, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will use this as a chance to play some fringe players. On that basis, there’s value here in the draw. Pick: Rennes and Chelsea to draw (+290) Pick 2: Paris Saint-Germain vs RB Leipzig Unlike Group E, it’s all very much to play for in Group H, with just three points separating the four teams going into Matchday 4. Both RB Leipzig and PSG lost at the hands of Manchester United in the early rounds but things went from bad to worse for the Parisiens when in the reverse fixture of this game, they lost in Leipzig. As a result, this one is a must-win for the French champions and last season’s finalists, in what is a repeat of the 2019-20 semifinal. RB are currently three points better off than PSG, with their humiliating 5-0 defeat in Manchester being offset by a solid 2-0 home win over İstanbul Başakşehir and the more-impressive 2-1 win over the French champions. A win here would almost guarantee them their place in the knockout stages. While PSG start as -177 odds-on favorites, this will be much closer than those odds suggest, and with so much at stake for both teams there’s an argument that says this will be tight, tactical, and could end in a low-scoring draw. But, I’m going big in this and can see excellent value in the away win. RB are a good side – they’ve only lost once this season – while PSG have found this season’s UCL a slog, and so the Germans could edge this one. Pick: RB Leipzig to win (+425) 2021 UEFA Champions League Odds Tracker Read More Pick 3: Borussia Dortmund vs Club Brugge BVB lead Group F but are still far from comfortable in a group that has developed into a three-way battle for the top two places. After losing their opening game of the campaign away to Lazio, Dortmund have since won twice – at home to Zenit and away to Brugge – and currently lead the group, a point ahead of Lazio and two ahead of the Belgians. A win here for Brugge would see them leapfrog the Germans and so hand the initiative to Lazio, and it’s worth noting that Club did win their only other away win of the group so far – that tricky opener in St Petersburg. But BVB at home, even in an empty stadium, are formidable and it’s been six cup games since they last lost at home in the Westfalenstadion, while Brugge have drawn a blank in eight of their last 20 away cup games. Despite that win in Russia, they are not good travelers. There’s little value in the home win here, but the 2-0 BVB win on offer at +600 is tempting. Pick: BVB to win 2-0 (+600) The post Champions League Group Stage Matchday 4 Odds & Predictions Nov 24: RB Leipzig a tempting +425 to win in Paris appeared first on Sports Betting Dime. via Sports Betting Dime https://www.sportsbettingdime.com November 23, 2020 at 02:32AM https://tructiepbongda8.com/ https://tructiepbongda8.com/link-sopcast-bong-da/ View on Trello https://tructiepbongda8.com/ https://tructiepbongda8.com/link-sopcast-bong-da/

Ranking all Tottenham signings since the sale of Gareth Bale
Hey everyone! It's a very slow day at work and I've been daydreaming about actually signing someone in the upcoming transfer window which led me to thinking about all the past incoming transfers. Selling Gareth Bale was the point that I believe Tottenham started to move into the next phase to where the club is at now. So here you have it, every signing ranked since the summer Bale left for Real Madrid:
.30) Vincent Janssen
Poor guy... It's tough to put him at the very bottom as he has shown brief glimpses of quality here and there (especially in his first year). However, going from a 25+ million pound signing and top scorer in the Netherlands to not even having your name or number on the match day program is pretty awful.
29) Clinton N'Jie
Someone who had so little impact on Spurs that it's tough to even say anything about him here. Never really showed what he was capable of and was sold fairly quickly after being bought.
28) DeAndre Yedlin
Strange signing even when it happened. Never showed that he had the quality for a side at Tottenham's level at any point during his career. However, he was fairly cheap, brought in some new fans from America, and is still doing a passable job at Newcastle.
27) Federico Fazio
He should feel hard done by with this transfer. Honestly he is a fairly capable CB on his day. He was just so slow and with the way Spurs play with the high line was just never going to do a good job.
26) Roberto Soldado
It hurts me to put his name so far down this list as he showed more heart than many others. He just never could quite get the confidence he needed and couldn't score from open play. We'll always have that goal against Everton though :')
25) Pau Lopez
Forgot we even signed this guy to be honest. I can't even remember if he made a single appearance for the first team. He was cheap (or even signed on a free?) though so he isn't in dead last. Yay.
24) Vlad Chiriches
The most terrified I've ever been watching a Tottenham CB. You never knew what he would do next whether it be lob it over an oncoming attacker's head or give away a PK in the 3rd minute of a game. Was never a stable part of the Tottenham back line.
23) Benjamin Stambouli
Nothing much to say about him. Never was quality enough and it was tough to understand the transfer at all.
22) Etienne Capoue
Another one in the similar vein to Stambouli, but Capoue did show good flashes here and there. Still doing a solid job for Watford so good on him.
21) Georges-Kevin N'Koudou
Similar to N'Jie in that he came from France as a pacey winger and never did much. He did jump like 5 spots in this final ranking though for that cross to beat Fulham this year. What a guy.
20) Kevin Wimmer
Was an absolute world beater that one season filling in for an injured Vertonghen, then never found form again. Strange career with Spurs and still hasn't been able to pick up form again at Stoke. While I was sad to see him go, I was mainly heartbroken that Son lost his best friend.
19) Michel Vorm
I guess you could call Michel Vorm a serviceable backup to Lloris? Never made any huge blunders from what I can remember, but a lack of game time and major positives put him far down the list.
18) Paulinho
Won't ever forget his inspired half against stoke before the dirty prick Charlie Adam put him out for a few months. More of a problem of AVB's brand of football than Paulinho's actual ability (as evident by him being pretty good for Barcelona of all teams), but he never seemed to show up for Tottenham.
17) Paulo Gazzaniga
Ok honestly, I made this list and I think he should be ranked higher. But, it's hard to justify with the very limited time he's had so far. He's been as good of a backup as you could hope for but there just isn't a large enough sample size to justify ranking him higher, especially with Lloris still being as good as he is. If this list is re-made in two years it's very possible Gazzaniga is ranked much higher.
16) Juan Foyth
Young but with lots of promise, Foyth is one to watch for the future for sure. Very prone to errors but is energetic and pretty skilled from what I've seen thus far.
15) Serge Aurier
Not quite the RB replacement we have all been clamoring for, but been good enough to be a solid rotation option with...
14) Kieran Trippier
Trippier just edges out Aurier in these rankings by virtue of being with Tottenham for longer. Neither are quite strong enough to be the first-team RB for Spurs (and I hope RB is something that's addressed this summer) but either is a fine choice.
13) Nacer Chadli
Again, partly a fault of AVB's system, but Chadli showed flashes of excellence while also being a consistently decent player. Never one to really be the star of the team, but had enough goals and assists to justify his price tag and was a solid staple of the squad for a few years.
12) Fernando Llorente
Yes he runs like a newborn giraffe but you can't deny that he has scored some CRUCIAL goals for Spurs this season. He was signed to come in and show experience and class when Kane can't play and he has done that as much as he could.
11) Ben Davies
People sometimes forget that there was a time when Ben Davies was regularly keeping Rose on the bench due to his consistency and defensive quality. Never quite as good as Rose at going forward but he has picked up the odd goal and assist here and there. I hope Davies stays with the team as long as he's happy to rotate with Rose.
10) Moussa Sissoko
Holy hell if this list was made even a year ago I think most people would have put Sissoko toward the very bottom. But dear god has he pulled through for us this year. What a player he is turning out to be.
9) Victor Wanyama
Injuries are unfortunately starting to take their toll on Wanyama and it seems like his time with Spurs is probably coming to an end this summer or next... but in his prime he was absolutely unplayable. Unbelievably strong off the ball, fantastic defensive work rate, and who could ever forget the rocket against Liverpool.
8) Lucas Moura
On his day, Lucas is absolutely immense. His pace, dribbling, and skill is untouchable if he hits form. His form is wildly inconsistent though. Against United and Huddersfield this year he was the best player on the pitch by a mile. He works hard and runs blindingly quick but does seem to have a tendency to go invisible at times. Also don't forget that when signed in January, did almost nothing that spring part of the season.
7) Eric Dier
Another player that seems to have fallen off a bit this year but Dier has been a very solid midfield option for us since Poch moved him from CB. Great player to add depth to the team and best friends with Dele on top of all of that.
6) Erik Lamela
Signed as a direct replacement to Gareth Bale, Lamela never reached even close to the highs that we were promised...... at first anyway. While I may be blinded by my giant bias for him, I don't think any other player works as hard off the bench as Lamela and he always injects a bit of creativity to the game. Most would probably rate him a bit lower but fuck it I love Erik.
5) Davinson Sanchez
Woo-hoo top 5. Sanchez is still so young, but is slowly starting to cement himself as a very solid option at the back. Whether it's filling in for Toby or Verts, or slotting into a back 3 with them he rarely puts a foot wrong and is going to be a CB of the future for Spurs.
4) Heung-Min Son
Honestly, any of these top 4 could have a case for #1. But Son gets the 4 spot here from me as early in his Spurs career he really wasn't living up to his hype. Obviously in the past two years he has been absolute quality though and as his time at Spurs continues he will only rise further up this list.
3) Dele Alli
Creative, clinical, and hilarious as well, Dele Alli is a player I hope to see at Spurs for his whole career. Changes the game when he is playing and is a positive influence on and off the pitch. Happy he has cut the shithousing out of his game a bit, and oh did I mention he only cost 5 mil and is better than Ozil?
2) Toby Alderweireld
Formed one of the best CB partnerships in the world with Jan Vertonghen by his side, helped turn the old WHL into a fortress the final season, plays diagonal balls to the wide forwards with pinpoint accuracy. Legend.
1) Christian Eriksen
The heartbeat of the team. Whether it's placing a cross perfectly onto Kane's head or Dele's boot, smashing two free-kicks in the same game, or scoring from 30 yards out in the final minutes, Eriksen is one of the best Spurs signings of the modern era. Please Levy, have him sign it.
There you have it! I almost definitely could have found something more constructive to do in my down time but I think this was a good call. Feel free to rip apart my decisions, I was going solely based on memory and researched almost nothing. COYS.
