Ice cream preferences? Ice cream preferences.

Demo probably ordered rum rasin once, thinking it actually had rum in it but actually ended up liking it. I think he also likes pralines and cream or pistachio. He likes wafflecones to an unhealthy extent.

Engie likes anything with peanut butter. He also likes chocolate chip cookie dough. He will eat an entire tub of ice cream, but he deserves it, so it's fine.

Heavy likes all of the traditional flavors, vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and stuff like that. But he hates neapolitan. He's in the same boat as Engie. They just eat the entire tub together.

Medic loves Cherry Garcia, like unhealthy love. He also really likes anything with strawberry sause (looks like blood, he's a little freak he'd eat ice cream out of a human skull if you let him).

Scout likes cookies and cream. He also really likes dirtcups (hot fudge, chocolate ice cream, crushed oreo, and gummy worms, in case you didn't know). I genuinely think this man can't eat "boring" foods. Like he has to have crunch in his food. He's not allowed to eat in cones anymore. Don't ask him about it. (Also, hc him as lactose intolerant, he just doesn't care.)

When it comes to Sniper, never let him live down the fact that in Australia, they have "Golden Gaytimes." As a viable ice cream option. He doesn't mind them. He gave Scout an aneurysm when he asked if he wanted one. But he's more of a plain chocolate guy. He eats it in out of the tub or in a dish, depending on how he feels.

Spy he likes coffee ice cream and makes it his entire personality. He's so mature for liking it, right guys?? He's just sooooo refined. No scout, you didn't see him ordering a double fudge brownie with sprinkles. They just messed up his order. No, he can't return it now! that'd be rude. (It's in a sugar cone, btw)

Pyro loves bubblegum, Superman, and Blue Moon. They eat it in those cones with chocolate and sprinkles on them! They also like the SpongeBob popsicles.

I've seen people say the mercs have board game nights, and I love that idea, so....

Uno is banned. Strictly. It's not even funny. They played it once, and the moment the +4 card was played, all hell broke loose.

They all play poker or Cards Against Humanity at least once a week. Sometimes, they'll pick someone's favorite game to play.

Demo likes Yahtzee and Scrabble. He's just kinda chill like that.

Engie and Pyro both like the same games for the most part. They play Jenga a lot. Also, checkers!

Heavy really likes chess and connect 4.

Do not play board games with Medic. This man has anger issues. But if you really want to, candyland and life are his favorites.

Scout has a hard time playing video games. He can't pay attention at all. But if you play a card game like Red Flags or We're Not Really Strangers, he'll be able to focus on it.

Sniper, Spy, and Soilder all like traditional card games. Black Jack, Cribbage, Eucher, etc.

Week 1: Lumineers, Karaoke, EPIC, Glendalough

Hi everyone! It’s been a super busy but amazing first week at UCD! I checked in Sunday afternoon, met my roommates, and sent my Dad to get everything I needed while my Mom and I unpacked all of my stuff. Housing is included in the program and four of us have our own bedrooms and share two bathrooms and a living area/kitchen. We then went to dinner and I said my goodbyes and headed back to UCD so I could be well rested for orientation Monday.

Orientation Monday we had orientation, a tour of the campus, and a welcome dinner at the UCD University Club restaurant. The dinner was good and we were even served a glass of wine! A bunch of us then decided to skip the summer at UCD trip to Dunnes Stores(like Target) and head downtown. We took the bus for the first time using our leap cards provided(each ride is about 2 euro) which was easy to navigate and the ride back home was full of other UCD students.

EPIC Tuesday we began classes and had our first field trip to the EPIC museum for Irish Emigration. There, we learned stories about Emigrants and motives of Emigration. When we returned to campus and ate dinner at pi restaurant, which our program includes, and headed to Dunne’s stores. The night finished with some Eucher(I still don’t know how to play) and other card games. Summer at UCD also offered a trip to the Forty Foot(they offer many opportunities) but we skipped as we were exhausted from the rest of the day. we began classes and had our first field trip to the EPIC museum for Irish Emigration. There, we learned stories about Emigrants and motives of Emigration. When we returned to campus and ate dinner at pi restaurant, which our program includes, and headed to Dunne’s stores. The night finished with some Eucher(I still don’t know how to play) and other card games. Summer at UCD also offered a trip to the Forty Foot(they offer many opportunities) but we skipped as we were exhausted from the rest of the day.

Blackrock Wednesday we had classes again but had a break from 11-2 so I decided to run to the coastal suburb of Blackrock which is a little over 2 miles away. It was very cute and I enjoyed an iced latte and avocado toast at a local cafe. I returned to campus by bus for our first physics lab. Then, my friend Sammy and I went back to Blackrock to get some Poke before heading back to UCD where we hung out with friends, planned some trips, and played cards.

Karaoke Thursday was full of classes including 9-11 physics lecture, 11-1 physics tutorial(like discussion), and 2-5 physics lab. So far, physics is a little confusing but the tutorials are definitely a helpful way to get to know the content. We finished lab early so headed to Dundrum Mall then the UCD student bar for Karaoke. The mall was massive and overwhelming, but Karaoke was so fun and the student bar offers a wide variety of drinks for much less than downtown(around 4-5 euro)!

Lumineers Friday was another day of classes but Sarah and I also went to see the Lumineers at St Annes Park! The concert and venue were amazing and the tickets were way less expensive than the ones at home.

Hollywood and Glendalough Yesterday we had a program day trip to Hollywood and Glendalough. The town of Hollywood includes a very old church which we got exclusive access to and has been the sight of film productions. We had some time to explore so we stopped into the local cafe for an amazing scone and latte. We then got back in our bus to Glendalough where we got a tour of the Monastic Site and were left to explore the area. We headed to the upper lake and then hiked up the mountain before heading down for ice cream and to get back on the bus. The scenery of Glendalough reminded me a lot of home(Colorado). We arrived back around 4:30 and I did laundry before heading to Sushi and then Downtown with friends.

This Monday is a Bank Holiday, so this post is coming from a train to Galway. Unlike past years, our day trips don’t include a trip to Cliffs of Moher so a group of us decided to visit it and stay overnight in Galway so that we can explore the town. Can’t wait to show you my adventures of Galway and the rest of next week!
