Nate had all but given up on being social. He was overwhelmed, disheveled, and ready for the night to be over, but just in case someone from the family called to see ‘how things were going’ he knew he couldn’t leave until midnight. It wasn’t an easy task to find a place to hide in, but he’d somehow managed it. It looked like it was a small office and he was sure someone simply forgot to lock the door, but Nate slipped inside and pulled out the thin book of poems, worn and littered with writing in the margins, taking out his pen and tapping it to his lip as he sat back and set to relaxing. Three pages in and the door burst open, causing Nate to fall back out of the chair with his heart racing and Cosmo licking his face. His heart rate only slowed as he looked up and saw a girl- or a young woman rather, not the ghosts of his past. Though he hadn’t moved, he groaned out a quick, “You all right, miss?”

“Don’t threaten me with a good time, Ev – I’m gonna do it and you know it,” Asher teased, a smirk on his lips along with a raise of his brows to emphasize what he was saying. “Man, I’d get so many tips,” he sighed as if he was already dreaming up the rather unlikely scenario. As much as Asher liked running his mouth, he rarely pulled through. While he’d been blessed, or cursed, with a big mouth, he knew that he wasn’t exactly the most intimidating and would often back track but that didn’t keep him from doing so again and again.

It was funny to Asher sometimes, to know that not everyone had grown up the way he did and that while he could do whatever he wanted for the most part, sometimes he’d longed for the structure. The rules and boundaries others had. There was a carelessness and disinterest that came with his freedom and in a way, it had shaped him to be exactly who he was now. He couldn’t help but wonder if he’d have a proper education. A job that paid more than the two he somehow tried to keep up with and yet, never really found the motivation to do more than what was asked of him. Asher was sure there were pros and cons for every situation though, so he couldn’t bring himself to care too much. “Nah, I just know how to fake it,” he joked, shrugging. He’d never been good at accepting compliments. “Oh yeah and it’s all good until you realize you’re actually conscious and it’s your reality so that kinda sucks sometimes, there's no way to deny that. But hey, it’s home. It’s where I grew up so…you get used to it,” he added. “Sounds like this isn’t your average growing up experience though, huh?”

description: occupation and background are largely up to player other than the fact that they are from alabama and grew up on a ranch. this connection would be of evanie’s sister, either older than her or the same age (twin). i would like this muse to be quite independent and a lot more put together than evanie herself, able to help her sister when things get tough. the connection between evanie and her sister will be extremely close and they will both rely on one another to get through life, whatever path they decide to choose.

“Okay, I am in love with all of your sequin tonight! You look amazing, girl!” Amelia exclaimed as she came up to Evanie and wrapped her arms around her to give her a hug in greeting. They became quick friends and bonded over their jobs of being bartenders. “How’s it going? Did you just get here? Do you want to get drinks?” She asked with a soft chuckle escaping her lips though grinned ear to ear, happy to see her friend and get caught up.
